I'm starting to feel that this match-up is definitely in Akihiko's favor. 5D/j.D really screws with her air game as others have pointed out. You don't really have a reason to fear j.B as long as she's still magnetized. As long as you aren't pressing buttons after a blocked j. B, you should be fine. IB'ing through her blockstrings definitely helps...and is something I need to work on in general. IB'ing, that is :P

I told myself I was just going to practice in training mode today, but...does anyone want to have a last minute practice lobby before Final Round? I feel like there are things I still need to work on that I botch mid-match when I'm playing against a good opponent.

I'll be sure to do that! I've only had a few friends to play most fighters with online since CS1, so I really need to branch out if I want to get any better. Fighting randoms only does so much for a person, haha. Again, GGs Kuru. Your Aigis is too good...but I'll catch up eventually!

GGs Kurumster! I wasn't able to get anything started in most of those games (your pressure is relentless), but it's nice to finally get to play an Aigis player. Haven't played one in months now. I need to relearn the match-up...yeah, that would probably help, haha.

Also, I don't know about the activities of the FGC down here because I can never figure out where they post their news. If I ever attend their events it's because one of my friends tells me about it :'(

@kurokage First, you need to work on confirming into 2AB. You tend to just throw it out there without actually confirming into it first. As Shinsyn said before, you need to start utilizing Yu's 5D oki if you really want to be a threat with him. Besides that, make use of 2C in place of some of those 2ABs if you're still not comfortable with using Yu's Oki. It's a much safer option than constantly using an unsafe sweep.

Ah, okay. I'll try the fuzzies, then. I couldn't really get my oki started against a Mitsuru I faced in a local tournament, so I was wondering how to deal with rather patient players. Thanks for the info!

What variations of 5D oki would you guys recommend against Mitsuru? 2AB>5DD> IAD j. B crossup? I know this shuts down her r-action if spaced correctly, but is there anything else I should be trying in my oki game when I play a good Mitsuru?
