  1. if you do a running jump and FDC properly, you will fall down in a more vertical angle, if you screw up, the angle will not be affected at all and you will land normally from the jump (other side of the screen). also, if you run, then jump straight up and FDC, you will fall straight down - no angle to it at all (if you did it right).
  2. i thought there's a respect button and it was right next to HS
  3. you can use the FB for IDs, but i personally think it's a waste of tension. also, about that relaunch combo after ID, did you try that one out yet? i doubt this works against any char, even the heavy ones, simply because if you go for more than a 2hs,FB on an airborne opponent, its almost impossible for the FB to hit.
  4. http://blog.livedoor.jp/roz_to_beni/ ・hikaru(slayer) vs nezu(robo) ・sanma(hos) vs hikaru(slayer)x2 ・takuan(may) vs koba(johnny)x5 mistake on the site: both hos vs. slayer 01 and 02 are the same match.
  5. uuh.. about those 2 videos. the 6k vid: somehow i doubt those setups are useful. first of all, you have to be point blank, then do 6k, it also seems that the setups are rather spacing specific. for the 2nd vid, didn't think those combos were that sick (2nd one was basic, and he even screws up the unblockable in the combo vs. venom, but the AI fails to block it anyway).

placeholder okizeme: - crossup okizeme is highly problematic against axl, because of 2 things: 1. you cannot meaty cross up anyone in guilty gear, so you would need to delay the crossup for at least 1 frame. 2. since you have to delay the crossup, axl has time to do his 1f counter, which has auto turn. he can input it as if it was a fake crossup, and IF you cross him up, he will turn anyway. the result: never mind what you do, left or right, the counter will get you.

  12. placeholder pokes, zoning: - 5k beats eddie's 2s - watch out for that move, good priority and combos into drill for knockdown on CH. - learn to deal with eddie's 2p, he'll use it all the time. 5f startup, gatlings into 2d for knockdown -> summon -> you die.
  13. chipp vs. faust is a somewhat controversial matchup. Players like Elvenshadow consider it a rather good matchup for chipp, whereas chipp players usually consider it a bad matchup. I asked elvenshadow to talk about this matchup a bit, here is what he said: discussion opened. - does anyone have experience with 6p vs. fausts j.2k? i usually get hit out of my 6p if i try this. timing problem?

  15. placeholder zoning, poking: - 5k is very useful against hos, since it's faster than his 2s and has good range. it also tends to beat rockit. - forget about 6p-ing his d.j.HS, you need to use alternate anti airs (if any at all), or go for instant block / air instant block / air throw.

    Jam

placeholder zoning, poking: - if you expect a FB puffball, do not be afraid to jump straight up to wait & see what happens. - if the jam likes to iad. during pressure, you should be able to counter that either by air throwing or by a preemptive j.P into j.D or anything you like. However, if you expect iad.j.623K (her "dragonpunch"), forget about any offensive countermeasures - do not try to air throw, simply block and try to find a way out. - jam has a good, far reaching crossup with j.HS, which leads to 2D & charge. be wary of that move.
