  1. Okay there's only one real problem I'm havingg with Order-Sol's combos and that's the IAD combos. How exactly do I connect the IAD j.P? I just want to know exactly what you input because I've been doing LM Akira's RI lvl2 combo and I can't land the IAD j.P. Here's what I did: 5K,5S,2S,RI lvl2,5S,jc,66,j.P. What am I doing wrong?
  2. Yay, I beat my first Potemkin player yesterday. Using all that 6HS Slide Head nonsense. It felt so good cuz I hate grapplers so much. Anyway, I was defeated by a Sol player. I have never seen Sol played like that before. This guy, his style revolved around 2D GF and 2S Frame traps for a Wild Throw setup. So.. -How do I deal with a Sol's 2D(I notice he'll do it whenever I try to run in, FDB?)? f.S without meter? Or 2HS? -How to deal with Sol when he has you cornered? -Beating 2S frame traps?

  4. Thanks. I was tired of blowing 50% tension just for a couple more hits. But damn, I'll have wait to get home to try it out..... which will be about after 10pm! Damn evening college courses!
  5. FRCs are RCs just at a specific point. The timing(I use) is the blue flash. Since the FRC functions like a RC, If you perform a FRC and press nothing you will be at neutral. You can do whatever after you want FRC like for Slayer 6H FRC Mappa or Dandy Step. IMO frame data didn't help me because I have no means to "count" frames of animation in my quest to master FRCs. Frame data gives valuable info on all of the characters moves which is most needed. RCs and FRCs are instant. The frame data lists WHEN you perform the input for the FRC. If you FRC at the 17F there will be no 18F animation. IIRC the FRC point on Slayers 6HS is when his heel is near his face. If you FRC at the right point the attack will stop thus there is no 18F of animation in this case (as you thought) the 6HS will not hit. RC/FRC puts characters at neutral which allows them to do whatever afterwards. Since RCs are instant you can do Mappa RC Mappa(not recommended). RCs REMOVE ALL RECOVERY but note they do not remove blockstun.
  6. I thought the only way to combo after 2H on NH was to RC like I've seen in Kaqn's matches. Here's the vid: http://youtube.com/watch?v=RzTFD985dB8 The combo starts at 32 secs. I take it this is where you got the combo from? More importantly how can HOS even connect 5K after 2HS when the player didn't even RC the 2HS? I just tried it on Eddie and Venom and I got a no go. I can't land 5K after 2HS. I tried it with the CPU set on standing and crouching.
  7. First of all if the last hit(Tyrant Rave) kills the opponent the IK occurs. People call it HOS's IK because of that. The point of the move IMO isn't to IK whoever, its to deal massive damage by expending all of HOS's resources. Points to consider: -HOS combos into DI. -No one else combos into their IK. -Even if HOS whiffs the DI activation he still keeps his tension guage. Personally even though it's a major improvement over the / version I still keep away from it because I feel it limits me too much. And please next time read the threads. There is enough discussion on HOS's DI without having to start another thread for it.(General discussion).
  8. A 20 hit combo??? Dragon Install will never connect. The pushback would be too great and it will miss. DI itself is only 9 hits, where are you gonna get the other 11 hits? There might be some combo into 5HS IAD j.P but why would you try to make things harder for yourself? Plus if somehow you managed to do a 20 hit combo with Dragon Install from all hits before it, the damage from Dragon Install would decrease thanks to the guard guage. Just keep it simple like 2S>5HS or 5S>5HS. Jump in with j.HS>5S>5HS>DI. You'll still get big damage.
  9. Umm... Slayer can be thrown from BBU? Didn't know that was possible but then again HOS can be thrown from Fafnir....
  10. Wassup Pyro. I'm still learning I-no myself. @ A.B.A-can-do: Meglomania is Boss/EX I-no only. And IIRC Boss/EX meglomania cannot be comboed together like I-no's Ultimate fortissimo(air OD). -An I-no FRC question: Should I bother to learn I-no's sultry Performance HS version FRC? I've never seen anyone ever use it and the only potenial I see in it is possibly a crossup tool?

It's critical to learn FRCs. 1.Gives mixup/pressure. 2.Can lead into damage. 3.Can start/continue combos. 4.Can remove the chances of you being punished for using [insert move] Learn the ones that are important and critical to your character's playstyle. Learn your character first then worry about whoever else. IT CAN SAVE YOUR LIFE.
  12. IIRC in all installments of the XX series EX characters can be unlocked via time-release. However I never got all the special illustrations.

  14. IIRC Stages are the last thing to come and they come about 1 per hour I think. Don't forget to turn auto-save.

  16. Nice work people. Do you think someone could post up a gatling guide for Johnny? And what normals combo into Mist Finer lvl1? Some good block strings would be good as well. Someone needs to make a update for AC Johnny. This way new players can see what they need to learn and have a visual aid.
  17. Okay I can tech pretty well but in here lies the problem: I have no idea on how to maximize the use of teching. Let me give you an example: vs Johnny. I tech as soon as I can which results in me being airthrown. Another is vs Eddie. Once again I tech too damn early which in turn finds a huge claw up my ass. Now how does one use tech when they can? When should I just not tech? Hell once after Slayer did "The Rest" I teched and as I was about to land he did 2S jc into "the rest". Teching advice needed.
  18. Thanks Reaver. I didn't know that. Alright for jump ins all I've been hearing is j.HS but that gets countered so easily by the CPU so I started doing j.K for jumpins instead and I haven't been getting countered as much. I mean I have been having a higher success rate with j.K than j.HS and you can combo after it.
  19. Nice! I haven't been using 6K AT ALL. A fellow HOS player told me it was good. Thanks for this info. Question: Titanium Beast said that BHB is good for frame traps. What I have been doing is blocked strings into CC or lvl.1 BHB. Got anything to maximize the use of BHB in strings?

  22. Umm... I'm having some trouble following up after j.HS CH on Dizzy. I tried 2S jc j.K j2K and then I can't continue. I tried BBU, it hit but I couldn't follow up accordingly. So my question is how do I perform the j2K air combo on Dizzy? Her weight is throwing me off.
  23. Hey I got some love for I-no. I used to hate her but she's the only female I had fun playing seeing how I earlier decided on ABA but she was no fun. And I asked a simple question: How does I-no fare against Testament but low and behold NONE of the experienced I-no players helped me out. Plus all combos listed is comboed into HCL or VCL FRC which in turn gave me nothing else to work with. Which sucks if you're new to her. I mean I'm not gonna play her in tournies but I would like some combos for her. So thanks LM Akira. Now I have something esle to do besides random notes and 5S>6P>5HS HCL FRC. Much help.
  24. Poor English? I've heard far worse. Back on topic: Okay Ill take what you both said and Ill have try it out. Robo-Ky is one of my hardest fights. And tips on Baiken would be necessary for me too. I tend to throw her alot. Tips against Johnny?
  25. I am having alot of trouble with Robo-Ky. Here's what happened: Training mode vs Cpu I(Sol) fought against Robo-Ky and having absolutely no Robo-Ky experience didn't know what to do. SO Robo-Ky gains 100% tension. And here's what happened. First he did his OD with the timer. Then he combos into the million punch OD mashes like a bitch. And I mean like a bitch. Beat counter goes over 40 THEN the timer goes off and BAM! 64 hit combo. Mother fucker took out 70% of my life. I was like:vbang: :vbang: HE MUST BE DESTROYED! Tips?
