So it looks like GGA is having a big cabinet-only tournament today starting at 11am, and BB:CSE is actually on the list, so that cab might be back from the dead as well. Wish I could go but my mother got carjacked Thursday night and I need to deal with the cops/family and visit her in the hospital. I might still be at NC tonight, not sure.

$5, I believe the actual hours are 3pm-2am, most people get there around 6-7. It's pretty crowded compared to NC because it's a very small room, but if you bring a setup you can generally find a spot for it.

Was that awhile ago? Technically the only dead things at GGA are what people don't show up to play. I know several people who attend there regularly that have expressed interest in BB, but people need to show up to play it. It doesn't even need to be that many really, we regularly only have the same 6 players for Skullgirls and we still have a setup for that each week. As far as on the arcade floor itself, yes, they've removed the BB cabinet in favor of SFxTK but they have at least acknowledged that maybe wasn't the greatest move lol, the same amount of people play each cab but at least BB was objectively a good game.

I don't know if I should be mad that my dualmodded stick broke 2 weeks before EVO, or glad that it didn't break 1 week before EVO so that I was able to at least order an Eightarc that should be here in time.

Yeah that's a pretty prime location. Ignite is brutal to get to on weeknights from the suburbs.

My July is mostly shot, the only weekend I'll be free is the 21st and that one's kinda up in the air. Don't forget though, normal Nickel Saturdays are every week and we do have another Windy City Showdown Prime on the 30th.

No, that's held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Nickel is about 5 minutes from there edit: hopefully the distance will be offset by the $2 venue fee!

Why hallo there, Michigan! 1) Will get this out of the way, FUCK THE RED WINGS 2) Shin tells me some of you guys may be interested in making a trek out to visit us in the near future, I hope that's true! I'll keep him posted on some of our events, I'm hoping to work BB into our monthly tourneys in Northbrook, and he'll pass on what we have going on. I know a couple of your names already, Lumin I recognize from the Ragna boards(I'm still awful at Ragna btw). I'm not sure what the level of competition we have here is relative to you guys, but if we can manage a solid 12+ people I could definitely get a $5-10 tourney organized with top 4 on stream. I myself am pretty bad at BB, I'm just a big fan of the game. If you guys play other games as well, we always have AE/Marvel/KOF/Skullgirls at these events, sometimes MK9, and also SFxTK(lol).

Not a prob, thanks for coming out! Glad we got some people to try it out, we have 2-3 people who normally play Capcom games/Skullgirls that are starting to get into BB.

Update on Nickel tonight, we don't get an early start, still starts at 7pm, but they're letting us stay until 2am this time around so we get an extra hour at the end!

If we can get most if not all of them interested in coming for the next WCSP, as well as most of you guys, I could likely get CurlyW to let me add BB to the lineup, maybe in lieu of SFxTK. There should be another one within the next few weeks, I'll hit you up when it's announced.

I wish I could tell you that you didn't miss much, but that was one of the greatest weekends I've ever had Hopefully Nickel Saturdays will be back in full effect this week, obviously I hope to see you guys out there and we should be having another Windy City Showdown Prime on the docket very soon!

I was understanding it was this week, going to be trying to brush up on BB all week! Thanks, had some deja vu in day two, go 2-0 in SFxTK, only to win the right to get demolished by Ricky Ortiz again, lol. Won my first Skullgirls match too but then had to face JetM(super-nice guy by the way) and got blown up pretty badly there as well. I really hope all of you come out for next year's UFGT, this entire weekend has been an absolute blast.

UFGT8 is a blast through Day 1, about to head back to the Crowne Plaza. I won my first match of AE handily, only to advance to face Ricky Ortiz who beat the living tar out of me lol

Enigmos were you still looking to do it live in two weeks? I'm still looking to get ahold of a PS3 copy since I'm assuming that's what most of you guys play on. Hoping to put down the Capcom games/Skullgirls for a bit and really crank out some BB once UFGT is past and I have a lull before EVO and don't have to grind it out on AE/SFxtK. Edit: I'm drunk, come out in two weeks and play games! Shin I'll find you at UFGT to see if we can get some casuals in.
