Having a ton of trouble with 6D j.D 5D(I think there's one in trial 13?), it never seems like I can land in time to get the 5D out before the tech, anyone have an idea as to what I'm missing?

The XBL lobby I was planning for tonight had to get moved to tomorrow if anyone was interested, send me a friendy @ CalliTehRDM

It would probably be for the best, since the first week of June will likely work better than the weekend of UFGT8 as well.

Usually the extra health is the main reason why I use it, with the amount of times I get hit I'm never really comfortable with the amount of health that I have on him. Does the boost to using multiple drive moves in the same combo also apply to CS as the combo finisher as well?

I guess I was always wondering since it came up lol, I'm assuming there's no consensus on if Carnage Scissors is useful or not? I tend to use most of my meter on RCs or CAs but I almost never use BK since I have trouble consistently land BK combos, especially ending with DbD. Typically if they're low on health and I'm iffy on what proration will do to a combo I just CS for the sure damage.

Yeah so far I get them after the RC, it's just tough spending the meter simply to bait it when I need that to really get in there and kick some ass, lol. The only other thing that consistently baits them for me is corner throws, but it's not like I can just walk up and do those at will. It's probably a temporary thing, I'd say the complaints are based less on his actual balance and more on the fact that the people complaining are seeing waves upon waves of Ragnas online and are losing to 5B > 5C > HF spam often. This too, not sure if any of you play SFxTK, but Ryu is legitimately busted in it and the salt is multiplied by the fact that it's fucking Ryu, lol.

I had a hell of a time learning it myself, I literally got it down maybe two weeks ago. You have to dash the second you hit the ground and immediately 3C after inputting the dash, I can tell you almost for certain that you just aren't inputting it quickly enough. As far as the 'invalid' part, it's probably just you're doing it too late, you can tell if it's not possible by when they tech, if they reach the ground, or close to it, it was possible, if they tech in mid-air well off the ground it was not possible within that specific combo.

That would be immensely helpful, I've been trying to pick up my play in several games but I'm having a pretty hard time with footsies/pressure as I get back into BB. My execution is picking back up(I'm landing CID > dashunder 3C for the first time like, ever lol) but I'm having a hard time with things like mixups and baiting bursts so that I don't eat one right after using a RC.

Since Skullgirls is pushed back a week, I'll be doing a streamed CSE lobby on XBL this coming Monday, 4/9. Send me a friend invite if you want in, or you can watch on my twitch linked in sig, the schedule link is a google calendar that shows what games I'll be playing on what nights(waiting for NHL playoff schedule to be released before filling out the rest of the next few weeks). If you have an XBL mic that doesn't do the awful echo thing you're more than encouraged to use it, the XBL chat all comes through on stream. Edit: Scratch the thing on the XBL mics, after beating my head against the wall trying to get XBL chat audio to be consistent I scrapped using it, now lobby chat for my XBL rooms will be held on Skype, if you're interested in the lobby and/or chat let me know.

For those of you interested in other games, we have those casuals at NC every Saturday, and monthly tournaments(the next being April 21st), at the moment the tournies are only for AE/SFxTK/Marvel/KOF/MK9 but if we can get a solid group of people out I'd be more than willing to help run a BB bracket.

As far as bringing consoles goes, I will always tell you that there's no such thing as 'enough' setups at any offline event. If you have one and it's not a major pain to bring it, we'll find a spot for it.

Nickel City starts around 7:30pm, we have lots of space, but especially for you guys I would greatly recommend bringing a setup if you can, obviously the gathering is going to be more Capcom-centric but everyone's pretty friendly, Shin can vouch for that. I'm responsible for the stream from Nickel now so my xbox will likely be tied up with SFxTK.

Unrelated, but I'll be hosting an XBL lobby in BB:CSE on Friday if anyone wants to hop in with me and some of my various internet and possibly rl friends. All skill levels welcome, will be streamed/recorded.

Can anyone give me an explanation on why 6B > 5C > 6C combos on a crouching opponent but not on a standing one?

I am guilty of really liking SF4, I hate MvC3 but I still play it, presumably because I dislike myself and wish to inflict mayad upon myself.

That said, a few setups would be a great help. My 360 is probably going to be in use for streaming that night, which means it'll most likely be dominated by SFxTK.

Just a reminder for tomorrow, there won't be a normal night of casuals at Nickel City, however there will be a decently-sized tournament there starting at 6pm, details here. There won't be BB this time around but there will be several other games, I figure some of you may also play SF/Marvel/xTK and such. Also we are still looking at a possibility of a BB side tourney at UFGT8, but we definitely need to have a reasonable amount of confirmed attendees before Shin and/or myself gets at Keits to make it happen. There's only one way to build a scene, and that's by showing up in force. If you guys can also let me know what you're thinking in terms of venue for next week since I believe that's supposed to be the monthly gathering, I definitely need to be at NC for streaming duties but if everyone's going to be at ignite I can see about working out a schedule to get some time in there. Edit: I almost forgot...I'm going to try to be making more time for several games, as I dumped a bunch of money on about every FG ever and only seem to play two of them. I'm going to be kinda scheduling my nights one game per night, doing XBL lobbies on my stream. Normally I play with friends from another forum, but there aren't really enough of them that play to fill out a decent lobby, if some of you guys want to send me XBL invites you're more than welcome to join.
