^Most of the Nintendo releases for the Gamecube were pretty hot. And talking PS2 Games, I'd shoe in Dark Cloud 2 as a closet classic. Mercenaries and Star Wars Battlefront II are both great 3rd Person shooters, Psychonauts definitely, and the KH series and Jak&Daxter series will always be fun

I've been looking at Tsubaki, Bang (old main), or I'm seriously considering working on Carl for CP. Carl got some nifty perks that I'm interested in, and my puppet character interest has not been fully satiated yet with Shadow Labrys. Unblockables are addicting.

Klein: Thanks for teaching me the basic stuff on GG. Faust mirrors are insane. I was only lukewarm interested about the upcoming GG release, but at this point I absolutely want the game. Next tournament expect a crappy Faust player coming in with a paper bag on his head ready for action(and/or trollin) Milln: I'm sure you weren't playing your best in the casuals we played, but I'm glad I've improved at least enough to get in one or two victories. Be sure to body me in the next P4A tournament (I'll sign up next time, I promise!). @KOF if I realized the scene was dying I would have definitely signed up. I'm still very much interested in the game, but I took a break from it to learn P4A and was totally expecting to go 0-4 if I entered it in KoB. I'm going to continue playing it, even if it melts down to a bunch of casuals (which we should play sometime), and I sincerely hope that you give it one more shot for the roster. Totalninja (not sure if you are even on dustloop): Strange coincidence on the player names, surprised to learn there were 2 ninjas here. Glad we could meet up again, and actually got a chance to play, I have my work set out on the labyrs matchup. :P The other Labyrs player I fought (sorry I don't remember your name!): GG's man. It was a nice break playing against something other then Bane's teddie. Despite the snowbally nature of the Slab v Lab matchup, I still enjoyed it, and hope we get the opportunity to fight again next time. To the list of players I didn't get a chance to play because my social skills suck/ or not enough time/ whatever: Even if I didn't get the variety of matches I would have like, I feel like I learned much just by watching this tournament. There are still of slew of players I'd like to try my hand against (Astaroth, Star, Volpe, Woz and a few others I can't think to name), but I'm sure I'll get the opportunity to eventually. It's always satisfying to be able to come to these things to find that there is an actually a scene for fighting games in Tennessee. If anyone wanted some Slab matchup experience (not as good as Woz, but I try :P), feel free to ask!

I still haven't figured out anything worth watching with Slab. Kinda just have a midscreen BnB foundation as is. atm just trying to find something interesting I can do with Titanamachia, though Uri will probably have me beat on any of that :P

I can steal tret's converter for you to borrow so you don't have to rely on Star's. Not sure if he'll be attending. And I'm not sure if I can help you with the ride, Jackie's car is a nightmare with just 3 people in it (course decision is totally his either way i think i can -survive- one more in the clown car). Maybe there is someone else coming from/near Cookeville who can bring you?

^Nice! @Adelheid there are so many strange things about shadow labrys. Makes me wonder where she was on the development track... Love the data in the wiki about the Guard Cancel btw :P. Unrelated to both above comments, I've become somewhat reliant on her 2B. It's so meaty and rewarding I'm starting to throw it out any time my opponent is airborne. It's especially fun to get FC's off of people using overhead specials like Yu's or Naoto's.

Not sure if this has been noted, but was testing a few things with a friend, and Slab can't chain any two moves together safely without the possibility of getting dp'ed. And if the first hit of g.axe is instant blocked, Teddie (and i assume everyone else) can punish the second hit with a dp. Suppose that isn't so bad though, considering how many holes Asterius can fill...

What combo's are you guys getting after Massive Slaughter? The best meterless I've gotten is ... > j.B > jc.A > 236A for 2654 damage, which is good enough damage, but doesn't seem to reset the vortex.

After all, there's nothing easier then spamming B+D :P Yeah, it's not as absurd as the Ragna DP's clashing, but I still thought you'd enjoy it.

@JackieChandler Not sure you've seen this, but I think it's relevant to your interests. :P Also concerning the the combo thing, I'd have to A: actually learn a combo worth showing, and B: record it at your place.

Lolz I wish. So far my ranked experience goes something like this: Is the opponent Mitsuru, Yu, or Kanji? loss. Akihiko? good chance. Anyone else? fair chance, unless... Spamming DPs/AoA? loss. That particular Akihiko was playing way too defensively, so I wouldn't count it as a huge victory but was still pretty happy about. Still got aways to go. :P Speaking of which anyone on PSN want to play a few? (or Cookevillites) Wanting to get the snot beaten out of me :O

For the most part it feels like the match is over if I reach the corner without burst, so I've mostly been working on playing as conservatively without reaching the edge. I mainly feel like Slabyrs course of action depends on what she does which move she use with Asterius (mainly 2C, 5C for defense; 8C, 236C, or 5C for offense) but against Mitsuru the only way I've managed to get Asterius to cover an approach is with the 25 meter... Anyway, thanks for the advice! if you have anything you want to add later, I'll take any I can get. For the most part I'll try working on safe jump setups in training mode and more refined blockstring/pokes and see how that goes. It's nice hearing multiple opinions on it regardless.

Haven't seen this mentioned anywhere else, but I think Yosuke's Moonsault has some amounts of invincibility frames. Was in a match vs a Yosuke, and had a situation where I was using Titanmachia out of a combo, and just before the fullscreen hit went off, he used Moonsault dodged the hit and killed me. :[ I did save this replay unlike my previous issue (though I don't have a recording device), and this is the only conclusion I could reach watching the replay, unless there is someway you can dodge the hit.

Tried it, it works , though barely EDIT: also, just beat my first S ranked player in ranked :D Given it's what I'd consider my best matchup (Akihiko), but still. Course, thereis still alot I'm not doing properly; namely resets and anything resembling a decent combo in a match, but still.

Yeah, can't say I haven't noticed that For the life of me I can't seem to find any safe string vs Mitsuru whatsoever. Generally Asterius can cover the recovery on most of her moves, But vs Mitsuru it seems like nearly every single ounce of pressure I try to exert is dp'ed, and anything I try to do with Asterius that isn't EX is poked out. Most of the damage I've managed to get on Mitsuru comes from counterhit 5B's , DP's, and seemingly lucky j.B's...
