  1. you need more damage.. your reset combined does less then the bnb.. check out trag's recent hulk vids http://www.youtube.com/user/trag13
  2. pui's too godlike at mvc3
  3. hmm there seems to be some sort of relaunch limit to prevent infinites
  4. hmm im having alot of fun with mvc3 training mode
  5. you can do XF outside of combo or during a normal/special move to cancel it (like an RC).. the guard canceling thing is advance guard to XF.. it's probably because it's counted as a special.. it does increased damage regardless.. and you can use it just to get more damage out of supers and crap.. damage/duration goes up with less total team health.. it's a pretty cool mechanic because it's useful to all the characters.. i can see it being used for life gain and chip damage in runaway teams... or just for huge damage with supers
  6. fake outs are hard to use properly.. you will use them in due time.. it's a bit of a double edged sword.. some people will just do whatever/mash and hit you out of it.... some people will predict them and just punish you for spamming it.... it's not critical but some matchups such as haku, lambda, hazama at high levels will be heavily swayed by how well you can make of your fakeouts....
  7. ggs in ranbats today.. i dunno how your gonna track point titles and when's the next one.. but just some thoughts.. i think the double elim bracket kinda defeats the purpose of ranbats.. letting people who normally don't get to play each other much player each other.. now i know we have too many people for singles ranbats.. in japan they usually run 2v2 team ranbats to reduce the time required.. we should rethink this..
  8. I still drop by the pmall arcade here and then when i go to pmall. It's mostly the outdated music games that get play. Sometimes the racing games. People go there after school I guess but thats no different then LG. People go to LG from the surrounding schools too.
  9. The only arcade downtown died thats why there isn't one down there anymore. I used to go to funland before and after taking the greyhound bus since it's right by Eaton centre. The location was okay but it was so badly maintained. Arcades at universities all used to exist too but they've all died. Waterloo cove, then York cove suffered from similar issues. During the summer it is quiet since there are less people in summer school. During holidays it's completely dead and similarly during exams. Pmall arcade will never die and most will never know why. As for other smaller arcades in major malls. STC, fairview, some theatres all had arcades but being in a major mall students hang out there all the time not spending any money. They generally closed when the mall closed. Why they close down i'm not sure but it's probably the rent.
  10. happy chinese new year~ wishing everyone well in school and work

  12. um you sure you linked the right avatar there
  13. TTT2 is probably on nesica since it's namco so it'll prolly start killing the game every where except japan.. it's weird i know to imagine korea without tekken i'm kinda disappointed in Toronto's SF4 community.. how very little hype they have for AE... although it's really picking up in other places.. i guess it was never a problem with the game but the people
  14. secret train some HnK~
  15. Against very solid hakumen players there are two things you have to abuse... and one thing to keep in mind 1. keep running spamming clouds until you get a homing cloud.. time him out of you have to.. bell bug is near useless unless he's pinned to corner.. 2d will get countered for meter.. JD just as you land is okay but it's mostly guessing 2. mix in air throws and ground throws against counters.. in particular after a jump cancelled normals iad air throw can catch jD's and even stuff like forward dashes sometimes. Once you have curse you have to be very smart about what you release. Once he slashes a bug thats quite a bit of valuable time wasted. So keeping that in mind the transition into curse is even more important against hakumen. Going straight into mixups from a combo/mid combo is crucial. If you get curse from a full screen cloud your probably not going to get much unless you manage to corner them. It's not a great matchup. There are times where you can't cash in on curse and your basically looking to time them out.
  16. i don't know if you played the previous version.. we've been playing it a little bit on console and ah3 is quite different from ah1 and a lot of the elements that we loved about it is gone.. right now there is no ah3 community.. mostly a scatter of people all over toronto..
  17. I think your advertisement focus needs to target SRK more. Try and get more of the SF4 community to have a place on TTT and things will pick up. Also there are other smaller communities that are completely left out from there. There's also melty blood sauga guys (http://www.meltybread.com/forums/regional-community/canadian-eh/) and the scatter of new arcana heart guys (http://homingcancel.com/regional/toronto-ah3/).
  18. zzz russell your TTT advertising is kinda annoying
  19. It's basically the same as 2a>2a>6a bug, except it's 2b>2a>6a bug and to do it you need to press 3ba>3a to get the 6a bug. Starting with 2b is different because it has frame advantage on block so if they DP between the hits it should allow you to block on reaction. The issue with 2b is it has short range so you can't do it unless your close enough plus opponents can barrier block you out of range for a second one. 3ba can be used interchangeably with the first hit of 3a>3a mixup. ie. 3ba>214C
  20. Ragna DP: There isn't much you can do about Ragna DP. You can try baiting it on wakeup with C teleports, forward/back dashes but most good Ragna's won't do it on wakeup. They'll wait until you go for 3a>3a pressure to do it and DP in between. You can mix this with 3b(6a tap)>3a to bait this as you can block after 3b. B teleport setups are usually your best option if done right as they will have to react and DP the other side. Tager IB>720: Yeah during curse it's dangerous to recklessly pressure them with 3a>3a as you can get mashed out here. Don't get predictable and use it sparingly. Ideally you want to have them just blocking bugs in the corner and just react to how they're blocking and go for jC/low. They'll usually rather block high then low because it's more rewarding, once they do that you can mix in 2c's but it's dangerous on block even on curse so have meter on hand if possible. Mix in 236B invis in corner. Tager 2C: Yeah 2C/5a/2a will poke you out of a lot of IAD pressure things with j6a and iad jBs if they do it early enough. Outside of curse you need to mix in iad back>land 2d/jump away cloud/risky jD but in general keep distance or poke at them cautiously until curse. Once in curse 2C will be too slow to interrupt any JC setups if done properly. Bang 2D: This is a nightmare for most Arakunes. You must hit them low to condition them to not spam them. Start pressure with 2a, never just throw a 6a at them. They will tend to use it when you 2D them with spit to go in front of you and hit you. Use it as anti air to JB hoping you don't have a double jump to cancel. To punish Arakune from spamming 6a>5D by 2d'ing on reaction. You need to space your own 2D and never fire 2 in a row. Mix JB with land>throw or jC whiff cancels. Mix 6a>2b in but in general use 6a sparingly against bang.
  21. yeah the last time they said we wont' be disappointed we got guilty gear DS and guilty gear overture =(
  22. getty's open around 4:30... i'll be there for BB today since the sf4 lineups will be long
  23. i think there's an AV adapter already in sf4 from before.. they have two of those boxes I think.. if not we would have to rewire it but it shouldn't be that big of a deal since i doubt we'll be recording any BB for some time
  24. lol i guess count me in for ranbats... picking up all these news games lately... practicing AH3, vampire savior, sf4, tekken, and gg.. my break from blazblue
  25. getting into a position to pressure them depends on how you get into curse.. a few common scenarios: 1)something>5a>6b>j6d into curse -follow with j6a(AB bug>CD bug).. will catch back rolls and put them in block if they neutral tech 2)some combo ending in jC>jD into curse -while falling do 6c bug 4a bug 5d bug land... going straight into pressure allowing you to go straight for a JC crossup, or a B teleport mixup, etc etc or just get up 3a>3a them -in corner 6cd bug, 5a bug 3)random cloud -6ab bug>6cd bug>screen edge teleport 5ab bug> into 3a>3a pressure -try and have them block them in the air on the way down so they fall into the CD bugs precurse to curse transition is important because it maximizes your mixup attempts..
