  1. Awesome Valetine man!
  2. If you do his whatever>Rekkas explosion finish you can still land 3 dp+As. The max is 3 no more. Anyway I just tested Kyo out and you can still land 3 dp+As regardless of whether or not you do the explosion finish. So you can end his rekkas with the kick and still juggle. Pretty much you can land 3 dp+As off any launcher he has save for his HCB+B. HCB+B I was only able to land two.
  3. 2. ???>VV! This is Axl:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NfII_YDoUDQ Sorry Shoto( I really like the song!) and DW. It had to be done. This shows you Axl's strats. Study or die. -Faultless defense kills your pressure AND his. So if you find yourself being pressured.. FD! -Axl has more range than Sol(obviously). -If case you didn't know Axl's chains are part of his hitbox so you can VV 5P and j.S and 2P. -His 3P is VV bait. Especially if he uses it for oki. -Fear his damage output. Axl is at least just as strong as Sol if not stronger. That means he too has damaging combos that can take half life. -Always, ALWAYS believe Axl is charging. ALL THE TIME. I don't care if you are a FULL SCREEN away he IS charging. He jumps in... by the time you can even think the word "jump" he is CHARGING. -What is he charging? Rensengeki. What's that? Axl's 3-hit projectile. What's the big deal? Rensengeki does 3 HITS. That stuffs every move you have on the ground. So no Gunflame. Unless you can FRC it AND on reaction block rensengeki don't do it. Rensengeki will KILL Gunflame and you'll get hit. Is that all? No. Axl can FRC Rensengeki and go into a big damaging combo(for me I fear Axl's damage more than his range). -If you block a 5P or 2P be very careful. As before believe Axl is ALWAYS charging(I don't care if they tell you they aren't they are). That means if you block his 5P/2P and begin to move Axl will have his rensengeki ready for you. -Axl's unblockable... looks like some blue orb. A common reflex to this is to jump up/foward. Axl can feint his unblockable. Think of it akin to Gunflame feint but with far more chaotic results if you fall for it. Wait to see if it moves foward. If it moves foward IAD in to punish. Remember: make sure it moves foward cuz if you react too early a combo might just be waiting for you. If he feints it, remember: he is charging! ALWAYS. No matter what. Like Slayer buffering DoT. It's that serious. -Axl's 5P/2P/j.S all have a vacuum effect that pulls you in. VV can beat them. -TK Axl Bomber can be beaten with either VV or 5K. I'll opt for 5K more since you can get a Sidewinder combo in without using tension. Remember: Axl Bomber is a lvl.6 move like Sol's Fafnir. That puts you in a lot of blockstun. I know I'm forgetting a few things. I'll do some practicing and post up later.
  4. For instance....? I-no will try to cover her advancement with Notes and HCL. I know VV stuffs all her aerial moves. VV is used to beat her CL's and her dives and her j.D. Outside of that the timing can be strict and risky.
  5. VV is a mixup???? I swear people are giving VV way too much credit.
  6. -FD break when you run in if she does a note especially if she does a FRCed note. -AA her depends on what she does. In a sense you have to bait her. 5K is good but it loses to her dives. That's where VV comes in. VV beats all of her aerials moves(VCL, air OD). -Grand Viper beats her ground OD so if you see it coming (on the ground) GV. In the air, FD. -The normals you should use are 5K/2k/5S/2S/5P/2P -Her mixup is way better than your's. FRC on the ground throw, wallbounce on the air throw, her dives are overheads. Pressure from Notes FRC and CL FRC. -She can be thrown from all of her dives. The match up isn't easy on either sides.
  7. This fight is straight nonsense. He may be slow but damn he is overpowered. A imporatnt fatcor in this fight is your reaction time. Why? -Pot buster setups Seriously..EVERYTHING leads to Potemkin Buster. I don't care if FAB came and told you what doesn't lead to Potemkin Buster he is lying! Always expect a Pot Buster. G. Blood can tell you that's not true. I don't care. Always believe a Pot Buster can happen. He blocks you? Pot Buster. You block him? Pot buster. Jump in? Pot Buster. Your only tool against it is 2P. -HammerFall can be punished on block. 2K>5HS>Grand Viper or if you can't do that go for a KD with Bandit Revolver which with meter RC into Sidewinder combos. -FB Judge Gauntlet and Hammer Fall can be thrown. -Potemkin can't use 6HS against Sol unless it's a meaty leaving you only option a reversal VV. -Grand Viper beats his backdash and Hammerfall. -Don't use Gunflame unless you FRC it. Between the flick and Slidehead...you get the picture. -You CANNOT beat Potemkin's pokes upclose. ASW thought it would be a FANTASTIC idea to give Potemkin's (certain)normals insane high priority(thank you ASW for that). Your only options are A)Block or B) VV... and your reaction timing with VV is extremely hard. -If you ever jump in you better be able to pull of a VV easy to stuff his AA attacks. -You IAD in... if he tries to AA you VV. -Bandit Bringer/Revolver equal DEATH. Only use Revolver in combos NOT a block string. Why? Potemkin Buster. I don't care if the Pot you play can't do it, BELIEVE he can. -You're gonna have to try to bait him. -Nearly all your normals lose to Potemkin Buster, 2P is the only thing that can stop that. Damn Potemkins..... As if they even have something to complain about in this fight. I swear this fight is like 6-4 Pot's favor.
  8. That's pretty nice. Is that Izuna from Overture?
  9. I'd say the only way is for them to fight DI mode vs DT mode.
  10. Training for FR? Needs more Grand Viper.
  11. Why didn't you post your vids Nives? You have a solid Sol. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q9CSHMU61U4 (Sol vs Anji) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RTHC1_V-nP4 (Sol vs Order-Sol) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SRWySsavsUA (Sol vs Ky-1) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0JQ5RW8xdFw (Sol vs Ky-2)
  12. I could understand the Tyrant Rave followup but fafnir???
  13. HolyOrderChipp wanted to know if he can pressure from that and I told him he can't. What you posted is exactly what a blocked fafnir leads to> waiting to see what your opponent does. As such in HolyOrderChipp's case, he can't continue pressure. Its almost like landing a non CH 5HS max range just with less (offensive/rushdown)options. Active for 17 FRAMES? You sure? 17?! What pokes do you use Fafnir to beat? Most pokes beat Fafnir clean. As for jumping out..from personal experience and watching US/JAP Sol players use fafnir when an opponent jumps..with an 11F startup, won't the entire cast be able to block by the time Fafnir becomes active? I have landed a few mostly because my opponents expect me to attack low so yeah it works. Still wouldn't advise using it... my opinion really. That's just how I feel about it. Even with success.
  14. +7 for what? Sol can't do crap unless its a CH or clean. So what now? Stop using it. And you will ALWAYS be too far away to do anything. It puts the opponent in long blockstun. That's great seeing as how Sol's mixup is so lacking, on block accomplishes so much<sarcasm>. It could be neutral on block and you'll be in the same situation. Originally I thought maybe Sol had the speed boost and clean hit added to fafnir to function as some sort of midrange attack but no..fafnir has NO PRIORITY AT ALL. It can only beat/punish moves that have long startups(Potemkin 6HS) or moves that have bad recovery(Johnny's 6HS no mist-cancel on block). The reason fafnir isn't labelled as "worthless" is because on clean or CH Sol can do big damage. Fantastic for a move that has crap priority. You want an overhead attack that you can really utilize in your mixup? Not gonna happen. Sol has and always has been limited to LOW and THROW. You can go for 5D..until your opponent realizes they can hit you out of it with any poke with decent speed(I actually have had success landing a few but hell if I'll advise anyone to use it.)
  15. What's hard about NGBC Kyo? He's easy to pick up. Although I have a harder time using KOF XI Kyo. Guess I'm more used to his pre-KOF XI versions
  16. Ky and Robo-Ky: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nVfB6oFkzvI
  17. Hmmm... I wonder if Rock It is active long enough to punish? I know when I use Sol and a Potemkin Back dashes trying to bait me, I Grand Viper to punish. Rock It covers a lot of distance. And Potemkin's FB( I assume the ground one) can be thrown. You should FD brake and use some empty jump ins.
  18. I refuse to use 6K against Pot. If I want to beat his his PB I go for 2P.
  19. Honnou: In vids I saw of your I-no why did you opt for ending combos with tk HS-Dive instead of HCL?
  20. I loled at people actually blocking his cr.D>Submarine Screw guardbreak manuver. Seriously. You can poke him right out of it.
  21. No... NGBC K' sucks.
  22. You have a pretty nice Venom sh1Nd. I like your mixups.
  23. Well I was really caught off guard. I've noticed that Soldat nearly always does his projectile after a KD which oddly I can counter with Akatsuki's 6C if timed right. I've gotten better. I just need to get in some match experience. Hopefully the arcade version gets a PS2 release since my laptop can't read CD format. I really wanted to play Sai and Kanae too.
  24. If your 2D gets blocked your only options are specials and RC neither of which no one would highly recommend you to do. The only thing I can say try not to use 2D too much. Becoming dependant on any certain move too much makes you predictable and overall reduces how effective the move can be. 5K...is a good normal. You should mix that up with 2K and 2P and 2/5S. Again try not to use it too much. No one can tell you how much to use it since only experience through battle can teach you.
  25. Surprise buttsex?:8/: People want buttsex like THAT? One things for sure...he'll give you a pounding like no other.
