  1. Is there some sort of trick to doing Demitri's Midnight Pleasure? I can't seem to get the input to work for me at all.
  2. ^If you want to go to arrive in Manhattan rather than Brooklyn due to flexibility, what would be stopping you? Only issue I would think of is taking public transit to Next Level, but it's not that hard to figure out honestly. There're usually travel-savvy police in the train stations willing to help out. There's also other shit to do in Manhattan, more so than in Brooklyn I would argue, so if you're staying for an extended period, I suppose Manhattan is the better option (though it's a bit more costly). By the way, is there a Popeyes or something near NL? I don't wanna travel all the way to Atlantic Ave for some fried chicken. Help a brother out.
  3. That is the inherent nature of gimmicks honestly. Once someone has seen a lot that Elizabeth has to offer, they'll come to expect a lot of it. The bufu > 5C reset is just a variation of the SB zio > 5C reset. That reset works because 5C is a discreet way to keep your opponent in the air as they tech. You could even do something like FC stuff > 2C > 5C > j.D, or even stuff > 5B (opponent is in air) > 5C > j.D. So long as the opponent is in the air, 5C > j.D will catch them on backward, forward, and neutral tech. I can check that j.C thing tomorrow, it sounds interesting. If you were going for the j.D reset, you would be air turned, right? Wouldn't j.C not hit then (assuming Thanatos spawns on you as he does with j.D)? If they get hit with j.C at that, the only combo options are falling j.C CH > omc or falling j.C FC > omc. It's harder to confirm.
  4. In my opinion, Elizabeth's neutral game is based around controlling the space with normals and some specials. A lot of players like to use backwards IAD j.B in neutral to keep their opponent away since it has a good hitbox, and it's active for a bit. Other normals of choice include 5B & 5C/2C. I like to use 5A/2A staggers in my pressure as well. I suppose the best way to put it is that as Elizabeth, you want your opponent to make mistakes while keeping yourself safe. You can use things like 5C, 2C (OMC) and 2D to catch your opponent doing things. Capitalize off their behaviors. If you want a more in-depth rundown of what to do, you can always check out the Liz wiki's strategy section, here.
  5. GGs Powerstar7, Domo, and other people. That Kanji instant kill to bait the gold burst was GODLIKE. Holy shit.
  6. With your opponent's back completely against the corner, you can cross them up using j.B while remaining in front of them. On it's last hit, j.B actually hits behind Elizabeth if you do a backwards IAD before inputting j.B. Visual example. I feel I must apologize for dropping the combo, recording gives me a bit of input lag.
  7. Bace (Elizabeth) matches recorded by Blackstar. Perhaps I should post some recent gameplay of myself.
  8. Can you not come Saturday?
  9. In regards to combo theory involving 2B > j.B > j.236D loops, I don't believe that they're the optimal path on FC anymore. The P2 of both 2B and j.B are being used after the initial hit for a total of 200 P2. 2A and 236D (aerial and grounded) have the same P2 of 100. Basically, I am to believe that confirming FC hits into 2A > 236D loop is more beneficial than doing the 2B > j.B > j.236D loop. You would end up being able to do another garu using the 2A loop as you had not prorated the combo so heavily by adding additional P2 values using j.B. While I haven't given this extensive testing (I plan to soon), I think that, in theory, you should be able to squeeze out extra damage using 2A > 236D off of whatever FC confirm. Of course it's a more difficult combo route than 2B > j.B > j.236D, and it's plausible to opt for the easier combo route so you get guaranteed damage rather than going for a more difficult combo at the sake of dropping it. Food for thought of course, but I'll definitely see where this can go.
  10. I don't mean to bring this Lugia argument back up, but what of this, then? Rachel was blocking high (though admittedly she was crouching for like .5s beforehand) here.
  11. Lugia hits mid, since Kaqn blocked it standing. I'm not sure about Leith being + though.
  12. I think Duo Bios lasts long enough for 2 or 3 crush triggers. I've also seen RYO use CT while being covered by Ignis 6D so he couldn't be punished. I suppose in theory it's possible to create an unblockable with CT + Ignis.
  13. GGs Pssych, Kobayashi, Hikaru (was that your name? I dunno) and anyone else. Oddly enough, I have to pick Liz to win against Mitsuru. My Yu isn't strong enough to bait all the DPs yet. I messed up that burst bait though lol, blocking a burst and then hitting j.C like an idiot. You haven't played in a while, Kobayashi? You seemed kinda rusty. I expected you to body me.
  14. So a friend of mine brought over DS: Resurrection and I had a bit of fun playing it. Quite interested in Demitri, but I'm not 100% sure about what the gameplan is. Just constant setups into grab?
  15. GGs to Kite0. Next to Chie, Yu is probably the most fraudulent character on this game.
  16. GGs ChaosRage & Rybuster/GG to SummonedSwords. Admittedly I'm kinda salty that I dropped my SB.Zio input in that lag. Too salty to want to play more games. Got something to do, anyway.
  17. Alright, I put in FF13 because there were no rooms, but I'll switch games. Edit: lol, you gotta put connection restrictions on the room, man. I don't want to play the laggy connections .
  18. Anyone trying to play some early morning matches?
  19. GGs Dante, Twolink, Akashi, etc. Sorry for the lag, Twolink. Dunno what happened there. BGs to that Akihiko in my room who decided that it was a grand idea to leave his kinect mic on. Next time, I'm just gonna kick you. It's annoying.
  20. Gonna wait for someone to say this was already common knowledge or whatever, but since it wasn't posted here: Mori scoops Mitsuru out of EX/B Droit (didn't test A version, but it probably does too). If you 236C/D before Droit touches you, you'll beat it cleanly on CH also. I'm kinda glad to know that I don't have to let that shit rock anymore; I was always under the impression that we had nothing to stop it.
  21. I thought Melty HD got put on hold because Type-Moon started working on some anime based around one of the Aozaki sisters.
  22. Ironically, there's a hotel around the block from Next Level. It's called King's Hotel - apparently, the rates are varying.
  23. 2C ToD combo After the first 2C, if you do mind charge and do another 2C, it'll even kill Kanji. Pretty much, it's a burst + 50 meter + a chunk of health for a combo that'll kill anyone. Good stuff.
  24. Okay, I may be losing my mind here, but did the video thread get moved or something? Can't seem to find it.
  25. Hopping on for some mashing adventures. Edit: GGs to everyone I played. Feels like I can actually play this game again. @Kanji (forgot your name, Raccoon something?): Empty jump into grab is so godlike. I was admittedly mindfucked. @Dante: The best thing to do against Liz is not to tech. You wouldn't have gotten hit by most of those resets if you hadn't teched to be honest with you.
