Well in my case it is more like: Input Counter-Assault, get nothing. Input throw, get nothing. Input Dragon Punch, get nothing. Reversal Super, nothing. I'm not talking about messing it up and getting stomped for it. I am talking about nothing occurring. I don't even get counter-hit for my supposed errors. These experiences are not just isolated to me. A few of my regular PSN friends report similar issues. Although I cannot say for certain it is the netcode, I am still very suspicious. I never had issues in any of the previous games or in Arcana Heart. Who knows maybe it IS me? Anyways I retract my remarks regarding this game's flawless internet play.

It has the older netcode that was still halfway passable. Although your point stands. Logic has no place in the real world.

Is that the same Seiyaria that broke me in half in Arcana Heart 3 with Scharl? O.o Oh the nightmares..... Later today I plan to host a room. If people are too embarrassed to ask for an invite I will leave some slots open. I will post when I make it. My only real rule is to pass it if you clear the room. I just find it respectful. Use mics if you have them. Lifeless rooms are incredibly dull. Oh and laggy people will be removed. Although I tend to be a good host for most of the world. If something comes up and I am unable to play I will post that as well.

Well we only played AH3 the one time. You were having internet issues the last time we had overlapping free time. :/ Nice to know about the capitals though.

Well people should not complain if they are not willing to exhaust their options. Although people being afraid of rejection is possible I suppose. However, thinking about it, perhaps the game could have included a closed lobby PM feature. So people can easily ask if there are free slots in closed rooms. And in my defense my PSN ID only has 1 capital letter so it is not too difficult to remember.

I just don't understand why people don't ask for invites. On the rare occasion I set up a room it is normally to play with friends. However, there is likely always extra space. Asking never hurts. At least in my opinion. Courtesies are given if one is bold enough extend one of their own. Usually.

I can't say I have ever tried to beat down Ada before going after Carl. What a funny idea. Most Carl players will always keep Nirvana in front of them(which is the smart way to do it). Next time I play this match-up I will try and be a bit more patient with it. If I can make Carl worry about losing his sister then the battle is won!

I will follow this up with a little myself. Doc covered a lot of it. It looks like you have an idea of how the combos are supposed to work. That is a great thing! Getting more practice doing them will help your damage soar. However, it looks like you are very nervous while playing. And the only real cure for that is to....play more! Practice a bit and then go back and try again. Also, keep in mind that there is always going to be lag in netplay so try and not take anything too seriously. And above all else just have fun.

Excalibur is annoying. But a 4D is not too hard to do to avoid it. Granted you have to be expecting it. But you should ALWAYS be expecting that. I need to get some games of this in soon. Maybe this weekend.

I don't play this match-up a lot so I am always scratching my head when it comes to effective ways to approach Carl. It seems to me like this just turns into a game of jump-over-the-doll. Is it always supposed to play out like that? Noel has very limited range and Optic Barrel is only so effective. Any suggestions for approaching?

With my finite time I can only stick with what I already know(at least for now). New games can provide a person with a huge learning curve to deal with. I took a lot of time for me to adjust to Arcana Heart's faster gameplay. I will at least give something a shot. Even if I have no plans to play it competitively, fun with others is fun, and fun is just fun. I played Tekken 6 with Blinky and it wasn't even that bad!

I think it is the new game's netcode. It is deceptive but there is a noticeable amount of input lag/delay(not always). I have had a lot of trouble with it. Even with connections that were outstanding in CS2.

Thanks for the games of Tekken Blinky. I will get some more practice in eventually and we can try that again. Oddly the netplay was better than BlazBlue's. :/

I will still drop pretty much everything to get some games of this in. Although, I have not been on it so much since BB:CSX released(had to clean off the rust), I would still play this if I have the time. I also used to host a regular Tuesday casuals session until my work hours changed. Once I am certain they will be stable again I may restart a regular weekly session. I used to always have a full room. Edit: I am sure this has been mentioned previously, but the PSN outage really hurt this game's release. If you look around you can still find plenty of people that have the game and enjoy playing it.

I should be there with at least 1, possibly 2, non-forum members. Interested parties nonetheless. Unless my job decides to fuck me over at the last minute. Although I told them a long time ago I would be out of town that weekend. Hard to say with John Deere.

After trying this out I can verify it. I was wondering why it was missing during matches after having it function fine in Training Mode. I delayed it a bit and it suddenly became perfectly viable again. Also, I have played Noel on pad since CT. She is definitely usable in such a manner. Hell I could swear I saw DSmoove win a tournament with Noel on pad.

Ha. If we play more I can likely record more complete and utter bullshit gameplay mechanics. hahaha

You'll manage I am sure. I finally got over my Bronchitis(mostly) and that cold that came with it is long dead. The cold where my body temperature was lower than normal. Not sure what that means. I hope I am not dead.

School is most important. But right after that is not letting existing plans go to hell. Especially for the people who hate netplaying. I'd watch GG but I don't think I'd participate. I have virtually no understanding of it. And my records reflect how well that went in Arcana Heart 3. ><;
