GG's to those I played in ranked today. I'm finally glad to see that my skills with Yukiko are beginning to improve.
-
I finally got back to P4U after a week of absence (I've been playing Bayonetta that week, btw). I've finally updated the matchup threads to include the format I've created for them. I'm nearly finished with the Yukiko mirror match and Yukiko vs. Elizabeth threads. I just need to get the verdict done for those two, then I can move on to the rest.
-
First post updated to include the new tips that are submitted by Ryd' and Choysauce. From this point on, I will like it for people who have questions submit those to the Q&A thread. I want this thread to be for people to submit their tips and tricks, not to ask questions; so, to prevent any further confusion, questions should be asked at the Q&A thread instead of here.

Why does it feel weird to go back to P4A after taking a little break from it? Anyway, good games SenXXi.

[CP] News & Gameplay Discussion (Old)
MikelAL93 replied to kosmos badgirl's topic in BlazBlue Gameplay
He was also the voice of Guile in SFIV and SFxT, Chad in Bleach, and Raven in Guilty Gear XX: Accent Core + and GG2: Overture. I like Hiroki Yasumoto's voice work too, so I guess I will pick up Azrael, but its currently a tie on either I use him or Amane. -
PSN Ranbats - Questionare and Interest check
MikelAL93 replied to MikelAL93's topic in P4A Online Play
I could work something out if we do it biweekly, and Saturdays seem like a great time to start ranbats. As for the chat room, I have to agree with Jyosua on IRC, its annoying to leave the PSN chat when a match starts, so I will hopefully get an IRC channel for the ranbats up and running when available. Thanks for the inputs on this, guys. Circ's post really must be a great option for all of us including myself. -
BROKENTIER - Clothing for virtual punchy game players
MikelAL93 replied to koogy's topic in Zepp Museum
That design looks really interesting. It looks like something that I can really look into. I can't wait till that shirt is done. And will you provide it in other colors like black as well? -
Yes, I already posted about that yesterday. :P

I hope the same. Who wouldn't want to see an English dub for a GG game? I also hope the Vita version features cross-platform play with the PS3 version as well.

Gulity Gear Accent Core Plus R is coming to PlayStation Vita next year with full voice acting. Looks like this will be a good reason for me to skip the PSN download release if the Vita version is retail. http://www.siliconera.com/2012/09/11/guilty-gear-xx-accent-core-plus-r-coming-to-vita-next-year/

Does your HDTV lag a bit worse on PS3 when compared to 360? or does it lag in general?

Added Choysauce's new contributions to the OP.

I have to agree there. Having two separate threads; one for tips & tricks, and one for blockstrings will make things cluttered and confusing. Thanks for merging the threads together, pk. I'm also glad that I am able to help out the Yukiko sections by contributing stuff and threads to help out with the forums. <3 I also apologize for making two separate threads for tips and tricks and blockstrings. I just want to help out a bit and contribute stuff to the Yukiko sections by making threads for tips, tricks, and blockstrings.

Quick question from a player who uses normal Labrys. In your opinion, how easy or difficult is it to transition to Shadow Labby from her normal counterpart? And what things do I need to make note of when I do make that switch? I've been thinking about using Shadow Labrys for a while, but at a possible cost of replacing normal Labrys with her. So at the moment, it's a "maybe" decision for me to use Shadow Labby.

Stunedge is among one of the best Yukiko players I have seen. Thanks for sharing these setups that Stunedge used before on here.

2.Directory of Block Strings, Frame Traps, and Unblockable Setups While the opponent is in the air Notes: The key to pulling it off is to have the opponent in the air as long as possible. Contrary to her SB Agi bnb, you want to hit them dead on with your Maragi so that they shoot up as high as possible. All of your inputs must be quick, but try to release your B as late as possible so that you can have tine to oki with your unblockable D Maragi. I just tested it on the whole cast and it works on everybody! I even used the same recording and it didn't fail. If you do it fast enough, jumping away, evasive actions, hops, all miss the Maragi. Some Supers will get through, but most of them still get his by Maragi. On top of that I had to do them really really fast. So your opponent has to anticipate the reset and be able to do their super FAST. Some jump away Supers like Naoto's will go right through it, and instant kills will go through it as well. It's at a safe enough distance to avoid any DPs, so you don't have to worry about that. After a 236A knockdown Notes: After 236A's first strike (minus the fireball), it will knockdown the opponent. Remember to hold the fireball, though, you will have to save it for a meaty 4B and a 2D attack; if on block and 2D comes out, release the fireball and continue your strike against your opponent. An example combo would be something like this: 236A > meaty 4B > 2D > release A > 2A If done properly, it will become a chain os. Off the corner confirm go into A Agi > C Agidyne. Notes: Hold down the A Agi, and charge up firebreak as they are falling to the ground. Release A Agi on their wake up as a meaty and do an unblockable D Maragi. This set up as far as I know is only beatable by DP. In awakening, off a B Agidyne > D Maragidyne confirm. Notes: Charge up firebreak as they are being pulled to you, and do SB Agi right on top of them. This gives you a meaty unblockable Agi and you can confirm this into a single Maragi loop. This one is completely unavoidable. Notes: Notes: Notes: Notes: Notes:

Added to the OP. It sure does sound like a great tip for those DP happy characters like Kanji, Narukami, Yosuke, or anyone else but Teddie for that matter.
-
I guess I will make a thread like that, but it may take some time unless we have some blockstrings to add to it.

As someone who was born in FL, I guess I will pop up here to talk to you guys as well. What's crackin' ya'll? Even though I have Asperger's Syndrome (an autism spectrum disorder), I'm not sure if that counts as full autism...

We have a lot of people here that are into fighting games, some that are into shooters (CoD, BF, etc.), and some that are into League of Legends. For the fighting game half, most of us are into SF, KOF, BB, GG, and Persona. We have casuals every Friday for all fighters like iw2ma mentioned. It's nice to see another FGC player in Tulsa getting involved in the scene here.

The more you play with the PS3 pad, the more you will get used to it.

Found another method when fighting against Yukiko during the mirror match on PSN. Thanks to E3vE3 WAZ HEA for testing it with me. Before or when one Yukiko throws her fans, have the other Yukiko summon a C or D Maragi to have it go under the fans. This will help with oki and mixups along the way.

Good games to E3vE3. I had a lot of fun and learned some stuff for Yukiko today. I hope you can get back to the PS3 you used to play some more games with me next time.
