  1. Double post to give everyone an update. Yukiko's frame data is now available for everyone to see. I have also added that information to the wiki page recently as well.
  2. Double post to mention a problem with the wiki on P4U/P4A frame data: Example - SMP is added with "cancel" tag, while "p1" tag is oddingly assigned Cancel, "p2" tag adds to P1, and "smp" adds to P2. Does anyone know why this problem happens?
  3. Yeah, I guess you have a point there. Thanks for noting that error, I have since re-recorded and reuploaded the video to show Narukami actually blocking it, as well as another one done post-patch.
  4. Unlimited Agidyne's during Fire Break cooldown - Before v1.01 patch and after v1.01 patch. This video is uploaded to show a visual representation of the "Using Fire Break with Agidyne will keep the unblockable property for the Agidyne fireball for the remainder of the match." for the Strategies & Tips thread here. There are two different videos, one that is done before the v1.01 patch, and one done after it, and I apologize if the quality is bad.
  5. Well, that sucks. I guess I have to take out that tip. Thanks for letting me know on this update, its a shame that it has to go.
  6. ggs to DemonWindBomb for that match we had earlier and to those in ranked matches.
  7. CST and EST registrations are now complete, but backups are still welcome in case anyone drops out. This tournament is now open for all PST and MST players as of today. Make sure to register while you can. :3
  8. Looks perfect. Thanks a bunch Hex. :D
  9. How to deal with Kanji's DP based on my notes:
  10. Sure thing. I will update the topic to have you help out with the PST/MST time half of the tournament. Be sure you send friend requests to those who are participating in the PST/MST half of it. I hope to see you participate in the PSN ranbats anytime we have them. But I thought you quit P4U? Or was that only on XBL?
  11. That's really cool. Thanks for sharing this tip, I guess I will put it to good use next time I try to combo into Maragidyne. Truth be told, I never really bothered to combo into Maragidyne myself, but this tip will help me find a creative way to do so.
  12. 6/16 Yokohama Freedom Random 3on3 reuploaded by me. Nisshi (NA) vs Natakishi (YK) and Onii (EL) vs Natakishi (YK) from part 1. Muma (NA) vs Natakishi (YK) and Fujinami (CI) vs Natakishi (YK) from part 2. EDIT: PSN Match replay - [09/19/2012] Mikel93 (YK) vs. McSwiggy (EL)
  13. Thread created, thanks for the awesome feedback everyone. :D http://www.dustloop.com/forums/showthread.php?15073-PSN-Ranbats-1-October-6-2012-(Saturday) - Saturday, October 6, 2012 at 8:30 PM EST/7:30 PM CST. All other ranbats after this will take place on Sundays. Spread the word, everyone.
  14. Welcome to the start of the PSN Persona 4 Arena ranbat series! All rules and information about it are found below. If you also play on XBL, check out iora's ranbats. This will be open to all CST/EST and PST/MST players, I will organize the CST/EST half, while Scrub Saibot will organize the PST/MST half of it. COMPLETED! Check out the matches that made the stream from its archives! http://www.twitch.tv/midnightchannel/videos Information: - Date: October 13, 2012 - Time: 8:30 PM EST/7:30 PM CST (6:30 PM MST/5:30 PM PST) - Player Limit: 32 (16 for each) - Character Lock: Yes, but you can change your character between tournaments. - Format: Singles, Double Elimination, 2 of 3 Matches, 2 of 3 Rounds up until grand finals, which will be 3 of 5 rounds. Point Structure: NOTE: We will use the Gamechariot ranking system as the base for these ranbats. 1st - 10 points 2nd - 7 points 3rd - 5 points 4th - 2 points Participation - 1 point Rules: 1). Please do not skip the intro, this will contribute greatly to lag. 2). Character switching in between matches will not be tolerated. 3). Instant Kills and EX moves are allowed. 4). Dropping out midway through this tournament will not be tolerated at all. This will result in you being banned from the next ranbat. 5). Check in starts at 8:00 PM EST/7:00 PM CST and ends at the time the tournament starts. If you don't check in before then, you will be disqualified from this ranbat. 6). If you are eliminated, you can watch the later matches of the tournament that are being streamed. Communication: 1). Mics are not allowed. 2). I will provide a PSN Chat Room for the tournament, but be sure to leave when you are having your match. 3). Please do not talk too much on PSN chat, only results and hosting can be discussed. Disconnection policy: - Due to how wonky PSN can be at times, disconnections will result in an honorary rematch. - If the disconnected player does not sign in again within a 10 minute time limit, they will be disqualified from the current ranbat. - If one of the players continue to disconnect, they will be disqualified until the next ranbat unless they fix their connection issues. - Do not complain to me about the lag, but you can report connection issues. Tips on Avoiding Lag: - Do not skip the intro. - Do not use a mic. - Leave the Text Chat BEFORE starting your match, leaving the Text Chat during the match (Character Select, Vs. Screen or during the intro) will mess up the synchronization and cause lag. - Do not stream videos during the match (YouTube, Twitch.tv, etc.) - Do not send messages (or go to the XMB) during the match (Character Select, Vs. Screen or during the intro) this will also mess up the synchronization. Bracket: http://challonge.com/dlpsnp4uranbats1 Streaming: These are the people who will provide streaming for the ranbats, recording of matches are also welcome. 1). 15. That is one creative way to do combos with SB Maragi. I'd use SB Maragi as a combo starter with the D pillar hitting the opponent from below, followed by Yukiko's fans or 5D Persona attacks and the C pillar buffer after you dash if the D pillar detonates on your opponent. Another useful tactic for SB Maragi is when you are using it to go under a full-screen projectile like Narukami's Ziodyne and Elizabeth's Maziodyne, the recovery on it will help you guard against those projectiles after you summon the fireballs, but be sure to buffer the C pillar after you attack your opponent with your fans to extend your combo. You can also dash after the D pillar attacks the opponent, but be sure you use 6B because your fans will go fast enough to reach your opponent.
  16. Yeah, if its B Maziodyne, you may have to take a risk on using 9D if Yukiko is falling down the air after the lightning appears from below her. 6D is also helpful against Maziodyne, but you should do it before Elizabeth activates it, if done properly, you can take a card away from her. Anyway, I have updated the first post to include the verdict of this matchup and my notes on it with their tools and how they will respond to it.
  17. This sounds like an interesting project. Good luck Eevee, I can't wait to see the final product of it myself.
  18. I guess you have a point there. IRC can make things a bit complicated due to people needing to be on both their PS3 and computer at the same time. People on DL using different nicknames from their PSN ID and DL username can confuse people too, and Jyo, helping with the West Coast half of the ranbats will be appreciated as well. Also, Saturday at 8:30 EST will be the start time of the first ranbat and Sundays at 8:00 EST for ranbats after that. I am going to start this on either September 29th or October 6th, but opinions on the date are welcome.
  19. I never noticed this myself, but I tried it and it works. This will easily ease my frustration and nervousness when fighting Kanji players online. Thanks a bunch for that tip, I have noted that in the OP.
  20. Sorry if I was late on this, but you're very welcome. I've updated the first post to include the matchup format for details on their respective tools and how they have an advantage against them thanks to the information posted in this thread. I have yet to start on the verdict, and corrections can be made to what has been filled out thus far.

  22. Yeah, its fun, but it can sometimes get tiring. I finally got some wins with her just recently thanks to new strategies I will share soon on the matchup threads.
  23. GG's to those I played in ranked today. I'm finally glad to see that my skills with Yukiko are beginning to improve.
  24. I finally got back to P4U after a week of absence (I've been playing Bayonetta that week, btw). I've finally updated the matchup threads to include the format I've created for them. I'm nearly finished with the Yukiko mirror match and Yukiko vs. Elizabeth threads. I just need to get the verdict done for those two, then I can move on to the rest.
