  1. 14 new vids on nico: http://www.nicovideo.jp/mylist/7189997 found on: http://dagakotowaru.blog35.fc2.com/ referenced @ http://gamenyarth.blog67.fc2.com/
  2. http://gvision.exblog.jp/8846032/ 195 mb ranbat, filebank: http://www.filebank.co.jp/guest/gvision/fp/ggxxranbat password "movie" (there are actually 2 files) in the 2nd file, yossan (IN) is playing, so it's worth a download. torrent: http://kedamono.net/download/20080614_ggacranbat.torrent youtube: http://jp.youtube.com/user/gamersvision (just a link to their main account) thx @ http://gamenyarth.blog67.fc2.com/
  3. what i like about shachou is his style. he is unlike every other eddie i've seen, mixup and combo wise. that crossup stuff that he always does and the different standard combos if he hits during an eddie rush are good examples.
  4. i have to say i am surprised - this game seems like a cross of soul calibur and traditional 2d fighers. is the blue flash roman cancel?
  5. a.cho 5v5: file 1: (KY), (BA), B.D.S. (SO), (JO), (AN) vs (VE) file 2: (AB), (ED), shachou (ED), vs Haken (PO), Machaboo (KY), Koichi (with a different name, IN), Isa (ED), Nemo (TE) AB vs. PO is particularly nice, especially the killing blow. first Koichi match is another must see, so are all the shachou matches, DAMN, definitely the 2nd best eddie right after ogawa and right above isa.
  6. bump!
  7. i find it impressive that i am 25 and still had no heart attack playing chipp.
  8. d.s©,hs, 236P, RC, 6HS also, what "gamechariot" 0:06 are you talking about? please provide a link or a full filename for the match.
  9. http://www.youtube.com/user/gamersvision has new ranbats up, dated newer than the newest ones on the blog (as far as i can tell) seminfinal1: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TGU0jWfJqJ8 seminfinal2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YVmQ-dSp8XQ 3rd place: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n6XgxFoS4XI final: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RyntxKCtns4
  10. there's a pretty unknown, secret website out there, but i forgot the name. maybe it was http://www.gamefaqs.com/coinop/arcade/file/928547/40340
  11. lets stop the theory fighter for a moment and focus: i was specifically speaking about left / right oki, and in particular about the superjump FD back hit / FDC front hit oki. sorry if i did not explain myself properly. since this is a rather specific okizeme (the way it works, technicially, makes the timing very rigid), it might not even be possible to do a meaty variant on it on axl, at all. now that's me theory fighting anyway, still beware of the counter when you do crossup oki. even the running neutral jump stuff.
  12. never heard of crossguard as a terminology for the issue, interesting. DW: i have no idea - would this be a crossup meaty that actually hits crossup, then? because, he probably doesn't.
  13. pot vs. aba used to be in aba's favour in slash, just remember how fab got raped at SBO. also, danzai's throw invul really helps in the matchup. i still think it's even, but i haven't played any japanese pots with my scrubby aba. oh, and on a side note - that matchup chart you are using is ANCIENT. better get rid of those numbers in the matchup threads.
  14. true, air dash won't help against VV, but you can simply not do the air dash, land & block as a mixup - although this is dangerous, as it clearly looks like you land too early for the enemy (getting you thrown)
  15. mandu, landing tele should give you double/triple jump, and for the love of GOD, switch recovery on, or you'll never find out if your combos knock down, because beat doesn't go gray in that situation, it looks as if the combo was fine.
  16. tsiisus knowledge of details and matchup specific stuff is unrivaled imo. he knew immediately when stuff i did was unsafe, unlike everyone else, lol. that being said, he was rusty i guess - living in finland is probably not the best place to find lots of competition then again, there are prodigies like lazze...
  17. faust matchup thread now open for business - tell us about your experiences and your educated opinion. in other news, i completed all the clips for my combovid, and hopefully i'll complete the editing soon (although i have no idea how to do that). i started recording everytime i was at xenophobians place once accent core came out, which means i only had limited time and usually improvised stuff when we didn't play any matches. Some of the combos will be mind blowing, but most will look very ordinary to non-chipp players, and probably not that new or clever anymore (too much time passed since release). to spice things up, i'll add some clips from bad ninja movies in between the combos ATG - Exploiting the East - Coming soon.
  18. you don't need to do 22,8hs/d after landing, just do 22hs or 22d the exact moment you land. that way you avoid super jump-installing the teleport (which would give you an air dash, but no double / triple jump). also, if you did a double / triple jump before the landing jump install, you will miss those options after the teleport. a common setup is after an air throw: air throw, 22hs tele on landing, late air dash, j.hs. since you have relatively much time to act after an air throw, it looks to the enemy as if you would land from the teleport before he wakes up from the air throw. If he tries to throw you, you counter his HS with the air dash j.HS. does not work against venom or players who use offensive option select with faster moves.

  20. first of all, do you have recovery on in practice? cause you said only 2nd hit of j.k connected... second, against ky, going into ji combo off of a normal hit is pointless, since you could do better damage & knockdown with close S into 2d,rekka, HS, iad. combo and so on (see combo list). also, ky is very hard to juggle with a ji (if you want do do it anyway), 1f timing for the j.p after 22hs teleport. roboky is impossible to combo off of 2HS, tele, j.p. a gamma makes those combos easier against those chars, since it makes them float higher. nowadays (accent core), i only use jump install combos on rare occasions - for example after blocking a burst against johnny (hard to combo with an instant air dash combo).
  21. new gamechariot vids are a must see. TEN just rose up to best i-no. what a beast.
  22. i suggest you guys go to gamechariot.com and download the file with: FAB (PO) vs 0 (OR) FAB (PO) vs Minami (CH) Oosaka B (FA) vs Minami (CH) Oosaka B (FA) vs Ken (PO) minami actually wins against fab. Lots of things to discuss here. Admittedly he was really lucky in the end, but nonetheless, we can learn a couple of things from the match: - potemkin cannot crouch under 5P - abuse it! - you cannot bait or outwait a good potemkin into doing slidehead. not gonna happen. - the often-mentioned doctrine to "get in, get out, be patient" is still as valid as ever. we can see that minami often ends his pokestrings with very far moves (5D, very far 236S) to be as save as possible. - use preemptive anti-air against pot, before he has a chance to make you block a j.D or jump at you with j.S or HS - for example, use j.K from the ground when he is airborne. Be very very careful with 6P - better not to use it (avoid pot when he jumps at you and you cannot preemptive him). At one point, when minami has FAB pinned down in the corner (having FAB pinned down in the corner, the dream of every chipp?), fab tries to jump out, minami does an immediate iad.j.K[1],K[1] - pots air to air in such situations isnt that good.
  23. mirror matches are silly, and you should still know what normals beat your own OTHER normals, right?
