Hey, for any weird reason. Have anybody tries this on corner? 5C Blocked by the opp, Gear Super, Rapid Cancel, Dash, 6C Full Charge. I saw this in a match and frankly seem very legit. Maybe can be good doing this, if the rival doesn't have too many health.

Because now with the stronger bounce when 2]D[ hit, in that mixup is just better use Vivance B. Also it give you plenty time to hit with a 5C or j2.C~Allecancel or even just j2.C.

You know what? im starting to think that you are using IAD j2.C Alle~Cancel in the wrong way. If the rival is not afraid of that move, because he think that he can escape or beat it. Then, just change the situation when you do IAD j2.C Alle~Cancel. For example, when you put the opponent in CoN, you can do this for IAD j.2C~Allecancel: - 2B, 5B, Volante, 7j2.C Alle~Cancel. - 5B, 2B, 5C, delay a little, 6]D[, j2.C Alle~Cancel. - 5A, 2B, 5B, 6]D[. j2.C Alle~Cancel. - 2B, 5B, 2]D[, j2.C Alle~Cancel, Vivance B. ( This is actually one of my favorites) Is kinda hard to explain this setups with just the notation. The objective is that you manage to time the Nirvana moves in a way that when they touch the opp, you are already hitting with j2.C~Allecancel. Also, if you just delay a little bit the moves from Nirvana and if the rival want to mach out or use a good AA, it will get in CH state thank of the Nirvana attack.

Lol... why worrier so much against Lichi DP? that DP is so easy to punish. When you bait that move, you just only need to do 6B and whoala!, that bitch now is in CH state and you can get a free 5K-6K combo with j2.C~Allecancel, volante and 4 ]D[ combo. When you knock her down, just throw 3]D[ or Volante and alternate whit a Barrier Jump or jump attack. If she throw a DP, just land a use 6B. What you really have to worried about her, is her oki. Her oki is pretty good, once she pin you, you just can´t escape easily. Vivance will beaten easily from almost any Lichi staff or staffless normal. Keep in mind, that IAD j2.C~Allecancel don't bait her DP, so if you do that and the China bitch throw DP, her DP will win. Also, focus on the issue that Lichi have the faster jump in the game with 3 Frame. That mean, when she find a gap is very probably that she will jump, so use a lot Brio or 8]D[. In this match-up, Rocket Jump will be very usefull to try to pin her. If you manage to get her in CoN when she is staffless, you will win. In that situation, even normals UB like 6B+2]D[ will work amazingly well.

Sometimes j2.C beat w.5B that is the reason why i recommend that you do what you think is best upon the situation. How to do a Stealth, Muted or Ninja Volante: - 421]D[, 44. - 421]D[ + 5A - (Air) 421]D[ + j.A

Let see, this match for Valk will end if you manage to get him between Carl and Nirvana. Doing the Unblockable loop against Valk is way too easy, also with one or 2 reset you can kill him. Knowing that you should always be patient and take a deep breath when he is just running away like a bitch. His regular normal are okay, but his wolf normals will beat anything that you got. Sometimes j2.C will beat his wolf normals, but is not guarantee, so i recommend that you do what you think is best upon the situation. Also 6A can be very usefull if he jump at you, and if you think that 6A will loose, then just Vivance out. Volante will be a good friend, and if you can, use muted Volante. That way Valk will be always worrying about something and not watch whe you go for a simple empy jump, (land), 2A. 8]D[, Brio are going to be your best tool to catch him. Also watch out from Valk 6A, that move can beat your IAD j2.C~Allecancel. Keep in mind that some times a Valk player will mash that move. When you block 6C, dont try to mash anything, that overhead is +2 on Block. The only way to punish it, is if you manage to instant block that.

Hey, is not that i think that the game is stupid. Just, i don´t like if i manage to bait a Goldburst i can´t punish it.... I always believed that, when you manage to bait the opp, you should get rewarded for that.

Any tip in this matchup? im starting to get very annoyed with the fact that she can mash button all the time. The only thing that i know, Volante is excellent for DP bait. If you use Volante and block her DP, Volante will beat her DP. Also, i know that in this match is essential to throw Volante and stealth Volante. When i try to cach her, i use rocket jump... but hers normal are good. Sometimes i just don´t understand this game, after baiting two DP from her i baited his Gold burst on the ground.... and the bitch was maching 2A and beat my attack! HOW THE FUCK IS THAT POSSIBLE IF I BLOCKED HER FUCKING GOLD BURST! Also, if anyone know good Carl vs MU jap matchup vid. I can´t find any of these.

My friend, now i noticed why your setup isn't good after one UB. When you do UB, [5A,2A]x2 you don´t use a move that force standing on your opponent. This mean if the rival just keep holding 3 after the UB, you will not be able to do the UB loop. Doing [5A,2A]x2 is just recommendable for specific chars like Noel, that way you can do another UB. But only! if you hitconfirm that she or he is still on standing position. I forgoted that one of the requiriment to do the UB loop, is being able to force stand the opponent. This mean that you always must connect at least one 623C (Cantabile) with Rapid Cancel or a 6C.

I don´t think that is so easy hit Nirvana. In Ragna case 4]D[ beat all Ragna moves. Indeed our normals have bad hitboxes, but 2B with dash cancel is pretty decent for poking and because of his hitbox, can hit under a lot of other moves. Ours 5C and 2B do a fairly decent job of pokking the rival, but the most important thing in ours normals is, that from any A or B we can go directly to CoN or pressure. Also, if the rival keep hitting Nirvana you can do: - Alle~dashing - 5C, 2B or sometimes 623C - Rhapsody of Melodies or Gear Super if you are close enough. - And this, one of my favorites option: Rocket Jump. If he start to hit Nirvana just Rocket Jump at them to put you in CoN position. If you learned the UB loop i asure you that the rival will not hit Nirvana for free because he will more focused on avoid Carl. -

Mmmm... A+ indeed, one only need to check the last two big BB tourneys in Japan to understand why we are saying that about Carl. But im starting to feel that because now all the big BB tournament have ended, the big Carl player aren´t playing anymore U_U. The sad thing is that, Carl indeed is S+++ but his main problem with that, is the skill level that one need to achieve to get into that level. Just check Kyaku, Ranrero or Ryusee comparison to the other Carl player like Dio, Nishinishi, etc. -

Yeah, but not Carl level. Also Carl is not dumb, he is just sick. Why he isn´t dumb? because to perform his sick tool you need a lot execution level and you CAN´T mash like the S chars in this game (Ragna, Valk). -

10.7K? lol, that is what happen when you have creativity with Carl... I never tried to learn double gold burst combos, because i always feel that is waste of burst >_>. Still, im happy with my 7.3K combo in corner >_<, when i do it, makes me grow beard. -
I always wanted to do a tutorial like this... but i don't have a capture video card. I think that what you did it was very good as an introductory lesson about the UB loop. But even so, it miss some valuable points that needed to be update or added like the other setup of the UB loop after the first UB. What im trying to say is, that after the first UB doing [5A,2A]x2 and then for the UB is just not optimal, maybe consume a little less Nirvana gauge but the Dmg is way lower that the other combo that is: j2.C~Allecancel, 2B, 5B, 6B, 6]D[, 6C, 2A, 2B, 5B, 5C, 8]D[, j2.C, j.A, j.A, j.B + 3]D[ With that, you just need 2 UB and a good combo for kill almost any char in the game. Another thing that you forgot to put, is that when you do 5C Nirvana should be desactivate and reactivate for the 8]D[, that way you reset the Nirvana continue consumtion and you are still able to do the UB. They are some chars that is better just doing it always activated like Hazama, Ragna or Arakune, but for the other is way beter desactivate and reacitvate Nirvana. When you do the UB close to the ground is DP safe. For doing this, you only need to do ....5C, j.C whiff, j2.C, etc. And for chars that the UB loop doesn't work, you could do the Universal loop and if you have meter use a Rapid Cancel for doing it again. Dont think that im trying to make look bad your contribution, what you did is very valuable for newcomer and even people like me, that checking the basic fundamentals of the UB loop made me analyze some ideas, like using your [5A,2A]x2 after the first UB because is more easy to hit confirm after ....j2.C, j.A, j.A, j.B+3]D[ + Barrier Block. Keep the good work.

Nop... actually is two unblockables and a full 6K combo. Doing that, will kill 90% of the cast. Only doing one UB and a 5K or 6K combo is almost like 3/4 life metter. -

I was reffering to Japase arcade players PSR, no one care about netplay PSR. Also, having low health doesn't determine if he cant be S class or something like that, if you check the S class in exteded, Ragna and Valk, both of them have low health. And even so, Carl is almost the only char that can kill you with one hit. Carl have been always A tier in CS2 era, in fact he was the first must be A tier. Before the loop, the new oki was very strong and then they added the UB loop that make Carl so strong. I don´t think that it was his darkest era, Cs2 Carl indeed was powerfull with the loop. But even so, he was very very solid. He had great options, amazing mixup and decent dmg. His only problem was Nirvana gauge, but if you know how to do the others loop, you can easily do combos with that and spare Nirvana gauge. I think that the darkest era was CT with the clap trap. -
I don´t recommend doing dash allegreto because Ragna can beat that move and if he block it, we could end losing the match. This! is going to be one of those matches that the only thing you have to do is Block and bait. Just try to play safe, because one mistake you is = Ragna free mash combo that deal 3K or 4K. You have to remember three thing, the first is that at certain distance 2B whiff against Inferno divider, that mean that you can do offensive baits. The other thing that you need to know, is that j.C near the ground is Dp safe. That mean that the UB here is one of our most powerfull tool and! that after a knock down you can use j.C + 3]D[ or other Nirvana move for reset. Last, but no less importan, IAD j2.C bait DP, so that is other offensive type of bait. Sometimes just moving Nirvana and jumping with Barrier Block or just doing Barrier Block can be your best bet! If you manage to hit Ragna you WILL win, because of his low life.

Carl have been always underused because his learning curve. But what amaze me, is that now in BBSEX if you check the Japanese Carls, almost all the well knowed like Kyaku, Ranrero, Nishi Nishi, Ryuseei, Esukee, Mikan yarou, etc have around 800+ PSR. I'm actually starting to think that Carl is A+ or something like that. This is the best version of Carl in my opinion. -
Maybe you could post a vid with this setups, i still can´t imagine how it is. But, if it true, this could really make even the match vs Hakumen and give us more advantage against Bang. Still, why where you using this setup agains LK? if he play Lichi you could just do the UB loop instead >_<. That is so true, if the 6C full charged doesn't manage to charge until level 3, that will not be UB. Said that, im pretty sure that you can release a little bit early and still be full UB.
