Off of dust you just kinda wanna do the driver loops but if you can't just going into 2H(2)>5H>6H>623S>bnb tends to do the most damage there.

So from the sound of things, we may not get to start until 8-8:30 pm. That may be a little late for you, what with having to drive all the way back for another 2 hours. Up to you though, if you feel up to it then let me know. If the opportunity arises I may do another one of those at an earlier time so if you feel it's a pain don't feel like you won't ever get another chance btw. I don't plan on stopping. :D

Sometimes you'll be too far for the 5H to combo if you do cS so do 2S instead. Also, instead of 2P you can 2K in that and it'll still pick up.

I'm in Ansonia and I'm playing basically everything I mentioned I'd bring with me above. My main game will always be BB though. Oh and I only have one system and one monitor so if we get too many more people coming some may need to bring extras lol. Also keep in mind that this still is in the "maybe" state. Will post updates.

Yeah one of the overall "system changes" was something along the lines of "it's easier to get moves to be f1 reversals now". It's for everyone.

I may be the only one but I have a (much) easier time dp-ing with the animation that happens near instantly than with the one that takes slower to happen. I dunno what it is. Prolly just that it happens more often so you get more in-match-practice. You become accustomed to one timing so adjusting to a second one feels "wrong". They're fixing that in the update though, so there's that.

With four monitors and 3 tourney games that leaves one monitor available for a fourth system. Good thing I have physical copies of most games so we can put them in that fourth ps3. Hopefully no capcom people try to strongarm the final monitor for a duplicate setup of one of their games though lol. Honestly, bringing the monitor with me is kind of an impossibility. Of the people who did that in socal, all used a suitcase and going to casuals with a suitcase is kind of...much XD. Also a small update, it's looking like I may just hang out with Vyers and Steve and Seth after all so I'm probably skipping this, though we "may" do a mini-casuals at my place this Friday, so if you wanna come by too Jeremy (or anyone really) that'd be sweet.

j6H whiffs crouchers so if your foe is crouching it can whiff but if that's the case you wanna notice it and react by doing something else like a jS to hit them since if they're crouching they can't block an overhead. If you're whiffing it against a standing foe, just time it differently. Different chars have different get-up-timing so you have to adjust to who you're doing it against if you want it to meaty.

2 hours is a long drive but it depends on how long you will stay. This thing goes from 5-11 so if you come as they start and stay the entire duration it should be worth it. Then again those hours of driving is different for everyone. If you're all by yourself it can be quite monotonous I assume. Maybe come with someone else?

+R is the only game I can use my main in so until HOS is in Xrd Xtend or whatever they call it I'm playing that lol.

That's good, the more setups the more varied games we can play so that frees up my setup to run something else. I plan on playing all 5 of the games I listed if I find anyone willing. The more stuff we expose people to the better. Oh and my system has +R and Vampire Savior in it too so that's actually 7 games.

Ahhhh! That's what it was. I thought they had like informal casuals only today or something. Dang it XD. Well at least we clarified it before I ended up going there and finding emptiness. XD (also, was wondering, on their facebook page they say they need Xrd but have ps3s but then they say to bring a ps3 with Xrd on the HDD, are they not in need of Xrd copies to put in the ps3s they have or something? like, there's a logical hole in that. Either way I'll likely bring my ps3 and physical versions of bb xrd dfc uniel and ah3lm lol)

Is the hall of gaming not the event in Wallingford? I was under the impression they're one and the same.

Ahh, maybe I can tag along for the thing next weekend then, I'll see how it goes. And if you have ps+ you can get uniel for 23 bucks.

Jeremy said he's going to a gathering this Saturday on twitter so hopefully I can get a ride to that so we shall get to play. Uniel came out to the americas today so maybe it'll have some life to it too. (though I'm sure most of us just imported it)

If you whiff 236K you're in trouble, yrc it if possible, that's kinda it. The 41236 specials lose to 2S and 236K. You wanna poke her out of it.

If you do silly 214A/B moves your foe can always just jump and airgrab you on reaction anyways unless you hold 4 and do a pre-emptive jH which of course is also an issue if your foe does not go for the grab. You can always just yrc the 214A/B to gain the upper hand as well as throw a voltic dein to bait AAs (and then confirm it with an airdash into falling jS into gorrilions of damage) All in all it depends on what your read is in this situation, some stuff beats some other stuff but loses to yet different stuff but if the risk is worth taking or not depends upon a myriad of factors such as positioning, matchups, meter/health/burst situations, etc. Ultimately, playing it safe/smart entails avoiding this risky approach in most situations.

I finally am settled in a house so I should be able to join up now. I'm in Ansonia. I play everything airdasher (even arcana heart and dengeki bunkou) so while bb and gg are my main focus atm I'm up for everything. Also I'm up for smaller gatherings like those of a few years ago in Fraga's place etc.

Sin has a few really good tools but overall he's pretty meh so they smartly looked at the bigger picture. 236K by itself won't win you a match, people just wait for your food to run out and then pressure you when you can't even DP if you overuse 236K.

It's fine, we got those preorder goodies. I got a whole magazine with beautiful art and a lens cleaner with shana/mikoto/kirito on it lol. Also, having the game for all those months ahead of people is worth something too lol.

6D is not frame-1 guardpoint any more so if you do a real meaty I get counterhit trying to 6D on wakeup. 2D is faster and safer but not jump cancellable on block any more, either. Basically, they nerfed his defense even more for buffing his reward off of smaller confirms.
