I was having a lot of trouble with Relius initially but it was probably a lot to do with me not knowing the character or the match-up at all and not looking out for Ignis' spin attack. One thing to note about the spin attack however is that you can hit Ignis out of it. Found this out when I accidentally 5A'd her out of it, but 5B with it's increased active frames could be pretty decent for shutting it down?

Same here Nieve. Hasn't even been dispatched yet

It's cool, I barely played BB during CS1 and didn't play Tsubaki during it~
-
Actually that's a point whilst we're on the subject of the 22X series. Where is best to land this move for specific situations? For example: Land it when they're high to go into dash 5C 2C extender Land it low to finish with 3CC Where do I land it if I want to 236236 or 6A, and any other useful things I haven't mentioned?

Oh. I didn't know we had a Match Finder thread now since I never check this subforum. Only noticed it because of the sidebar~ Shruikon Location: Worcester (West Midlands) PSN: Shruikon

[CS1-CSE] Tsubaki Self-Improvement and Critique Thread

Same, which is why I usually use the D-Pad. Still don't know why analog works better for 214214 but oh well. If you get a jump, just use an 'oh I totally meant to TK it' option select~ -

@Lumiere I too was having troubles with double quarter circles and then I tried doing them by switching from d-pad to analog stick just for that motion and now I get it 90% of the time. Perhaps the same will work for you? -
No, I was just gonna use the analog for double quarters and stick to the d-pad for everything else still. I really don't have any money to throw around buying sticks or pads anyway tbh.
-
5 charge mugen combos are hilarious but imo shouldn't really be used too often when 1 charge mugen combos give like 4k damage midscreen iirc and even more depending on starter.
-
Maybe. I can get it really consistently with the analog stick tho so I'll just get used to using that instead.
-
Got to play more EX a couple nights ago. Finally got Mugen combos down since I was having way too much trouble with double quarter circles. Would get it like 40% of the time if that? Tried it using the analogue stick for the motion only and I get it like 90% of the time. No idea why either since input display shows I was doing the correct input with d-pad. Oh well. Just need to get used to using it more in matches now. Looking forward to getting my copy this week and being able to spend hours in training mode and maybe getting to netplay against some good connections

Could be pretty neat. A good mix of humour in trashtalk or whatnot and informative discussion/analysis could go down very well.

Finally got to play Extend Tsubaki last night. Getting used to the new 5B and 5C and stuff, just need to start getting used to using the new combos and mugen combos and stuff
-
Random select button yo~

How did you not realise this throughtout the whole of CS2? :P In anycase, good stuff. I really wanna start playing CSEX already.
-
Played the game for the first time today, going straight into the deep end having not played an SC game in ages and picking Viola. Game's pretty fun and I really like how Viola plays~
-
Did Viola turn out to not be Amy then?

Skullgirls does also have that whole "new and shiny" thing going for it too though. Eitherway, I'm more annoyed that lolSFxT and MK9 are in the roster over BB tbh since I have a pretty low opinion of both of those. Not that I'd be going to EVO anyway, but last years EVO was the first I watched and I was under the impression BB did pretty well for itself considering the finals were done in the early morning and whatnot, and it's a disappointment that I won't get to see it on stream again this year. Oh well.
-
mAc has the right idea. It'll be like that Blazblue Revolution except Blazblue EVOlution.
-
Options > Controller Options IIRC. Eitherway, you can definitely turn it off.
-
Iirc, the swords-from-ground (no idea on Lambchops move names, sorry lol) doesn't have foot attribute so you can 214x right through that. I believe you can also beat out the start up for it with 236C even from fullscreen, but not entirely sure. Yeah, my Lambda exp isn't too great either tbh >_>

Stop sucking and learn DP whiff :p Seriously though, doesn't err, 5BB 5CC 22D 6CC 623C j.236A(w) j.214D 5C(w)C 22C ender work? Or maybe 5BB 5CC 22D 6CC j.214D 5C(w)C 22C ender. For IAD, 5BB 5CC 22D 2B 2CC IAD might work. PSP is currently in sleep mode on Fate/Extra not BB and I'm too lazy to go check on the PS3 but I think those work. Tbh though, if I get a 5B starter in the corner I'd almost always go for a DP whiff combo when I have charge. Either: 5BB 5CC 623C j.214A(w) 623C j.236A(w) j.214D 5C(w)C ender or 5BB 5CC 623C j.214A(w) 2CC 22D 5D then either 2B 2CC ender or 6CC 623C j.236A(w) j.214D 5C(w)C ender, depending on how much charge I have/get.

Yeah. I like the idea of DLC to be used to extend the games lifetime by offering new maps, characters, scenarios etc. The problem is that developers are doing shit like on-disc DLC when back in the day they would have been unlockables or something. When they're purposely locking away content already on the disc and then putting it up for "DLC", that's when it gets out of hand.
-
And Tiger & Bunny. (Why did no one mention it even once...? )
-
Huh, didn't realise 5C(w)C actually did that much more damage, I thought it was roughly equivalent. Good stuff. But yeah, I always use 5C(w)C because for me, it makes it so that I almost always land 2CC at the correct height.
