Also, I need a second opinion, does it look like Ada's meter usage got buffed to you guys? I dunno about regen, but it looks like it uses a bit less to me? Also, JG, I dunno what we can say about 2]D[, it only hit once and Ragna was pretty far away already. Maybe if you have the opponent sandwiched tighter, it's not so bad?? I need more vids. Waiting for Jourdal to post the rest. We didn't really see anything new from this yet, it looks like people are still trying to figure out how to use him and just playing it safe by pretty much only using air combos =\ EDIT: http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm15832083 You can see Carl try out that 3]D[ loop here, it clearly doesn't work anymore. They opponent just gets stuck on the floor. If you're quick, you can still pick up and combo your opponent (here Carl used 6B) and then go for an air combo. Relevant footage at 2:24 Other than that, he looks like standard CS2 Carl without glidethrows and (j2C+jB) x n. Hopefully we'll see more later. Youtube link when it's up.

Oh :S I hadn't realized it but yeah, a lot of people from the Carl crowd aren't here o.o I'm thinking Led Ley will be more useful than Vivace for me since Vivace eats lows and Led Ley is completely invincible. I'm assuming that you can't summon Ignis while doing any sort of move (except like Id Lauger or something), but if you have her already summoned, you can probably Led Ley for a reversal while using Ignis to counter. I haven't seen anyone do that yet, so maybe it isn't possible though. If it is possible, it might be harder to punish than Vivace since Ignis seems faster than Ada which means better cover. /Carl x Relius comparison for the people that don't care about/play Carl lol EDIT: So I'm watching the nico link that Jourdal just posted in the BB video posting thread (here if anyone wants to check it out) and I can hear Relius` theme a lot better since there`s no announcer. I can`t hear any opera at all though so I`m wondering if the opera was even that prominent to begin with. Also, it`s very clearly the CSX trailer music we heard before. Pretty sure he's just bound in a magic circle on the floor. Tsubaki is the same. Also, I'd say it's better than vivace (if Ignis can cover you) seeing as how it's completely invincible. Vivace eats lows Although B vivace is easy evac so maybe I take that back lol

It's just like Vivace, that's right. It's basically to dodge projectiles. Actually, there's one vid where Hima (I believe) uses it against Makoto at the end of the match. She charges and tries to do 5D (IIRC) and she goes right through him and he's able to counter to win the match. I'll get the vid and time in a sec. EDIT: Here it's used against Makoto. It looks like she tries to 5B actually (I don't know any of makoto's inputs..). The recovery isn't that great, Makoto could've countered but Relius grabbed first. I'm not sure if you can cover yourself with Ignis the way Carl can with Ada.

Isn't that just Led Ley? If you mean when he spins and Bang's foot goes through him, that's normal. "Led Ley (236A) Relius spins around while temporarily being in a state of invincibility Though it is completely invincible during its active frame it also has a long startup which makes it unconvenient to use as a reversal. It can also dodge projectiles." EDIT: Here (at 6:26) is Led Ley again. I think this is what you meant when he does it against Hazama?

Honestly, I only care how this match up is with Carl vs Relius and Relius mirror matches. If he becomes that popular, I can bet I'll be playing those matchups a lot. Also, random, but the way Relius plays reminds me of what I thought Carl would be like if he were grown up and still had Ada. Granted, Ignis moves a lot faster than Ada though.

Pretty sure he's saying "Relius, itai desu yo"? I don't speak Japanese but I think it's something like "Relius, it hurts". I guess he's saying it in a mocking way? Someone who knows what they're talking about can correct me at any time lol.

Oh I wasn't aware of that, I'd thought that it was a time-based thing. I did notice that when I was buffering those nico vids a while ago, there was some kind of announcement made and there was a bunch of text on the screen with "2:00" written at the top, I thought that might be the end of economy mode based on what Kronikhall said. Maybe it's works on terms of both popularity of the video and the time of day when the traffic is heaviest?

I attributed it to the arcade just being a bit faster than console, I keep hearing that it runs faster. Also, anyone know what times exactly nico is in "economy mode"? I always go on when the quality is horribad..

Pretty sure that's not true... Just that he can do it really fast (finger snap after all).

Oh o.o Man I feel bad for them, I'm only used to paying for (relatively) cheap stuff. I heard blu rays for anime and stuff cost like 100$ there too, that seems so ridiculous :S

Oh wow, I wasn't aware that it was THAT fast O__O So just in time for Christmas...Which means I'll be able to play it on my break.. Awesome! I heard that it's priced the equivalent of 60$ in Japan though..that worries me, but I'll still pick it up regardless.

I agree. I guess it's too much to expect some good gameplay of him right away, but I'm seriously hoping to see some good stuff by the end of the week. If I can just see his special battle intro with Carl, I'll be happy. I was expecting a media explosion I guess, that was unreasonable.

I wonder what Relius' face looks like without his mask. I'm guessing he's a bishie or his face is made of gears...I kinda want it to be both :P
