What kind of stuff?

I am some how not surprised. Antii bought one last week and then I finally coughed up the $20 my self. It already permanently smells like cigs, lol.

Yeah, they just played on the far cab all night, probably for like 3 or more hours. The red testament is getting to be too strong for the red pot:psyduck: Wait, does this mean Bodom will be at current saturday night? edit: rtl, you should come play games this weekend on friday, and maybe come drink if you're into that. Shinjuku really isn't all that far from where you live :x

I'm not one for remembering things like you are Basically the only things of note were that Chris(super metal norway man) was there and having some relationship problems. Apparently he hooked up with this chick who was super drunk, but has a bf of 4 years, and thought he had become her mistress. It turned out, however, that it was just a drunken mistake and I some how managed to talk them both through it(though my sobriety at the time is also very questionable..) and we're all friends now. Anti was there and Sushi, Antii and I all rocked out at a side table for most of the night. 28 year old version got fucking smashed. Saturday Antii rolled in again with a cohort of Fins and proceeded to buy enough beer to fill my dorm room. By the end of the night they were fuckkkkked(I was too, sorry I was sending out crazy drunken mails). I happened to randomly bump into meg's best friend and we talked for a long time(chris might even be hooking up with her?!). She was telling me how she had been telling meg to be careful of the random Gaijin she seemed like she was falling for, which kinda pissed me off, but also made me man-blush because I was the talk of many a conversation it seemed. Either way she ended up saying sorry, because I turned out to not be a douchebag, and I think might have helped my current situation. Meg'll be there saturday so I need a good showing. Oh, and to keep the thread dloop relative... Nemo had like a 40 game winstreak on FAB friday night at Vegas. It was interrupted by token victories here and there but FAB must have dropped like 30 bucks that night on Nemo's Test. All the regulars were there pretty much, including the regular sexiness, and I even won a couple sets. I went again on sat, but because of the tourney it was way too crowded, and I was kinda tired from appartment hunting all day so I just went to current early and pounded like 3 redbull vodkas in under an hour. Never do that. It sucks.

dj ID combos are generally the best imo, and deal a little more dmg than the easier versions on average. The best dmg way to start an ID with Jam(and the combo I see the most) is 5d j.h dj.s h land what ever your heart desires. Its really only worth it to go for it in the corner, unless you have a charge kick or are going to blow meter to get your opponent to the corner.

Dude, slightly random, but the girl we have occasionally been meeting(and some of us making out with) is named Mai right???? I swear to god I ran into her 2 nights back and she was telling me her name was Miki??? At first I chalked it up to me being randomly drunk and some how putting Mai's face on a random girl, but then she started talking about doing things we'd done together and I started to get real confused.... Either way, Mai has just risen to class S of sketchy in my book. Beware:8/:

I was just wondering if it lead to overall more damage due to cutting out needless hits before the first bomber. Either way, that dude was beast, and yet not Shoot. Are there any famous axl's that play default color?
-
I havn't actually played it yet, but I will tell you that Illya is in as an easter egg. Some guy was playing on a cab behind me while I was playing gear and he eventually beat the game. While the credits roll you get to play around with a little illya sprite, so maybe she's unlockable(since she is sprited?)? Cross your fingers.

Yesterday there was this beast axl at Vegas, and he was doing green chain frc iad jd > bomber loop. Is that the new ish or was he just being flashy?
-
I'm a lost cause. /emo

Alright, I'm off to Vegas. Rtl, check your pms or some such, we should play some games~ Mike, kick some Inaka ass, but beware of slayer.

Ross is just a bad influence, lol. Honestly to have the snusheads tell it, the current incarnation of snus is rather harmless if you don't abuse it(which we dont). If we're going to look at worst case scenario stuff, alcohol is just as bad so theres no real use worrying about cancer vs. liver failure. The point of life is to live it while we can, and right now the biggest thing I'm worried about is the beer belly I'm developing... and why the girls keep mentioning it(even though I'm way skinnier than when I got here???).

Does any one actually do jd djh as their ID starter? The timing is pretty strict using 2x jh that I don't see why you'd want to bother for like 3 extra damage.
-
I think the original tier list doesn't represent the current game environment properly. Thus I propose a new list: SS tier: DoT frc S tier: Little Eddie, Pot buster frc A tier: Does anything else even matter?

I've had no such problems

more like OVER 400!!!!

Bad is the wrong word. Our best just happen to rank in with the mid tier of Japanese players, but ultimately fail due to lack of good matchup experience. Not doing ID's constitutes lack of manliness

I was gonna say go to tokyo any way, but I guess you're decided. I guess this means I'm flyin' solo this weekend. Good luck up there man, and pray to god that test is good vs chip and may

And here I just thought he was the mike of JO. Guess he gets to get kicked off the random train.

I'm not saying it's not worth it, but I am saying that using it all the time is not playing to your max potential. On top of that, I tend to fall in the same camp as reaver in that I have a higher impulse to do it if I feel a throw coming and have the tension to go for it. As for the damage at lv1/2, I don't see where you're getting such big numbers, especially with no meter. Post me up some combos so I can get learned too:keke: Lastly, when you say run up and fd break into 6p, are you saying you want to block the dp or 6p the dp :O Also, clashing with VV isn't really a good thing as it takes away your ability to punish him if the sol is smart(or you do that a lot). I bait dp with whiffed normal then block, or sj then block :/ 6p must be too manly for me.

Ogawa doesn't really enter tournies. He won sbo last year and plans to win it again this year it seems, and outside of that I kinda see how random ranbats really matter when you're that good. He's down playing at akihabara's club sega all the time so don't worry. He's still raping just fine.

The problem with 6k is that you just plain shouldn't do it all the time. I remember back when I started playing the game, and at that lvl of play reversal throw is the shit on rims, so like 90% of the time I would just mash on meaty 6h with Jam. This works if your opponent is a retard/cant reversal dp, but in any level of standard play its just going to get you killed, and in the best case take away your momentum. Not that 6k doesn't have it's place, but we get people coming into these forums saying stuff like "The things I like to do meaty are 6k to bait throw, 2k if I'm going low, and 2h/5d to go high. Man my mixup is so carayzeee". People get stuck in that rut trying to imrpove on that style of oki, and thats why they never improve. Really, reversal safe oki is the only way to go in this game, at least until you've established a point that your opponent is confused enough they don't know whats going on. If you run up and 6k right on your first kd, they're going to just block it(if they don't dp you) and then they're going to know that if you're running at them on the ground then you're probly going to throw a 6k(of course you could always manipulate this situation in ways to benefit you, but hos really doesn't have any good grounded ways to bait dps in this situation). It would be much better to try to trick your opponent into trying to throw you then just establishing right off the bat that reversal throw is not an option. I personally thing if you're not charging or doing gb mixups, the only respectable way to lay down oki is with a super meaty js or jd. Jk works too, but has way less block stun so it is less effective. From here you open up all sorts of guessing, as well as put your self in a situation where you can utilize hos's most effective pressure options and basically do what ever guard string you want. Of course, unless you're going for a fuzzy guard, remember to hold back so you block the dragon punches that this method baits. Once your opponent knows they are forced to block your stuff, it's really easy to land and go low, and then once you do that you can throw in late air dashes... ect. Some times it feels like American gear players just plain don't understand the wakeup game that is the heart and soul of this game:vbang: ps: I know I've said this all before, but some how we ended up in the meaty 6k argument again, and I felt it needed reiteration.
-
I stand by my prior statement. Order Sol's manliness speaks for it self, so I feel no need to argue on his behalf.
-
6k is awesome... if your opponent is reversal-less. The best time to use it is the kd after you did something throwable, but really meaty 6k leaves you with very few options if they don't try to throw you, and depending on how late you do it(to mask it) and the matchup, it can potentially lose to some characters' neutral HS.
