weird. I'm really curious how the anti air grab will work out; Especially since it's on Asterius. Charge move for the command grab still feels really weird for me though. Have to wonder how these changes will affect the gulp trap

I've felt like the Faust forums/wiki have been a little empty as of late, so I've been trying to flesh it out with more info. I hope noone else was planning to make a vid thread, just felt like it was a bit overdue. Started with a skeleton and vids from the start of version 1.11 on Goldenrody's channel, so this is definitely a W.I.P., and there will be more to come later. Got up to 6/15/2013 datewise, and I'm working on catching up to date, so I'll start looking into other sources after I finish with that. I'm actually interested in playing her for kof comparison too. I initially thought she'd have the dash-command grab thing going for her, but that was debunked when we got move data. Excited about her drive and a few of her other perks despite it, so I'm gonna try to make her stick anyway. And from what I've seen of her v. Zoner matchups, she has enough tools at her disposal to neutralize the threat to an extent, it's more of her matchup against other rushdowns that bothers me. And yeah, v. Tager, thats a good point. truth be told I never really thought of him as having weak anti airs, but it makes sense. From several of the matches I've seen though, every time Bullet tries for a pressure reset on the ground she usually loses hard for it. And I have the worse time conditioning grapplers lo >_>

If it's not literally stealing heat from the opponent, I suspect it might be more along the lines of getting more meter the more meter your opponent has.

@Arakune comment in video thread(think you should be posting here to comment on vids):Bullet looks to be a bit better off than Ragna there. Bullet has a few good things like M.Capture and a projectile of her own to get in, and I've noticed Lock-On to be real advantage for chasing down characters that rely on air mobility like Arakune. Speaking of the videos, that's a real mother load of matches. Lots of players making her look quite strong. Though Tager is looking like a problem match-up. I like that she can abuse Tager's mobility for free afterburners, but she has the typical rushdown's problem on having the get up close and personal with a grappler, which is never a good thing.

Mmmmm that's unfortunate I knew it didn't work for everything, but admittedly I didn't do too much testing on the matter. I didn't know about the knockdown after FRC GMU either, that's awesome. Unrelated, I've been filling out the move descriptions on Faust's page in the dustloop wiki, and would like to see them fleshed out before +R hits (though I haven't done anything on that page yet). I'll be the first to admit I'm not the most knowledgeable Faust player who could be doing it, so I'd greatly appreciate if someone would look over what I had written and maybe add something I didn't know about, or edit something that doesn't look right. I've written descriptions for most of the normals, and basic strengths and weaknesses, but I'm not to versed on the specific stuff for the specials so maybe I can call an assist there. When I get done writing stuff in for the AC page, I'd like to migrate much of the information to the +R page, so it'd be best if it were as accurate as possible from the get-go. Much thanks :D

Cannon Fodder Faust reporting

I figured this was a good place to ask, what's the best option in training mode to test frame traps in Blazblue? Kof had 1 Guard jump, but I don't see anything similar for this game.

I suppose I answered a bit in the other thread, but the answer is... sometimes :P It's usually pretty gimmicky, but if you don't use it often it can catch people off on a bad foot while being relatively safe. Good in conjunction with some items, but I wouldn't rely on it. If you use it raw it will run into the same sorta problem regular door mixups do, implying if they can jump forward and block it will nix most of the options.

I have a PS3 and a dual mod. tis a smooth transition.

The Scalpel pull FRC is exclusively there to bait bursts, it seems, and can be highly rewarding if pulled off right, but perhaps you might use it for a reset of sorts. Almost literally every opponent I face bursts right after you pull them in (every time they have meter for it too), so if you catch them bursting one in the first round (or in previous matches) you can nail them doing it again. Bomb Bag frc's only apparent function is if they somehow get too close to you when you are throwing it out, you can FRC to avoid taking the damage. So as an "abort mission" if nothing else. Bomb Bag on it's own puts you at an advantage anyway, so there's often no point, though the frc makes it easier to combo after the hit. Like the above, my favorite FRC's are for the door gimmicks and going my way, but Faust really doesn't have any that play a major role in his strategy. There's a large FRC window after his swim super that can be used to avoid taking damage (though the super isn't really good to be throwing out anyway), but that's really about it. You can learn them when you have the time, but you aren't losing much going without them. Faust really doesn't need his meter but for Rapid Cancels for some combos and Blowback attack to supplement his weak defense.

Ok, that'd be a good case... if everybody watched the cutscenes online. It's the exact same premise as looking up sparknotes for a book, or reading a movie synopsis. Anybody who doesn't want to ruin the experience is going to do it -_- As it stands though, I always felt like it could have been done better. The game design of "reward---unrelated gameplay---reward" didn't play very well at all in SSE. The level design was beyond boring, and only really had to do with the cutscenes in the locations. I think one of the big issues with it, was that you could get a better experience by watching the cutscenes alone. TBH a good game probably shouldn't be like that. :P With that said, I'm sure SSB4 will end up being a decent game regardless. At the end of the day, people play smash because it's the game where four nintendo characters can duke it out on some ridiculous stage, and chuck items at each other. And noone has said they are going to change that.

Very weird, but not surprising. In the end it's not like people buy the game for the cutscenes anyway. Though their perception is extremely skewed if they think people seeing cutscenes online will negatively effect sales. If anything, that was a big reason people got so excited about the game. It wasn't HD per se, but effect was brilliant. But whatever. Cutscenes mainly serve to bring in new players (more casuals etc). I don't expect the hype for Smash 4 will ever be nearly as big as it was for Brawl.

And random supers are hype anyway.

I heard mention that Tager can kara cancel his 720 with 2D, I was wondering if anyone knew if Bullet could do something similar with hers? I was thinking maybe with 3C or 2C but I'm not sure exactly how it works out.
