hopefully someone can answer the question, but you should also post it in an AC hardware thread, somewhere in the guilty room. you might have more luck with a response, there.
-
sorry, that's my fault, but thanks for pointing it out. here's hoping everyone changes it to the right way.
-
i'm not sure which kind of JIing this falls under, if you compared it with the article in the player's guide. the closest one is the "combo jump install", but that one requires that you do a special attack that makes you airborne. does anyone know why this works? does it have to do with the timing of the 5H after landing?
-
i don't get it. you could be crouching, but then both of you hit 4/6+H, and you would get a break, wouldn't you? and even if your opponent beats you to it, there's still the second break chance for you. (unless there is some unexplained glitch that disallows throw breaking while crouching, and i'm just flat out wrong :\ ) zer0kage: i'm not quite sure what you mean by "counter" throw, but if i'm guessing right, then i think 4r5 mentioned that in his first response.
-
so, what's the correct range? if I hit with 5K as you are saying, should a 2K-2D be able to connect, or is that too close?
-
what's the BDC for? is there an "option select" parry/2p tactic that jam players like to use, or is that a kind of option select for yourself?

you might not be going all the way back down? like, perhaps you're just doing 1 -> block -> 41+X. yeah, just keep trying it. maybe go into training mode and take a look using the input bar.

oh ffs >_< i thought tsuki was the movement seal. sorry. i'll re-think that.

so in the latest GameChariot vids with Maruken, there were three times that he used Baku -> Sakura into S follow-up: once against FAB, and twice against NakamuraB. i can see why he did it against FAB (low-life situation), but against NakamuraB, i don't understand: the combo doesn't do any damage; NakamuraB had half his life bar; and it seemed like Maruken just went along with attack patterns that weren't contingent on the Baku Sakura set-up. was it just to seal NakamuraB's Slash button? (cuz if that's the case, why wouldn't he use Baku Tsuki instead? it lasts longer than Sakura, and seals dashing and jumping.) anyways i'm kinda lost on this; i'll think about it some more but i'd appreciate any insight.

so wait, your post can be summarized by: Is it absolutely FUTILE to Faultless Defend an attack like Gamma Ray if you don't have the Tension? and I'm wondering what you think of Black Justice? right? First one, if it's something that hits as many times, with little time between the hits, as Gamma Ray, then yes you're kinda screwed if you have little tension. second one idk, but did you really have to make a thread about it

crouching adds one frame of stun. it's in the player's guide, under the charts only section.

those look like they're from a really old post, so they're long gone. if you wanna look up Tsubasa's matches, try this: go to http://www.youtube.com/user/bigooooooohh and in the search field, paste in つばさ. I got 29 hits just like that, although there's an Anji player that goes by the handle Tsubasa as well You might have some luck if you ask in the Axl forum, I think there are some people that collect Axl vids who might not see your post in here. pimp2303: sorry i forgot to post this earlier, but i uploaded the Eddie combo vids that I have to www.strokethebigtree.com/rtl_s_movies/ => AC Eddie CMs or something. also, i only have the youtube link to this other one, it's here: http://youtube.com/watch?v=mvrAw-yZ8hU

i googled the title, but only get niconicovideo versions of them. i guess if you like niconico better, then that's good  oh, i also found kazuna's livedoor blog http://blog.livedoor.jp/kazunanullpo/ maybe if someone feels up to it, then can message him and ask where vids of his group are uploaded.

wth is going on in this thread there are people that post here that are not anglophones... get over it. and actually, in many cases, their spelling and/or grammar is superior to many anglophones.

i don't get it, what are you trying to show?

i'll upload what i have. bucklemyshoe, and anyone else interested: the "outstanding combos" are all up at STBT.

for the most part, i keep the kanji for player names when i post in the video thread. if there's no kanji, it's either written in english, katakana or hiragana. so, you could just browse the video thread for someone's name and probably find what you want.

jump install: not really, unless you want to go for an air combo. a good example would be in Slash, where you could do ground combo xx tatami FRC -> r.2D SJI -> sj.S-P-K -> dsj.S-P-K/S to D or YZS, depending on the character. well, i suppose there might be some really really specific set-up for a combo using jump install. but generally, "no", baiken has no use for jump install. of course you can airdash after a TK tatami FRC... you're saying: 2369+K FRC 66 right? to get an ad. tatami after a j.D FRC, i don't think you can do the directional input before the FRC. somehow, the input gets lost during the hitpause (this is probably a bad way of saying it), so you have to do it after. either j.D FRC 2366+K or j.D FRC 66236+K will work, but they will be different types of ad. tatami.
