You have to understand the time in which the game was made, commands like this made sense then. There are other games from Capcom which utilize this command-- I think Charlie's air flash kick in the Marvel series and Magneto's air fireball in COTA shared the same motion. Get him to register if you can. We need more players discussing VSav and VHun on sites like this more often. I'm pretty sure this site has more of this type of talk than even SRK.

Are you guys battling on GGPO, or XBLA? I remember battling Download Byte before once on XBLA. I'd like to create a room whenever I'm online.

San Diego's thread of meetups every Friday Night at SD Saltmines

... Anyway, I last recall some of you guys being interested in TvC... I'm basically trying to see who all is still interested in playing the game... I've got a setup thus far, I just need an extra converter... I have at least one that works fine... This is obviously one of those "later down the road" events, as I'm sure most of you guys are going to be at SCR. -

...so, what's been happening??? -
You've got to take in account that the team is rather smaller than the usual team. SNK struggled with their netcode, and look how long it took for them to get it right, even though the netcode for the psn games were legit. There's also this standard for most game devs have regarding netcode. They'd rather develop their own rather than "borrowing" from other companies. Regardless, it's rather folly I think to not borrow something that has proven itself time and time again (GGPO). Doing so might be more cost effective than creating netcode from scratch, testing the code, and then correcting any issues. I'm not saying GGPO is the be-all-end-all to netcode issues in 2d fighters. All I'm saying is that it could be a decent way for indie companies to get their game online without having to put themselves under in the process...

Anyone going to Rebel Up tomorrow??? I'll be there. -
Alot of people liked MI2, especially "Regulation A", which kinda returned KOF to its 3v3 roots...

I'll be @ Saltmines this Friday!!!! I'd like to bring my Dreamcast for Last Blade, CvS2, Project Justice, etc, but I only have 1 DC~PS2 converter. Anyone with spare converters, please lemme know... As usual, I'm down for some good ole Battle Fantasia, and am willing to help anyone get into the game... Same with any KOF, VSav, VHun, TTT2, etc... --also-- I'd be interested in getting back into SF4, so anyone wanting to slaughter me in that, feel free... -
JoJo's Bizarre Adventure heading to PSN & XBLA

I still play. I have it on x360. Hit me up. My gt is the same as my forum name. -
So I think the combo should be rewritten like this: Throw > IAD > j.B > j.D > land > quick dash> 5A > 5C > SJC > j.A > j.C (1 hit) > j.D~214D ---> 6610 dmg For the IAD portion, all you need to do is tap 9 then 6 to go straight into IAD. It's not as hard as it seems. It may take a few tries though. You actually have enough time to complete the combo with a delayed IAD. I've tried it awhile ago, and it works. I'll try to record it and share it sometime tonight. EDIT: here it is

@Star-Demon - Hermes has stronger combos... I'll post what I put down some pages ago: Hope that helps out... Had to edit the quote a bit... The combo is meterless, but if you so desire, you can 214BD to add more dmg... This can be done anywhere... I'd try to work with setups involving 22D and/or lightning bit traps...

So if you press HK with say Aulbath, and it whiffs you see the complete animation for that move right? So let's say that s.HK hits a blocking character. There's an extra "pause" time that's added to that move. That period of "pausing" is called hitstop. It's more recognizable in other games like GGXX though. My apologies if the explanation is extremely obtuse. I'm typing this before I start maintenance on my network... #dedication

I wholeheartedly agree with you. I do believe that once SNK hires the people they need, their proverbial "game" will have been stepped up to compete in the 2.5D department. It's obvious that SNK sucks at making 3d fighters, although I personally liked the MI series (give us that regulation A SNK!!!). It could have been spruced up in some areas though, mainly hitboxes.
-
I know TRF isn't true 3d, but it still gave off that 3d feel-- to me at least. You're right about Battle Fantasia though... Is King of Combat 3d??? If so, I think Tencent might have inspired SNK to go 3d, seeing how King of Combat is doing relatively well, and both Terry and Benimaru translated pretty well also.
-
I was hoping you'd say Street Fighter EX, in which you'd be right. As for current gen consoles (X360/PS3), Arcsys was the first to go 3D with Battle Fantasia. SF4 came out some time afterward. Also, I liked Samsho Sen. I felt the game needed only a few changes, mainly inputs should be a bit more "friendly". Doing juggles felt like every move done was just frame after just frame, when all that was done was a simple 6A,B > 5A~236C for instance. Another developer would've been a better choice, but that's for another discussion. Perhaps SNK could make games in the style Sega's "The Rumble Fish" was made with. Dimps developed the game, and I thought it looked decent. Part 2 was even better imo--- it was way more polished...

Which "footstep" are you referring to?

Anyone interested in Battle Fantasia, VSav, VHun, MoTW, I'll be showing up this Friday. I'm also down for some MvC2, Samsho2, and whatever else I have on my xbox. DIO, if you're reading this, let's see that Deathbringer!!! -
Speaking of Bishamon vs Bulleta, what's the ideal range you want to stay in when fighting her???
-
Do you like it so far???

I think I've linked d.lk into cr.lp once or twice. I'll hit up practice mode and see how I did it...
-
cr.lk is a better tick throw setup that cr.lp??? What's the specific frame data on that? cr.lk seems a bit slower imo, but yet it's still effective.
