  1. Actually, this should be good for discussion; what do you guys think of your characters across all of the versions? And no, this isn't to bitch about how much they currently suck, I just want something to talk about and an opinion of who everyone plays.
  2. I never said they were "special"? Like, what are you even talking about? First you go on and say "Character design doesn't matter" and I correct you on that. And then you go off on some tangent about them being special or something? Wut :V Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. ....Wow.....Jesus. I don't even need to watch that to know how it ends.
  4. I feel I should clarify that when I say characters are "Good or bad depending on design", it's not saying "X will forever be good/bad because of how he plays" but rather, "the character has been consistently good/ bad because of how the developers have balanced their design." What I mean by design is similar to what TD just said; the character's overall functions, normals, damage, movement, offensive, defense, etc. etc. Everything that factors into how they play and what they want to do. The reason why characters like Hazama or Valkenhayn always top in tournaments and the like is because their overall designs have been consistently good/well designed while everyone else just kind of flip flops depending on how the developers are feeling at the moment.
  5. That's what I was referring to? Did I really have to point out frame data? Why else would I bring up his normals at if not for the frame data :V Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Its difficult because Hakumen doesn't have to take as many risks as Ragna and can still keep the advantage with passive meter gain; Ragna is forced to go on the offensive more often than not, and as we all know his offense isn't the best in the game or that oppressive. And then it becomes even more difficult when he has 4+ stars, because then you have to be aware of Yukikaze or Zantetsu, which will take off a solid chunk of Ragna's health and probably neuter the advantage you had before. It's not a bad matchup for Ragna per se, you just can't autopilot. So yea, aggressive is the best way to win this matchup, just don't confuse aggressiveness with recklessness.
  7. That's because Blazblue balances is absolutely piss most of the time.
  8. I can't say much about Izayoi, but Terumi, quite frankly, suuuuuuuuucks. He is really a poor man's Hazama. His normals aren't as good, his average damage out is pretty mediocre, even in the corner. And that's just the tip of the iceberg. That's kind of why he's bottom :V
  9. If you think the the strengths of how some characters play don't factor into their design, you might wanna start rethinking your opinion just a bit. Just Saiyan. In fact, wasn't the whole "Tager is S tier" nonsense just in regards to the matchup against Nu?
  10. Clearly this means Hakumen is a Guilty Gear character :V Big thanks to Rai to immortalizing this.
  11. "How to "beat" Optic Barrel Oki, by Kuzu" Who says using Carnage Scissors from full screen doesn't work :V
  12. Probably because it's a lot easier o get out than Yukikaze/
  13. Rai, you mind making a few gifs for me. I promise they're lawl worthy. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. It's not my fault I have late night hours on the job D:
  15. Just got home from work, who wants to FT5 me before I hit the sack.
  16. Naw, he should have weakened it with a status move.
  17. Probably so two people don't monopolize a room or lobby station; doesn't P4U2 do that as well.
  18. Yo that Nu, what the fuuuuuuck. That somehow feels wrong.
  19. Ya know you just play in a side tournament. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Oh my god, he counted to three.
  21. I can also see Doug Erholtz as Carmine as well.
  22. Welp, it's time to grind them Mugen combos bros.
  23. And so starts the time of the year when people can't play due to classes.
  24. See guys, poro isn't the only player who can make Mugen practical: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lVD0PwgOS3M&t=7m09s
  25. Whoever uses the susanoo unit appears to have their soul extracted from their original body and installed into it. Hakumen's(at the time when he was still Jin) body was too damaged after his trip through the boundary and needed his soul installed into it in order to survive. Terumi used to inhabit it, but that also meant he was under Ametarasu's observation and since he hates the Master Unit, he ditched the unit altogether, albeit he didn't have a body to return to, which might explain why he had Relius make him a new one(Kazuma and/or Hazama). Kokonoe didn't really want to extract Hakumen from the unit, just use his body altogether. We don't really know what would happen to Hakumen if his soul is removed, but it's implied his soul would return to the boundary where it was pulled from the first time. Meaning, he would more or less die if he was removed from it.
