  1. I want to, but I'm too tired, and I have shit to do already anyway.
  2. Thinking of going tomorrow (Sat) for a little bit. Possibly in the late afternoon or early evening. I'll post up if I figure out a specific time. Hope to see people there.
  3. Why, yes, render. Why, FUCK yes, render. I TOLD you about the ladies, bro. I TOLD you.
  4. MAYBE should have. DEFINITELY didn't. We can settle this on Sunday.
  5. Do you still even play this game? EDIT: my av is so sick
  6. holy shit I just fell out of my chair laughing
  7. Why didn't 2C connect, then? Did I just do it too slow? Seemed like it should've connected from the 5C I did.
  8. hahahahaha, yeah, 623C get-out-of-jail-free card. Still don't understand why my D ice car didn't connect. EDIT: That bang sprite is fucking awesome.
  9. Yeah, that is the freaking WORST. Makes me really jealous to watch other friends' vids where they play really well, and I think "wtf I'm just as good as that guy! Why was I such a scrub in MY vid?" haha I had it coming. I've been looking forward to Assless Chaps for a while now, anyway. Should be free of illness by this weekend, though. Hoping to play a BUNCH of BB next week. Missed you guys last night, but I was ill and had some crap to take care of anyway. Also, <3 @ Dacidbro.
  10. Didn't see them mentioned anywhere since I mentioned vids 3 pages ago, so I thought I'd share. Finally a BB vid that I actually played reasonably well in! XD
  11. Some of the vids are up: http://www.youtube.com/user/ArcadeInfinity
  12. Still haven't heard from you, qwerty. Did you get my pm?
  13. I'd like to do the Jin section. I am an English/Japanese translator by profession. Please pm me with details. EDIT: I'll PM -you- for details.
  14. Can't wait for the next tourney, and for vids from the last one. XD
  15. GGs, all!! I had a really good time at the tournament. Nice to see that it finished so early, too. Plenty of time for casuals afterward. That's really flattering to hear. That was a really great match.
  16. IT KEEPS HAPPENING :psyduck::psyduck: holy shit, did you make that image yourself, Bang?
  17. This sounds awesome. Thinking about going to this.
  18. Learn CS! There will be a side tourney for it for sure.
  19. haha, yeah, that's not gonna happen. Let's just stick with the usual singles + 3v3. Instead of trying to do a regional 5v5, how about some areas put money on the line and say they can beat other regions for some hype money matches? e.g. SoCal 5-man team will take on any other region in a $250 money match.
  20. I really believe that it's best to try to run CS for Warzone II. The community (especially SoCal) has expressed overwhelmingly that it has moved on from CT to CS, so at the very least, CT should not even be considered. Regarding streaming CS, HellFromAbove's Top Tier Gaming does direct-feed streaming of CS from one of the local SoCal machines almost weekly, and I expect the equipment he uses is likely the same as what you already have available for streaming at Warzone. I suspect that streaming will not be a problem, especially if you are limiting it to top 8. That said, I think people would rather have a CS tournament at the sacrifice of the stream (in whatever way it had to be) than no CS at Warzone. I think having even 1 setup to run CS would be sufficient, even if it means starting the tournament earlier. I, for one, would be willing to put up with a CS tournament that takes a few extra hours if it needs to. But I also don't think it would be all that hard to secure 1-2 more setups to get things running. We'll see what happens when BB console is announced soon (link here), but I think it's unlikely we'll see a release before this year's Warzone in April. I know EVO recently dropped BlazBlue for another tournament, but their case is slightly different. They are dealing with the entire country. They are literally the biggest major tournament in the US. There was talk of getting all the people that own CS boards to bring them to EVO, but they would need like 5-10 boards, and they can't safely count on every one of those people who promised to bring their CS board to follow through. For Warzone, I think it can be done. I know of 1 CS board that you can 100% count on, and I don't think it would be all that hard to procure 1-2 more before Warzone happens. I think solidifying CS's spot at Warzone will get people pretty fucking hype. This is LESS than TWO MONTHS away. I already can't fucking wait! If you're open with the community about what it takes to make CS happen at Warzone, I guarantee you we will step up and make it happen. Tell us what YOU need to happen to make CS's spot at Warzone secure. Who knows? Maybe we'll all be surprised and BB will come out on console in like a month and all of this won't matter.
  21. Thanks for telling us what your crystal ball says, man. Now, when this does actually happen, you can post up a big all-caps "I TOLD YOU SO" on Dustloop and feel smug. While all of that is certainly possible, I don't think BB has the same shitty rep with the Capcom crowd that GG did. It may down the line, but it doesn't now. THIS THREAD IS DONE, AMIRITE?
  22. Link to announcement?
  23. There has been no public statement regarding a US release of BB:CS from Aksys or any other party (you would've heard if there had been), so unless Spirit Juice has some sweet connections that I'm unaware of, his comment is purely speculation. The US console release for BB:CT wasn't announced until March 2009 for a late June 2009 release. It's my understanding that an announcement this March is still too late for the EVO staff to make their decision on it, and I don't imagine Aksys (and thereby, Arc System Works) will push to make an announcement about it just for the sake of EVO (which is foolish, in my opinion, but oh well). As stated in the OP, they'd like to make a decision THIS FRIDAY. EDIT: Here's the official announcement from Aksys for the US BB:CT console release, dated March 4th: http://www.aksysgames.com/2009/03/04/blazblue-announced-for-north-america-bs/ It should also be noted that even when they DID announce it, they didn't specify a date. Stating that it would come out before EVO would pretty much lock them into having it done and shipped before July 9th (EVO date), and that's not a smart thing for game publishers to do if they're still working on it.
  24. The problem with still running CT at EVO is that even if the people who have moved onto CS acknowledge CT as a legit game to run, none of those people are going to get AT ALL hype about the game. Those who haven't moved on are the people who aren't dedicated enough to get their hands on CS in some form, or who are only interested in net-play. I'm not trying to discredit their skills online (though it's a much different game), but how many of those online players go to tournaments? EVO is the perfect opportunity to put CS in the spotlight and get the word out that the new BB is out there and it's a really good game. But if CS simply CAN'T be run at EVO legitimately, then that's too bad. I'm sure it will turn heads as a side tournament, but timing didn't work out. If any version of BB is going to be run as a main game, it should be the version that's going to get the most hype, and that's most definitely NOT CT. It's a tough position for Aksys too. They can't just come out and confirm or deny whether it's getting released in time for EVO, because that might not fit into their marketing plan/schedule, AND it would automatically confirm that it IS coming out in the US, which may be information that they're not in a position to concede. Don't get me wrong, I am extremely grateful for BB's initial inclusion in EVO2010, and I would be ecstatic to see CS make it in there. I think the fact that the EVO staff is considering taking CT out is because they DO give a shit about the BB community, and are acknowledging that if BB is going to be at EVO, it should be done RIGHT.
