  5. Hoping the NA release isn't too far from the JP release; NA P4U was only 2 weeks after the JP version. Hoping this is the case again.
  6. In the first game, xx > 214B > AOA OMC > 214214C was used in the corner. Midscreen, you could have done xx > OMB > 214AB > AOA OMC > 214214C.

I'm aware that you can still combo into it (I didn't know that comboing off of it was still possible, so thanks!), but I would rather find a combo route where SB Wail isn't used as a combo ender. If we're talking about "optimization" and things of that nature, it would be best to combo into SB Wail early on in a combo to utilize 1HSM. I'm still iffy on how comboing into command grabs work in this version (it's possible to combo them on frozen/spinning/aerial opponents, but I don't know much else), so maybe it's not even possible. I just hope that someone tries SB Wail mid combo so my expectations are assuaged . Edit: I never really thought about it until now, but jC cross up got pseudo-buffed since CH jC causes floorbounce now.

  9. I really, really love this analysis. Good stuff! In regards to the SB Wail combo, what are the requirements to combo into command grabs in this version? I know that in P4U, the opponent needed to be in spin-state, but I think that was taken out, right? Perhaps you might be able to combo in the corner as one of the earliest hits of a combo (to save 1HSM). 214214C > 5B was possible in P4U at least, so I don't see why stuff > 214214[CD] > 5B > stuff wouldn't work.
  10. FN1 & FN2 are only used in training/challenge mode as far as I know. They don't have a use in actual vs. gameplay. If your stick has 8 buttons though, you could easily fit all four buttons, + 2 macros, + FN1/2 if you really wanted to. However, I would imagine that playing on stick would eliminate the need for button macros.
  11. As far as I know, DLC is region locked. You would have to buy (or use the code which comes with the NA version) Terumi again to use him. The same would go for any other DLC.

Can't multiquote on my phone, so I guess this will suffice: Based solely on the wording of the translation, it would mean that only after maragidyne is completed will Thanatos return to Elizabeth. jC > same spot maragidyne should still be possible. What wouldn't be possible is something like xx > omb > maragidyne > aerial hama (since omb raises Thanatos slightly in the air). It's not a big difference imo (I could also be wrong and the change means that Thanatos doesn't linger after he throws the flames). In regards to RWA's query, I don't think anything will change much for Elizabeth. She's just (assumingly) getting her damage back. Nothing about her ability to play neutral changes, and, at least in my opinion, that's where her problems are. It will be easier for her to win though, since she'll need to hit the opponent less. Regardless, I'll reserve total judgement until I see the patch in action. As an aside, 214AB > tk.236AB has been confirmed for being the baller combo route. Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk

  15. Have you ever played offline? Methinks that part of your problem is the fact you're playing online (the netcode of CP isn't that great). It could also be that you need to grind out your combos/etc in training mode. Online win/loss ratio shouldn't really mean anything either. If someone beats up on scrubs all day, and they end up with a 90% WL, that doesn't make them "good" at the game. It just means they beat bad players a lot. Regardless, try to find players around your "level". Use the netplay/offline matchmaking threads to find people.
  16. It probably means as it says: Thanatos moves further forward. Thanatos always moved forward (albeit slightly) when doing 2C.
  17. I'm legitimately curious: do you mean busted because you were stacking status ailments, or for some other reason? I wanna know why you believe so. The patch comes out on the 24th iirc. The combo I'm referring to is jB > 5B > 2AB > garu elevator > 2A > 5B > 5C > 2C > 214B > AOA OMC > wail. Does 6.8k, or if you got jB FC, it's like 7.2k I think. Garu is Elizabeth's best combo route. You gotta learn it, man. I'm so happy that this forum is alive with actual gameplay discussion btw.
  18. You're not wrong. Though we did get improved neutral from vanilla to this version, I still want more. Like having awakening version maragidyne outside of awakening (I still believe that a lot of Elizabeth's normals aren't too good though). At least we're getting DAMAGE back in this version. I can't wait to cheese people out with falling jB into 7k again. Woooooo ~
  19. If I'm correct in my line of thinking, then this change prevents Elizabeth from being DP'd out of Randomizer after she has "caught" the opponent. It seems ASW wanted to address Elizabeth's combo routes more than anything. With the exception of 2D/214C/D/Randomizer, all of these changes seem to really only affect how she does damage. The change to j236A is kinda hilarious though; I always assumed that if you were going to shoot Zios in the air, you were doing it close to the ground anyway (as to lessen the recovery since you're landing faster). Oh well. At least we (assumingly) have garu loops back/combos off of 236A wallsplat. All in all though, I have to agree with TheArm here. While changing damage is nice, I would rather get an improved neutral game. Where's the change to reduce the recovery of 5B on whiff ?

  23. Last time I netplayed on XBL was in December lol, good change of pace from PSN! GGs to Radoric/Dinotail/Twincows. I'm surprised that you didn't run Narukami, Radoric. Do you think that Chie does better against Liz than Narukami? Or are you just trying to level up your Chie? I kinda wanted to get bodied by Narukami 5B lol (btw are you going to ECT?).
