http://youtu.be/Vxcs6xrzhQU?t=5m48s It seems like chains and jabs got their combo time reduced? In this match you can see 5DD > j.B > 5B > 5C > 3C > Gasshou > 5A > 5C dropping after 5A, 2AAA > 5B > 2B > 3C also drops after 2B I'm guessing the jab nerf is universal? Under also dropped a short combo into super off his 5A, I don't know Tager combos but that might mean something. I also noticed that stocks regen even when Hazama's getting comboed, but not in the normal way. I haven't figured out exactly how they work, but you'll see the stocks charging up a little a couple of times while he's getting hit. Oh and there's no regen while airborne ayyyyyyyyyyyy No Ressen ender and Hiren sucking even more balls, as well as shitty normal Zaneiga starter are probably going to hurt a lot. I'm just hoping that we can get something off Zaneiga stagger ender, it's definitely not gonna be Sekkajin or old Bang 5D but there might be potential here. It also seems like we lost tons of damage off normal hits midscreen, and Houtenjin remains as lackluster as it's on 1.1. All that paired with the mobility nerf make me wonder how they want this character to play out. They've been immensely confused since 1.1, make up your mind please instead of doing random changes with every new balance patch k Also Sey, how's his pressure any better? Jabaki stance cancel is pretty much only combo fodder, S.Zanei is faster but still too slow while regular Zanei seems bad, and Ressenga got slower. Unless there've been rogue buffs that I'm unaware off, he seems worse in pretty much every aspect.

So 2D JC works even without a freeze, cool. Too bad that Hizansen is even worse now Also opponents fall faster after a j.D freeze?
-
I thought 2D was JCable only during its last freeze frames? Which means that followups aren't possible at all without the freeze?
-
I don't... what is it after all, is it dead or not? Also thank god for getting stocks on block, even though eliminating stock usage on the A cancel might've been better. But it's still something I guess
-
^ I guess they want us to do 5D > Sekka refreeze instead? But even then I don't really see how we could get anything off it meterless other than ABC > Senshouzan. Also freeze resets dead in the corner?
-
starter > 3C > Jabaki > Zanei > (66 5C) > 66C > 66 5C > 2D > J.Gasshou > j.Cxn > Hiren Calling it
-
That's not new iirc But yeah fuck Hakumen
-
It will definitely make the 5C > 5D > Jabaki frametrap more scary, atm it's only there to condition your opponent not to mash after a point blank chain so you can go into stance mixup instantly. Now we can probably get more out of it whether they block Jabaki or not, ideally getting a J.Zaneiga followup on CH. Most of these changes look interesting, but we'll need more stuff to make up for the stock nerf. By the way, they didn't use chain cancel on that showcase video, did they? M-maybe they changed their mind and it won't eat up stocks now

Just get used to doing instant j.4D~D to zip horizontally and j.6D~slight delay D for a more downward trajectory, it's what you'll be using the most for moving around the screen. The rest of the time you'll be canceling later or earlier with various buttons depending on the situation, there's nothing to be taught here really
-
You shouldn't burn that extra meter on CT unless it's for the kill, you can already get almost 5k off Hizangeki into Hizansen ender or 4.5k with Sekka ender

It seems like gcOD won't be as strong as it seemed. I only watched the Hazama part of the video which starts at about 1:20, but he used it plenty of times and the Ragna dummy recovered from the gcOD'ed moves before Hazama could Houtenjin. He was even able to land and do an extra 2C after a gcOD'ed air Blood Scythe, and he didn't even get CH'ed. That throws gcOD > Houtenjin into gorilla damage out of the window, and most of the characters should only be able to start pressuring, definitely not getting a combo off of it. Or maybe I'm just missing something idk

You "just" have to delay the jc after 5C as much as possible and also delay between j.Cs as much as possible, preferably the last hit. Unfortunately, I never figured out the exact timing, just managed to pull it off a few times to optimize it and look at the values. The fact that you can easily add a Mizuchi finisher is indeed a boon, but it's still not worth it imo. Especially if they release the new patch or whatever soon Also the x.D~D > j.2D~D > Hiren route probably doesn't work off 3C > Gasshou > 5A > 5C since they're too close for 4D to bite and they'll be to high up if you add a 2C. You shouldn't be able to get much off it after 6C as well, most likely only 5C > 2C > Jakou since it'll be too prorated to end in j.C and even if it worked they'd definitely tech out of SMP Hiren ender. By that point you'd also have used up your 4D so no chains before Jakou as well. tl;dr it only MIGHT be worth it if you go for Mizuchi ender, and even then I doubt you'd get any more than 100 extra damage. The only optimal (and not disturbingly hard) ways to use this route is off Zaneiga, in other words Noze's combo, or using 3C > ODc. In both cases you'll want to end in Mizuchi. eg: 5C > 3C > ODc > 66 5C > j.DD > j.2DD > Hiren > 66 5C > 6C > 66 5C > 2C > chain x3 > Jakou > Mizuchi for 5695 damage Scratch that... I just remembered that you can get almost 200 more damage using a variation of the regular route, so yeah... it's mostly for style points. 5C > 3C > ODc > 66 5C > 5DA > 5C > 6D > J.Gasshou > sj.C5 > 5C > 2C > 4DA > j,7DA > Jakou > Mizuchi 5860 damage

Yooo Hitotose posted some full health ODc combos which utilized j.2DD > Hiren > 5C on his nico account as well, pretty slick

You can get about 5.2k I believe from corner throw into OD with <=70% hp and 75 meter spent, I don't know if RCing it is actually worth it Throw > Musou whiff > OD > 5C > 6D > 6C > 6B > Hizansen > 6C > CT > walk back 2C > Fubuki > OD Touga Needs less than 60 meter to boot iirc, can't remember the exact values off the top of my head -

Just making Hizansen connect doesn't mean you'll get the rest of the combo correctly, that's why I mentioned that you might need 66 5B or to check how you input the TK. But yeah just do 5B as quickly as possible, you can try it on someone like Hakumen at first since you don't have to do dash 5B iirc. Once you get 5B's timing down, try to replicate it with and extra dash before it Just to clarify, you don't need to dash 5B in order to connect Hizansen, but to be able to pick up afterwards. So don't assume that you don't need it against any characters that Hizan connects on without the dash. -

On some characters you have to do either Musou > 66 5B(2), Hizansen > 66 2B, or sometimes both (eg on Tao iirc). Also 2148C works on everyone, however 8214C works as well on a handful of characters and it feels more consistent against them. Then again it might just be that I'm more familiar with the input thanks to CSEX Hazama. If I were you I'd practice 66 5B using 2148C since it works on pretty much everyone, dash 2B is rarely necessary and also the hardest part of the combo so yeah -
I rarely get playable connections even with British players, I don't want to imagine how bad cross-continent would be. I take it you have godlike net though, and we're kinda close. We should play sometime
-
Are you guys actually doing cross-continent netplay

I was figuring out Orochi RC combos the other day, and since I got a somewhat new phone ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3mZG09DVNEk https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-_Y0Lc3llPo Also some more stuff nobody's written down yet so I thought why not https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AH7Vf_rF6S8 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zdqlI2aGw88

Stance cancel or Jabaki. Once they start respecting your 3C you can start doing mixup after it but only every once in a while since 3C > Ressen/Zanei is really obvious, also delay Jabaki which will catch most buttons unless they are really expecting it and have the proper tools. You probably don't want to go into 3C on block anyway unless you're fishing for frametraps, or ending your pressure safely with Jabaki (+1) afterwards when you're pushed out of range by barrier.

Hazama's normals are great, it's just that he needs to get right in the opponent's face for them to work. That's what chains are for, so yeah
