  1. I found an easier way to tigerknee the day before yesterday (well, at least for me); I go 21478 to ensure I get "up". It really feels like the 7 and 9 on the 360 D-pad is very small zones compared to 4, 8 and 6 >_> My game right now is probably quite predictable, if I get to four magatama I will use it for Yukikaze no matter what and if there is any space between me and the opponent I will air dash. >_> Well, that is about to change! >: D I try to use Kishuu a lot more, but I for some reason I have problem with the input, but not with Atomic Collider? ._.
  2. Do not scare me now! : O
  3. No, it is not just you. BlazBlue was my first real fighting game, and I quite quickly decided to go for Hakumen. My friend who introduced me to the game said "while you can't run, but you have a good air dash", so since then I really only air dash all the time. xD Which is why I try to learn neutral game, using high-jumps and double jumps (!), because I always get hit when I air dash. xD
  4. I see players go both Air Dash JB and sometimes Air Dash J2C when closing in on the opponent, when do you do which of them? I am getting close at learning the dustloop now, so I was thinking of improving my neutral game. What to do? : 3 To train blocking I went versus against the computer and my goal was to survive 99 seconds, without attacking or getting into negative. Only use 4C and JC to win? :o
  5. Hakumen and Tager mirrors, anyone?
  6. I bought this game last week, and have been playing some. At first I thought of maining Maori (I do have a soft spot for temple maidens, especially big breasted once :3), but she did not like I wanted. I think I have settled down with Plant Akane! : D
  7. I had my old friend from Japan over who have been playing BlazBlue since day 1. Watching him play really inspired me and I think I determined one of my bad habits: button mashing. It is not that I do it randomly, but for like the standard 5D-combo I guess my input looks like this: 5D CCCCCCCCCCC 214A 6CCCCCCC >_> I guess I will never learn timing if I keep doing this. ... On a side note, we are pretty sure that Hakumen 2Ded the black beast. : 3
  8. I choose Hakumen because of his Zanshin. The only fighting game I had ever played before was Dead or Alive 2, and there I just spammed counter holds all the time so, being able to that was a big plus. He also has two of the most awesome moves in the game: - Yukikaze, which counters anything and looks awesome. - 2D, which is a FRICKIN' FOOT GRAB. Hakumen can grab 550 kg Tager with his toes and throw him! ... my friends claims I have a fetish for white masks, but I don't know. : 3
  9. I am not giving up the d-pad. : p (I do have that new controller with a proper cross, so it is some 1% better than the usual 360's) I tried my friends stick but it did not feel right, well probably one just need to get used to it, but I am casual gamer so it feels a little too much for me. I would rather do a port with a better d-pad than invest in a stick. :3 In fact I started out on the 360 stick but switched to the d-pad for more precision. I like that I only need to move the thumb and that it can rest upon the d-pad. Thanks, so I guess it is just a matter of moving forward before starting the other combos. ;3 I will keep on training though! Like I said I can do the individual parts (at least facing right), but I need to learn it to do, like you said, inuitively.
  10. Hello, everyone! BlazBlue is really the first fighting game I have every played (at least seriously) and playing it on the 360's d-pad does not make it easier. But last night I trained some at the dustloop, but there is still a long way to go. I can make the individual steps in it, but cannot connect them as of yet. I really like Zanshin, so I wonder, is there any easy combos that doesn't include too many dashes, steps or normals for ↓D or →D? (Step and Dash is quite hard to do on the d-pad, and also messes up my poor timing. I can't even complete that challenge with ↓B ↓A A B Guren ↘C as my timing between these quick A's and B's are still a problem for me) Standing D ⇒ Standing C ⇒ Guren ⇒ →C is 2123 for 1 metre and only contains specials and C's. If I have three metres I usually go for Zantetsu for more damage (I suppose Renka is ment to be special cancelled?). But there are no obvious way except for air combos on ↓D and →D. I suppose you can hit late with standing C after ↓D, but what to follow up with? I usually follow up →D with →C for som 1.8k damage, which still is not too bad at my level, but it feels unsatisfactionary. So until I learn the dustloop, what kind of ground combos for Zanshin are there?
  11. (I hope this does not violate thread rules. In that case, go easy on the newbie : 3) Well, you could be right if "requiem" is spelled "req uiem" (or if the Japanese believe it should be). In the Japanese it is spelled with a space (or dot to be precise). On one note though the last Distortion Drive is named "Duo" not "Tuo". Duo means "pair" does it not? As he seems to be a doll user as well, this makes sense. If you want to make your own interpretation you can have the exact romanization here: (I know no Latin, so your guess is probably better than mine, I put my in the parenthesis :3) (I also pur in the commands if anybody would like them) Ido Roigaa [id Loiger] ↓↘→ C (air also) →Haasu [Has] after Ido Roigaa ↓↙← A (air also) →Naia [Naia] after Ido Roigaa ↓↙← B in air Redo Rii [Led Li] ↓↘→ A Baru Ranto [bal Lant] ↓↙← A Baru Raia [bal Laia] ↓↙← B Baru Tyuusu [bal Tus] ↓↙← C Gira Noozu [Gila Noz] ↓↙← D Gira Akuto [Gila Act] ↓↘→ D Beru Rafiino [bel Rafino] ↓↙← B in air Reku Vinomu [Lec Vinom] →↘↓↙←→ C Boru Teedo [bol Ted] →↘↓↙←→ D Dyuo Vaiosu [Duo Vaios] ↓↘→↓↘→ D
