KoF XIII looks really fun. Never played one before, but I've played classic Fatal Fury so i'm definitely using Terry, probably his brother as well cause I like what he looks like. Personally, I change my style based on the character I'm fighting. Although, generally, I like to set up a few rods across the screen for area denial before trying to summon pumpkin (preferably with George out to cover me) but like you said Tempest, CS1 has done horrible things to my mindset when playing Rachel. After that, I can go on the offensive. But don't listen to me, I'm terrible at this game Also, thanks Jason for the tip. That trick seems silly as hell; as if Rachel needed any better mixup XD.

Try to bait swords, once you see her whiff one, that's your cue to wind in there and try to stay there as long as possible; 4dd is also a good opportunity to close the gap. Also, if a Lambda tries to summon full screen spike chaser, you can probably summon pumpkin on reaction, which makes rushing her down pretty easy. Tempest Dahlia works really well to get you in if you feel the meter is worth it. Finally, rod placement is really important as well, if you get one close to her or on Lambda, you can make her much more afraid to push buttons, guaranteed pole placement helps with this a lot.
