  1. How far are you guys willing to drive? I'm currently trying to organize something for Southern New Hampshire. Depending on where you live, it might not be a bad drive. We need just a few more people and we can play some Xrd, and probably some BB or P4 as well.
  2. Note* I was not saying we should meet in Boston. So, you've hosted before? That's great! Plus, Salem is a good location because it's pretty accessible from much of MA as well as NH, which can get us some more players.
  3. Really, nice! I think we could organize something small with at least 5 people. Where would we meet up? The guys south of us meet up in a bar in Boston, but that's only possible because there's like 50 of them (ALL PLAYING SMASH BROS) and they're of age. Where could a smaller group meet-up, since I doubt we can rent a bar for 5 people wanting to play Xrd.
  4. Also, anyone know what's up with
  5. Just finished storymode; here are a few thoughts!
  6. Anyone know what the 417MB patch we just got was?
  7. Gameunderground is incredibly far from me and I work weekends, so I'm completely out of luck. There used to be air-dashing in Sommervile on Tuesdays, but they got pushed out by Smash right after I started attending.
  8. Right, that makes two of us. I'm in Bedford. You'd think between Nashua and Manchester we'd have more players. We need just a few more people and then we can plan a meetup.
  9. Well, Hazama only hides it when he needs to, such as when he's setting up plans. If he went around screaming "I'm Evil!" he wouldn't have gotten very far in Calamity Trigger or Continuum Shift. As for Terumi, he was flat out summoned by the remaining Heroes to be killed. I don't think he would have had any benefit to being low-key at that point. So it's a moot point. For all we know Terumi would have been exactly the same as Hazama in the first two games, all things being equal aside from the bodies.
  10. Well we got it, didn't we? Terumi is playable. You know, having two distinct characters with such similar appearances, personalities, and plot-details that people can't tell them apart sounds like a bad idea.
  11. Honestly, it depends; you need a mix of matches. Usually, fighting people around you're skill level with the occasional monster fight is best, I find. If you fight only the best, you'll probably learn nothing anything soon. Remember, your opponent is human too. If they're dominating you that much and are actually good, it should be easy for them to adjust to whatever you "learn." At the same time, it's always nice to see a bit of high level play. Ultimately though, you need to be able to practice whatever you learn to make it working knowledge of the game and you can't do that if you're being shutdown. Plus, not everyone is amazing at the game and playing lower skill players makes you a bit more well rounded against all skill levels and gives you an understanding of what works and what doesn't, and why.
  12. From my understanding, "Hazama" was really Terumi in his nice little borrowed body and using an alias. But, given how much has been retconned and twisted over the years, who knows for sure. In principle, "Time Killer" should have ended Terumi. If it actually accomplished that, it was anti-climatic. If it didn't, it was a completely pointless wash for the sake of introducing an Order-Sol character.
  13. I have been wanting an "Anti Terumi" whose life goal is to screw with Terumia and the rest of the villains in Blazblue the same way Terumi screws with the heroes. But it'll probably never happen.
  14. All right, all right! There must be people Southern New Hampster area looking for matchups. Salem, Nashua, Manchester, and more! Roll Call so we can see what's what!
  15. Just Moved to New Hampshire! Hm, anything near Manchester?
  16. Not really, unless they've reworked it recently. It goes over blocking and punishing basic block strings, hit confirming, and "pressure." But it's very quick and rudimentary, for the most part. It's a lot better than nothing, but at the same time it still doesn't really teach you what you really need to know. You can watch it here.
  17. Well, I got into the scene with BlazBlue and have only touched GG occasionally. With that in mind; I think this dub sucks. The voices don't fit half the characters and the lines are delivered awkwardly.
  18. Given all the attention Xrd has gotten online by hobbyists has really made the crummy translation amusing. "We've gone with Strangely Compelling because we're niche!" "But everyone wants to play Xrd."
  19. I might depending on the price and the quality of the netplay; netplay should be better than on the PS3, and I'd at least know that 1 person in a 100 mile radius has the game.
  20. Oh, right. Which begs the question; how does that affect Hazama. Is he going to turn back into the Kazuma guy, or will it end up that the Entire "Kill Terumi" subplot was completely pointless? I have a hard time believe Hazama is truly dead since he's conflict with Ragna was never resolved, and his death was anti-climatic.
  21. Well, Leo's profile has been translated and apparently he's a vain, egotistical little thing. He hates people he thinks that are better than him and constantly writes people's names into his personal dictionary. His sister is the devil, apparently.
  22. About Hazama and "Time Killer:" I believe that thing effectively "freezes" time for the victim. It's said to "end their time?" Of course, that was the English version, so that's not too reliable. If that's the case, the life-link shouldn't matter; Hazama would still be alive, just frozen in time and unable to act.
  23. She kinda looks like it with that dress and all those guns.
  24. Hopefully we can toggle voices by character.
  25. Not sure if it was a Strangely Compelling Cup of Tea.
