In general I hadn't thought about using 2B in places, in the corner can you get launch > 5D(1) > HF > 2B instead of 5B since 5B is so unreliable in the corner?

So who is actually not going to Youmacon that will be at Pazzo? Wish I could get tomorrow off to make the trip but I still want to grind out a bit and learn some new matchups.

Ah gotcha...I'll play with that tonight, you get counter status if you use it to punish something, correct? I'm assuming in the corner you can DID > dash > 3C > 22C > DS and go from there, might be able to actually fit every special he has into the same combo if HF > delay 5B doesn't act all finicky in the corner.

I was looking through a bit...is Ragna the only character that can't cancel his AA on block? I'm not even sure how I'm supposed to deal with IADs now, was playing a Terumi that was alternating between IAD > barrier and IAD > J.D or whatever the downward green swipe is, and I had to take a 50/50 on if I wanted to attempt to anti-air and get bodied if he blocked, or let him come in and get free pressure.

What are the actual properties of a DID FC compared to no counterhit?

I've been trying to squeeze GH into spots like above where I can 5D after it, what else works as a follow up to it later in combos?

I figured it was something around those lines, thanks. Corner Throw: 5/6B+C > 236D > 3C > 22C > 214Bxx214D > 5D(1) > 623Dxx236Cxx214D Damage: 3,295 Heat Gained: 21% Works on backthrow too if your throwing them into the corner from close to it.

Midscreen 5B > 5C > 2D(RC) > Dash > 5C > 5D(1) > 214A > 5B > 5D(1) > 214Bxx214D > microdash > 5D(2) > 22C > 623Dxx236Cxx214D Damage: 4,126 Heat Required: 50% Heat Gained: 18%(not sure why it did 9% in the video, maybe because I RC'd twice in a short time, but it's 18% when I do it on dummy) Not really optimized but I have an easier time executing it than 2D(RC) dash 22C dc DS dc etc. Omit the dash after the RC for smaller characters. edit: also it looks like DID whiffs on small characters if you haven't carried them to the corner, so it's only for actual 'midscreen', not full on them

This is exactly how I got the two that I did lol, trying to DS out of a blockstring. I like new DS but I would absolutely trade BS for having 214 DS back and not having to worry about whether or not I'll actually get DID when I want it.

I got both consoles with me tonight so I'll have a BB setup, Shin give me some Ragna schooling tonight. Combos/ground pressure I'm okay with but I don't really know how to approach from the air or really know any oki on him. I also think I need to change my 2nd stick to a square gate, Dead Spike changing to 236 actually sucks because it seems get massive input priority over DID if you don't get perfectly clean corners

I get DS instead of DID fairly often but I also play too much SF4, so I probably just can't do clean SRKs to save my life; I think I'm going to swap a square gate into my second stick instead of the octo I normally use and use that for CP, hopefully the hard corner will help with consistently getting 3C and DID instead of 2C/DS. I'm a little iffy on how to apply oki as Ragna, are there specific setups that people are using? I'm kinda just going ham with standard 6B/2B/Crush Trigger mixups.

Are there any specific benefits to ending air combos in Blood Scythe as opposed to the ID string? Also I'm having a hell of a time trying to combo after BS, is there any thing specific I can do to help with the timing? It feels like they're already teching by the time I even recover enough to 5B. Edit: Also is 2D only dash cancelable in Overdrive?

Likely 2/3, I'll need to research the stages a bit. The game does move along fairly quickly, but I'm not sure if it's really 3/5 quickly. -
