  1. Something that I had come across on the Dream Cancel forums: I agree with most of this, and it looks like a good resource for the plethora of Tennesseans looking to get into KoF13. Also I got permission to work on Vice's Dream Cancel wiki page ^.^ http://dreamcancel.com/wiki/index.php?title=Vice_(XIII) If any of the people who do play KoF want to look at it, and maybe suggest something I'd appreciate it. Someone else put in the move descriptions which are all a bit weak/inaccurate, but I've mostly finished my work on her combo choices, and I'm hoping to add details in later.
  2. PARTICIPATION IN LOCAL TOURNAMENTS: BlazBlue CP: not out yet lolz, but yes when it is Guilty Gear: but, of course! KOF 13: absolutely! Suguri X: sure, why not Persona 4 Arena: nein Chaos Code: nope Other, please list: ABK side tournament would be lolzy and/or awesome, as would VSav WILL TRAVEL TO MAJORS TO PLAY IN TOURNAMENT OR PROMOTE MTNG. - probably not, depends on the price. I'm running on empty atm GENERIC INTEREST. CASUALS, BUT NO TOURNAMENT BlazBlue CP: yes Guilty Gear: yes KOF 13: yes Suguri X: yes Persona 4 Arena: yes Chaos Code: not really, but maybe Promote MTNG: this isn't a game! Other, please list: I playz the SF4 casuals, or any other game really.
  3. If by "wouldn't be too fond," you mean "would probably die if we tried," then yes, people probably wouldn't be too fond of the idea :P
  4. Thanks man! The tournament was really worth the trip, probably the best I've been to. I really loved that the rookies tournament gave me the chance to get a ton of matches in, where I otherwise would have been knocked out in a few rounds in the matchups I hardly had experience in before. It's really helped me become much more confident in my game, and I'm really beginning to enjoy the tournament setting in a way I haven't before. I suck at shoutouts (partially because I tend to forget names >_>), but umm... Thanks Kyle, for the great tournament! The effort you guys put into organizing it really showed. GG's, Circ! I learned alot fighting your Potemkin, and those casuals were hilarious. My Faust still has a long way to go, so I'm glad you put up with all of the ridiculousness. Zeth those sets we had were great, I hope your Bulleta gets strong enough that you'll destroy my Sasquatch the next time we fight. Also I really appreciate the ride up to Ohio, itwas not a ride I could've made on my own, especially at that time of night. Naimat, also thanks for the ride back, felt I had some great matches against all dem scary characters swinging dem massive swords at me and throwing crap at me. I'm definitely going to put some more work on my Faust for our rematch this weekend, and I absolutely can't wait for some KoF casuals! Klein it's great talking with you as always, and it was great discussing matches with you in the tournament. I'll be working on the Slayer matchup for this weekend too! Tad, I guess I didn't get a chance to face you this weekend, but it was great hanging with you anyway! You really carried our ass' in that 6v6. GG's to all of the Ohio people I fought both in tournament and casuals (if you happen to be checking this thread)! I felt like every person I fought was very amiable, and I learned something in every single match. Everyone seemed so ready to answer any questions I had, it was a great experience! GG's to the people I fought in P4U too! I honestly really wasn't even expecting to be able to play it this weekend. Perhaps one day I'll figure out how to fight the great Yu army. :P
  5. PSN: MrMinionman Main: Sasquatch Location: TN Here's hoping that my internet makes the game playable. I'd be happy to play with whoever, as long as the connection is feasible.
  6. I have a PS3 with Suguri, if you need an extra. Leveling up in Suguri will be sooo hard lol. Probs won't be prepared at all lol
  7. I'm probably going w/ Naimat & friends to Ohio next week, so then would be a good time. I have it on the PS3 w/ crappy connection, so it'd probably be hard to play online. and I'm a bit familiar with his mixups, though a bit unrefined with them ^.^ I typically just have trouble if they have a solid keepaway game.
  8. I'll be all over that VSav. @Kyle, I think I've got a good hold on character/basics (mainly because of how useful the VSav threads are), but I'm pretty excited to play you and see what I can improve on my Sas.
  9. All of those Jedah matches are hype as hell. For a game with supposedly large tier splits, some of the lower tier characters actually give me the most trouble (and Q-Bee). Lilith, Morrigan, and Jedah are absolute monsters in the right hands. @DarkRanger There are many people in this thread that are really excited about CP, perhaps you should check back then?
  10. *shrug* not sure then. He was on skype. Maybe his phone is dead.
  11. if you've been texting him to day, he's probably still sleeping :P
  12. there was a sequel released on the ps3 later iirc, and it's 1v1 in a circular arena. Think bullet hell fighter. There are various characters with different buwwets, lazars, etc. It's pretty hype, but there's alot to process in a match, and some of the characters are kinda bs imo :P. Still crazy fun.
  13. add mr.minionman (or minion? don't remember what name works) too :D a mtn skype chat sounds crazy. Also Cookeville played Starwhal... if that's nothing, then it's the hypest nothing ever XD. Though a few of our matches got a bit stalematey. Also I'd enter Sugari for a dollar, the game is fun.
  14. Wait, you aren't supposed to use DP's as a poke? But all those invincibility frames make it so safe!
  15. I'd be down for bowling. I'm sure we'd all get a kick from watching me throw a bowling ball at a 75 degree angle down the lane every time :P
  16. I think I worded that improperly, I knew that the heat didn't affect the C moves. They all have weird choices associated with them, so I was just interested in how their frame adv/disadv played a part. The change in the D between heat levels is pretty significant though. :o It just goes to show how important maintaining heat levels are in her offensive game (if it wasn't obvious enough already, but eh.). A little disappointed to hear about 6D/2D, but I suppose resetting pressure and throwing in an extra mixup would be pretty ridiculous, even at the cost of a heat level.
  17. Excited about the frame data. Finally get something new to theory-craft about that will help bide time for CP's release. Particularly interested in how the heat level affects the frame data on her D moves, and the C normals. Also lol @ the name of her Astral Heat.
  18. Also difficult characters are hell in online play
  19. Late to the party, but I'm pretty excited about her myself. Her moves seem to flow really well, and I also like the stability of ending combos with her drive for the hard knockdown. perks like a ground-traveling projectile, a non-dodgeable rushdown move (drive) , and a command grab super are icing on the cake. Having really enjoyed SF-Makoto's playstyle, I really dig the dash style movement, broken damage, and careful rushdown she had. Course the thing that made SF-Makoto really scary was her command grab, but I suppose we can't have everything. And despite being another blatant fan-service character, I still like both her style and VA, probably also for some of the same reasons I liked SF-Makoto.
  20. Lots of Bullet's in the casuals pktazn posted; made a good showing ^.^ I think she's probably not picked as often because she doesn't offer much more that the other rushdown style characters already had. She doesn't really look bad, just not incredibly unique, so people are not as willing to switch mains. Also this may have already been mentioned, but are 6D and 2D still punishable on block with higher heat levels?
  21. Yeah, I'm in Tret's boat concerning Final Round.
  22. eh, the Bullet-verse seems a bit dry. Is there anything particularly notable in the older vids (2/3 months or more) I might watch?
  23. Tret and I have been playing around with the game today. Rather fun, had an instant attachment towards Sasquatch.
  24. Cookeville is experiencing city-wide shut down after midterms, We apologize for the inconvenience. Also Hexagons.
