  1. Yeah GGs man. You did good on the offensive but seemed to be stuck in defense mode and not really have a way to get out. You did way better once you started counter-assaulting more though. (and yeah, Bang 3C is really good vs Litchi, look out for it more lmao)
  2. Welp, I see. Honestly, I think roman cancels would scare people off way more than force breaks lol. Take Slayer's BBU for example, people who couldn't do links for crap still do BBU 4 times in a row and they could do footsies and mixups. I feel losing that, he's actually considerably LESS beginner friendly lol. In the end, this is a new game so I'll just have to wait and see how it works I guess. Having never played Reload isn't doing me any favors either since when people liken it to it all I see is a big question mark inside smoke, lol.
  3. I think it's not quite as bad as GGs stigma but it's still kinda there. People see Rachel or Carl do things and get intimidated. On the other hand, BB has brought a lot of anime fans into fighting games, people who'd just gotten the game cause of the story who then stuck with it and ended up learning it, so I believe it has done its share, whatever small one it may be. My local scene has collectively imported CP actually and with it there was a rise in participation. People who'd quit back in CS1-2 times returning back to it, people who had been playing marvel and SF for this time. At the same time, I see these people kinda hampered by their being used to lenient games like marvel so some problems arise due to it. A prime example would be 623 inputs being overwritten by 236 inputs in CP. People used to doing 623 as 6236 are getting 236s and are messing up and become frustrated. Also, I feel the way mvc3 works in enabling unsafe approaches being safe through application of assists has hampered these players ability to rushdown assist-less and be safe while doing so, which I think more time with the game will fix. I also see things such as people waking up mashing throws, thinking they work like in marvel. If you know BB you know how weak throws are. It's just...not gonna work to do wakeup grab as a reversal. At the same time, I feel kinda hesitant in correcting these people too much. I will give one tip here and there and if they don't do it or don't ask for more, I'll kinda stop and let them do what they do. The ones who wanna improve, ultimately, will ask me for advice, so while my enthusiasm may be useful, all it can do for some people I fear is scare them off. I think this is kinda what people here (the ones complaining about the kinds of players I'm speaking about) are frustrated about. They have all this positive energy which simply isn't being appreciated or allowed to do the good it potentially could and seeing this huge wasted opportunity is understandably frustrating. And all these people there are actually freaking good lol. I went there to try using brand new characters and I expected to have to hold back to not seem like I was preying on beginners but I barely won most of the time and lost a few too. Oh and, all of them were Japanese. No westerners who own this game yet would really go there (unless they're using chars they've never used before like I was, I guess, lol) so who knows how that lobby will be come US release.

  5. I have checked back 30some pages but no mention so I'll have to ask. What about Slayer's BBU? Is it not in the game? I saw some vids with him used by actual people but nobody did it. If you've done it or seen it, I'm interestead in hearing opinions about it. Pilebunker seemed somewhat underwhelming in range and effect so I hope it's not the same story here too.
  6. Just being in the corner isn't enough, you need to be as close as possible to get 5Cs hitbox hit them at the 18 frame mark. (which is when his hand is directly above his head)
  7. I don't remember exactly how much but it builds enough so that most of the time you'd be able to ashura in the end. As for the 5b 5c thing on fatal, it's a distance thing, not a char thing. If you just do 3Cfc>2B>6B>dash>2b you should be able to do it on everyone, it's just not optimal in that way. Also you can do 5Cfc>CT>5B>2B>6C>J623B>5B>5C too.
  8. While it doesn't build all 75 meter which is needed for it, it does build a good chunk of it.
  9. I think the extra damage from the new combo is worth the difficulty. It's like a free DD ender piled in basically lol.
  10. Eh, all the more space for us to shine :D. I don't mind, I was a Bang player in CT, this is nothing lol. I wanna see all the Jins trying to outjin eachother for a speck of the spotlight and laugh while hovering from my scarf.
  11. I actually found a better combo so just forget about that and do this! 3Cfc>2B>923B>5B>5C>CT>2B>5B>JC>J22A>J2C>J236A>5A>5B>SJA>JB>JC>J236C>Ashura (if you add up poison damage it's about 7k)
  12. Just take up an empty cabinet. You won't be made to wait for more than a minute.
  13. I just do 96236D, it's quick enough really if you input it tightly. Also super jumping helps with this too. As for the C nail, input it as 8236C.

  15. Your issue is that you're looking for player rooms rather than playing in the arcade lobby. Do that instead. On a personal experience, I've had an overwhelmingly awesome experience with this game's online mode. Out of 900~ matches, I can only recall a single case of a 2-bar being very very very very laggy, which the other person left out of during the intro. I believe this is an issue with the game not properly displaying the connection number occasionaly (or that person had all the torrents in the universe running at the same time).

  17. I guess it's matchup based or something. I just meaty 2D or something and DPing that is generally a bad idea lol. You should be able to get a 6C with Mu and a 5D with Nu I think if you block it on the ground. If you're in the air, just fake him out of it, especially with Nu you should be able to do that and make it relatively safe with j2D.
  18. Hehe, this actually worked prior to Maragidyne with Bang and his umbrella super. If you threw a B nail the nail would continue to travel during the super flash so the explosion would magically happen once the super flash ended even though the nail was still airborn when the DD begun.
  19. Aww, Omni is fun to fight. A Kagura who doesn't spam DPs is so rare. Oh and I love that projectile super used as a punish, I wish more people would use it lol.
  20. Is there some kind of database with all the colors and skills and what each corresponds to? I was red for ever and I thought it had something to do with my connection, which was weird since I had a great online experience with this game.
  21. Try the online lobbies. People generally don't visit rooms unless they want private sessions.

  23. You just...have to neutrally wake up and block lol. If you keep trying to jump out or roll or quick get up you'll be reset over and over. Just neutral teck and block XD. I think I reset you with 2A at least 6 times that last round X.x.
  24. Yep, Bang Gokugami here. :D I remember your Rags, try to run into me less from full screen. That's prime poisoning time. You kinda need to be defensive in this matchup or you'll just run into 12 nails worth of 300+800 damage each and then be one or two good hits away from death lol.
