Star, what you need is good offline matches, and A LOT OF PATIENCE. Our mental strength plays a great part in how well we perform any task or compete in any way. I am not saying to be patient in gameplay, i mean, be patient with your own ups and downs, and your own pace. And anyone who tells you to get better or drop the game can go f- themselves. Everyone progresses at a certain rate, and the best offline scenes focus on improving each of it's members, because any community is only as good as it's members are. Strong communities breed strong players. What you need to do now to improve is to just take the game more lightly. Keep practicing your combos and setups, watch your japanese GG idols play and try to play the game to play the game. You have nothing to prove to anyone. If you can clear your mind out of all this extra thinking when you play, i am sure you will find yourself noticing a million new things during a match. Like your opponent's patterns, telegraphed moves that you know how to beat, and even think of some improvised mixups and combos on the fly. ..and just stop playing online. Seriously. And if you DO play online for lulz, don't let it affect your mental strength.

I can see a lot of similarity between millia and litchi in how they focus on forced Okizeme and very tough mixups. Disk Oki is very similar to how litchi throws out her staff at you on wakeup and then proceeds to make you block 2 overheads and 3 lows in a random order. -

Actually in Ontario it's totally different, unless the rules have changed since they were explained to me. Just passing the exam allows you to ride alone, but you can't get on a highway and you can't drive passed a certain hour, when it gets dark. You guys got it gud. But Ontario charges INSANE amounts of insurance on motorcyclists, in contrast to Quebec, where it's the government's registration that can cost over 1k per year. -
Thank you for pointing that out ! I will fix my post accordingly. Sorry about that !

My bike has finally been repaired. I feel whole again. TAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!~ -
As expected, still seems quite fair to me. Also i know we don't have footage of it yet, but EXPECT the new DD to lose hard to any reversal at all. air infernal divider, air origins, air laser super, air calamity sword, and if it's the ground grab version then it will be just about any reversal that can beat it, and even casually holding up after Bang's super flash will make it whiff.

You won't be disappointed DC! what games do you play?
-
Actually, that's probably just full invincibility, like quite a few distortions. Hard to say if the invincibility ends after the super flash or if it continues until active, though.

Pedro, could you squeeze "MAD" into the MAD thread title somewhere? just so people who only know it by the acronym notice it if they glance through events section. (or U MAD if that is the intended new title for our tourny?) -

I can offer rides too. We're going to make sure this is easy for whoever is coming. Also there are many hotels a few blocks from the venue. We had discussed this last year i think. It might be a good idea to dig up some of those places and put them on the MAD first post. Let's make a point to ask Jin if he can really score us some prices for the hotel he knows for that weekend. -
5D air counter hit nets a midscreen wall bounce that looks like it can be picked up. This feels so weird for some reason. I wouldn't be surprised if this led to a 4 seal combo, considering their new combo system. having a D starter like that will probably make it possible. EDIT: I love the new Dnails so much. So much more room for creativity. Rising DNails airdash (2369D 66) might even allow you to cross up opponent before theyre done blocking, allowing some guilty gear style projectile crossups.

also Grab midscreen canceled into bumper summons and continue comboing like in CS1. There were some really cool midscreen grab combos that setup bumpers and used them. We'll see if they make a return.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HngOveCbPk8&feature=player_detailpage#t=1524s since throw SEEMS to be special cancellable (and not strictly airdash cancellable like in extend) it probably means we can combo grab into astral near corner again like in CS1

There are tons of people in New York and New Jersey for you to play online with, and have a decent connection ! I can't imagine trying to improve in a match with THAT much latency. -

Against Potemkin, be careful how you jump at him, be patient. The potemkin you fought wasn't trying it, but usually, you will get your tatami's flicked everytime and this is VERY dangerous. I noticed you used a lot of meter comboing into overdrive. This is kind of a waste, comboing into your overdrive reduces overall damage, costs 50% meter and doesnt even get you knockdown. Against Potemkin you safely use your anti airs if he jumps at you, if he is on the ground, you can fish with 2D as well. Using j.D at neutral right off the ground is also a good way to keep Potemkin at bay, and if you get a knockdown, go in for mixup. Be careful of his backdash, if you notice a pattern with the backdash you can meaty with 5P and after it whiffs you can try a 6K to try and catch the end of his backdash, or a j.D to make to stay safe from the pot buster that is sure to come afterwards. If you hit with a 5f.S, try to combo into j.D to get knockdown. This is very important against potemkin, and even combos into airdash tatami if you are willing to FRC the j.D. Hope that helps you out! -

I'm thinking maybe more like a jump cancel, cancel into overdrive. Like the 6D -> gold burst that we witnessed in CS2
