Well, I mean, do the real combo if it's a punish situation. And if it's a mash out situation, you want to use 5A 'cause it's faster. 2A starters are mainly from catching mash from stagger 2A blockstrings.
-
5C 5A is just to keep them honest, 'cause it's minimal risk but also pretty much zero reward. 5C 236A combos, though, so if you think your 5C will hit, 5C 236A will net you a ton of damage. If they read it, they can shield the first two hits of Mortal Slide and get a big advantage in neutral 'cause they'll be at good frames and good positioning. That's why you 5C 5A. Vatista is a scumbag. Bait a flashkick. Most Vatistas are bad and will do 2C earlier than divedrill for mixups so you can block it free by just timing it. Good Vatistas will delay the 2C and make you cry. Don't bother trying to navigate the balls and lasers if you don't have a good read. Just block for a long time and wait for Vorpal. Then you can act like a bully and CS stuff to make her hesitate. If she does that scummy 66C A ball thing, throw her out of it. If she baits you, you get wrecked, though. :v

Yeah, Mortal Slide is a lot stronger. In fact, I'd call it the strongest move in the game, in front of even the hateful Kuuga. Very low risk, huge reward. The reason Grim Reaper is so popular is 'cause people both are impatient and don't know to move when they can't jump around like an idiot. As for how you beat Wald and Merk, you just play patient and don't let them do dumb shit. Don't whiff stuff. 214A Wald's Ex360 on reaction to ExFlash. Tech 360B. Bet on their assaults and ExReaper or slide, depending on their approach vector. Slide under Merkava fly dive. Ex on reaction to ExFlail and beat it out. Don't get hit by random shit.
-
It's probably more balance except for the SSS tiers 'cause everyone became a lot more ridiculous. Top tier is still dumb as fuck, though.
-
It's 66C 22A, for the record, and it's just a guess. There's no sure way of beating it.
-
If he really does 66C 22A 66C 22A, etc, just shield 66C and mash out with 5A. The problem is if he adds 214A to catch the shield or 236A to catch the mash, in which case you're fucked. I'm still gonna say to ExBloodRain out. EDIT: And if you let him hit you and he doesn't do 66C or he does 66C into something other than 22A, or if it's in the corner, you get wrecked soooo hard.

C'mon, you guys are exaggerating. It's not as dumb as before, but the C.PU is still stupid. It's not EFZ-bot level yet
-
Well, at least it's not the Noel treatment, where they pretty much steadily removed all the cool shit until there's nothing left. Except by cool, I mean bull.

It crashes for me on 6.1.2. Oh, well.

I see a lot of people talking about maybe switching characters. Not really a good sign. Valk seems better now, which means I'm gonna hate it, at least.

It's all for the arcade money.

Or my personal favorite, A+B+C+D with less than 100 meter.
-
Just A+D plus your anti air. Like 3A+C+D for Sion, or 2A+C+D for Gordeau.
-
Haha, how did they get Eltnam for one part and Eltnum for the other.
-
The Miquelet cancel and the Flint shooter changes are the main thing for me.

Pretty excited about this new version of Bullet. Finally a real character.
-
What? I'm not even good at one game. I'm not playing 4.
-
That's why anime players hop games like shitheads.

Labrys red axe 214214A+B is also pretty good for that. The Liz AI loves to run into it. I beat a course of risky score attack with just Labry's DP and 214214A/B/A+B.

Oh, you know what, it's 'cause I play Shadow Rise.

[CPEX] Celica A. Mercury Gameplay Discussion Thread

Good.

C'mon, Mu getting nerfed is perfectly justified. That character is almost as annoying as Noel. Characters without mobility just have such a tough time getting anything done. Plus, she has a good dp, a great damage from most hits, and has normals that are really good at doing what they do. So obnoxious. The only thing to complain about at this point is the overhead nerf. The other changes (even the Stein lasers being slower) aren't necessarily nerfs 'cause we don't know how her new setups and combos will work
-
It looks like it had less knockback, so 236C RC combos should be easier. It also seems to combo into 5A at the wall. Probably a lot of hidden changes, too, though.
