Basically just means being mad that you lost. Some people believe they can win and want to run it back, other people throw their stick. I've been known to both depending on if it's online or in person lol

Alright guys, I have some pretty cool news: Rather than what would have been WCSP5, it looks like we'll be holding Chicago 4 Ultimate in Midwest Arena(see also: CHICAGO HEART 4 YAYAYAYAYA). http://shoryuken.com/forum/index.php?threads%2Faug-18-2012-heartnana-nickel-city-present-chicago-4-ultimate-in-midwest-northbrook-il.164826%2F Saturday, August 18th. Unlike our normal WCSP tournaments that start at 6pm, Nickel City is giving us the room for the entire day. Several games are already on the docket, including P4U, and I wouldn't be surprised if GG gets added. Where I need your guys' help: I would LOVE to get BB added to the roster, but I have to know that we'll have enough people to warrant adding it. If there's any event to come out to all summer, this is it. Shin, if you could please hit up the Michigan guys and see if there's any interest there.

I'm out of town this weekend but NC is still going per usual whether there's a planned meetup or not if anyone wants to go play some games

Played in a garage instead of GGA last night, BB was had. I still feel awful about my actual lack of knowledge in matchups and my own character, but after not playing the game for a long time it felt pretty good to see how my general FG skills have improved the past few months, I was blocking mixups on reaction and stealing rounds just on pure spacing/fundamentals.

I'd recommend also creating an account on Shouruken.com if you don't already have one, I know that in The Dojo > Regional Matchmaking > Midwest there's a thread for Central IL players, obviously being SRK they may be more Street Fighter-oriented, but they also play Marvel for sure and I'd be surprised if someone there doesn't pick up P4U. Otherwise if you have transportation and don't mind the scenic drive up 55(oof lol, I was born in Decatur, I know it well), we have gatherings the days a week and also somewhat larger monthly tournaments in Northbrook.

The good news is I ordered a mixer and nice mics for my stream setup which should be here in time for the next WCSP, so we'll be looking for commentators, and the audio quality should be much better.

I'll be out myself on the 11th due to a concert but definitely interested in P4U.

Due to that I won't be at NC this weekend, though I'll be back next week. There hasn't been an official announcement but we're likely looking at 8/4 for the next WCSP tournament.

I'll be unable to make NC myself both tomorrow and next weekend as well as the 11th due to prior engagements, but I'll be back on track after that. EVO was awesome, I got embarrassed at BB though.

I have to admit, I love me some animes and Arcsys and whatnot but the first time I saw AH3 I was like "Alright, that's juuuuuuuust past the line of being too weeaboo for me...", lol

Ideally Arc just gives P4U terrible netcode, that way people are forced to play in person I think he was using 'airdasher' as a euphamism for 'anime' in this context, Marvel/SG definitely share mechanics with Arcys/Melty/etc but definitely separate fanbases a lot of the time.

Definitely want us to stop using this caveat like that, if you play games, come to NC, if you bring a setup, booya BB will be played! It may take me a bit to make it around since I'm running the stream and try to play several games but I'll always get over for some matches eventually, and I see some interest growing in it from a few friends. I think post-EVO we'll be able to get a few new BB players in.

Yes and no, she has two broken bones in her neck, but they were clean breaks, she has to wear one of those halo-brace things that screws into your head for a couple of months, but the doctors say she'll make a full recovery on her own. It sounds awful but it could have been a lot worse, typically carjackers don't keep the person if they only want the car and don't intend to do something to the person, so I guess it was more of a botched abduction than a carjacking, the guy was fidgeting with the seat trying to move it to his height and rolled into traffic, where a taxi nailed the car. As much as it sucks that she took a taxi to the face, it probably saved her life, because who knows what the hell the guy was planning on doing with her. Awful scenario and whatnot, but she's going to end up just fine so there's only so much to complain about. On a happier note that has much less to do with my mother and felonies, don't forget we have Windy City Showdown Prime #4 coming up next week at Nickel City! If you play non-BB games and want to join the $10 brackets come on out, it's a great time, and it'd still be possible to get a BB bracket in there if I could be assured of 8+ people showing up.
