I wanted to share my personal trick for this. The Baiken guide has some extremely good tips that go into great detail on how to do a lowest tatami in an airdash from the ground (if that is what you are going for). The only thing i can add to it is that it helps tremendously if you do 2369 and then purposefully let the stick go back to a 5 neutral position, then tap 6 and K. I notice that if i dont let the stick go back to 5 after 2369 it just doesnt come out right. The reason is a combination of avoiding extra unnecessary inputs that don't belong in the motion as well as creating the necessary delay before hitting 6 and K.

The one i got for you was a beer by a brewery called Unibroue, and the name of the beer was Trois-Pistoles. I think Lord Knight also liked it quite a bit. There is also Don de Dieu that is delicious, and many others by Unibroue worth trying. http://www.thebeerstore.ca/beers/unibroue-trois-pistoles Sleeman is in charge of Unibroue stuffs now, which should make it more accessible. Edit: Come and press buttons with us again and i'll definitely buy you another ! -
This is a marvelous idea ! I can't wait to see how it pans out. I imagine a really good pressure reset will be to do a blockstring into suzuran-> sakura FRC to keep pressure on strong instead of using Kabari sometimes. And if it works, then can switch up with mawarikomi or just grab. That anti air guard cancel looks to be almost too good of a deterrent for anyone to attack from the air. I wonder how it will compare to 6P counter hit. Edit: this doesnt have the actual hit box, but it should give you an idea about what you are asking. taken from dustloop wiki Also i feel i should mention there is no guarantee that the command version in plus R will be the same. Expect different startup/recovery and maybe even different hitbox.

Bellevar, there is no way for any of us to know about that more then you do at this point. But remember air tatami and ground tatami are different moves, with different FRC timings and different properties. Just because ground tatami is 2 hits doesn't mean it WILL be air tatami as well, but it COULD end up that way. Eitherway, it's just a location test.

I dont like the design of the Hayabusa joystick. It looks like the moving parts are going to wear out really fast.

give it 1 week of practice and youll be getting the mid screen combo without too much trouble ! -
my mind... it is blown !!!! Absolutely must try this... Ironic that you mention this as it is something im experimenting with a lot recently. I am trying to figure how safely you can dash in after the latest possible 6K on okizeme. It should be a +10 situation, but i wonder if its enough time to microdash 2K. It's perfect for doing a 9frame TK youzansen though !! Which i am most excited to try out in real FITES ! Perhaps instead of dashing 2K i should use 2D to make it a really good 50/50 between 2D and TK Youzansen? The only problem is how much proration 2D has as a starter. In your opinion, would you use tension on a 2D started combo?

^^^ this is the best advice. It might not look like it, but its definitely a 96 that you have to input. Also if i might add, make sure you try to input the 96 during the hitstop. You can go "too fast"; if you hit 9 before the hitstop, you will get nothing at all. -
Thanks for all the extra info ! i guess ending in knockdown is a good alternative if i feel like i wont make the sj. P. The next combo will definitely have meter ! Thanks Hellmonkey ! It will take some practice but the previous ideas of simply going for a reset on the ground is another great idea; tick throws, or dust, thanks for pointing out those options. Also that 6 P+HS option select is really awesome... I'm using this now, and im much less afraid to attempt grabs because of it !!

we ought to answer NeoRussel before his post gets lost in pages gone by. Russel, i dont think i for one will be going to Toryuken. I do plan to come to toronto for future blazblue majors, though ! Just not this one. To MTL: i might be persuaded differently if there is a strong demand to go. -
Thanks a lot Hellmonkey !!! A lot of those combos are starting to work for me and more importantly im starting to understand how/why they work !! Im sure ill be able to apply this to a lot of abare situations with practice !! Especially the IAD j.D fastfall, its really incredible, and i had no idea about it !! I have a new question to add about meterless-ness. Suppose you are midscreen and you do not have meter and you've hit them with a 2K, c.5S. Also suppose you are fighting a VERY light opponent like May and dont trust a super jump P,S,D for knockdown.. Or worse, you are fighting Baiken and have no chance of landing a sj.P after tatami. What is a good strategy?? Would it be wise to condition an opponent to always mash tech in this situation and try to air grab them? Perhaps after grabbing them a few times it would force them to late tech, which would allow you to sj.P ?? Also i dont quite know how to grab someone as they tech yet, i dont get to practice it that much either. Any advice ?

thanks for the info, Jimmy ! -
You are a wealth of knowledge sir !! I have problems with this, just as you mention. I often airdash to do j.S, j.D mid corner combo but the slash won't come out because i press it too early. I would like to practice using "5H, Tatami, IAD, j.D" but im not sure where exactly and what part needs to be repeated. May i be so bold as to request an example combo? i realize its always different and it's got lots of variables, but just an example to get an idea, please? This seems really important because its one of my biggest obstacles, so if there is a really good combo to keep trying to help me learn to dash properly i am very excited to start practicing it ! Also for using j.P, j.D to fast fall, is this something i am already doing but don't realize it? or something new that i might have missed? Does it mean using j.P, j.D instead of j.S, j.D at the end of a combo in order to get the last hits in? I notice sometimes "airdash, j.S (, j.D)" the j.S is too late and the j.D won't connect. I really appreciate the time you take to answer this stuff !

Italian spicy sausages from Metro or IGA. Cut them in half, clean the skin off completely and fry it. Even better if you eat with Pita bread.
