  1. FYI: I maintain a Seth playlist on my youtube: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLP4iwkTL_yVjCULckXnbfQ6ATVqTlzSB4 I dont guarantee the quality of some of the videos though. Some are pretty useless but I just collect them regardless. ---------------- EDIT: Went through the massive Rion stream: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3F9RSSjCVRA Aside from just very solid setplay (Seth-play? haha) I didn't really find any new setups/tech/combos. Did pick out some highlights though: 1:56 The combo Brett was talking about. (2C(2) > 214BB > j.236A > delay j.214A > 5A > 3C > 214BB > air backdash j.6C > whatever) 2:05 Good 3B antiair + follow up combo 5:54 Orb cross up gimmick? 6:55 Command grab setup after 623A > CS > wait for character to get sucked in closer > command grab 7:50 Good CH 2C combo. 2C (CH) > 214BB > 2C(1) > 214CC > 6C > j.236B > j.214A > 623B > 66C > orb hits > 6C > j.236B 9:58 Standard fast fall after assault mixup. Also does the orb push Yuzu out of the corner here? 24:30 214CA > Command grab (Although its very clear this time that it wasnt the 214X~A follow up) 29:53 6C > j.236B ... setup >214BB > j.214A > Command Grab 31:14 Opens up Orie with some awkward 214BB into back dash shenanigans (weird to describe) 35:40 Great use of fundamental mixups (empty jump low/throw) 41:53 Standard unblockable setup with Orb set > Assault j.C > Rise j.A > 214B 43:12 Yolo j.214C works. 53:08 Capitalizing on air unblockable chance with air blocked orb > 623A > CS > normal 54:18 66C > cross to other side > 2A works out 1:11:39 Nice throw bait with assault. 1:14:35 Interesting pressure from full screen EX orb set 1:22:56 backdash on reaction to CS to bait something 1:24:06 stuff > 6C > Whiff j.214A > IW combos O_o 1:25:10 After reverse beating, 66C can get you back in ex. 2C > 5A whiff > 66C > 214BB [4] > j.236A > j.214A > 623A > orb block > assault j.C > 214 1:29:50 Command grab setup into command grab setup lol 1:45:10 Same thing again! 2:11:25 Good punish against air slash vs Yuzu 2:13:50 Seth vs Byakuya. First time seeing this recorded lol. 2:39:50 "Catch me if you can" Rion runs away from Linne for 20 seconds. 2:43:25 Cool escape from the corner vs Byakuya General Matchup notes: Vs Yuzu: Air camping is pretty effective since you keep out of her slash range. Dash shielding is really good to get in when going up against her stance slashes (actually you should always just shield them in general). Vs Orie She doesnt have much of an answer to air camping either. Her Evasion (FF) can be shielded for a free punish (40:37). Her Tanatos strings have a pretty decent gap between them (ex 214A > 214B) that you can 623C through. Vs Linne: Again air camping works well. 66C is really good for punishing those gaps in her strings when shes poking you from mid range (ex 6C pressure from her)
  2. Oh god this audio quality x-x. Ill go through this in the morning and pick out anything worth stealing.
  3. Oops sorry, I kept seeing it around so I figured it was allright.
  4. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1De7GMR--Ycdnir8rto3rpztm7_LHeqJYqzyrjYlFviU/htmlview?pli=1&sle=true# According to this, the source is this guy: https://twitter.com/bhd_MAVEN/status/498196424094277632 https://docs.google.com/document/d/1xCt8Ps5QsUUEbBM3QoiyOzDfqUHNFVtq47vfROkOiSg/edit Brett has the basic/important stuff in that doc in terms of combo routes. As for the 214X series, its basically used at the end of your blockstrings to attempt a mixup. Good analogy in my opinion is Wesker's teleport mixups in Marvel 3 if you ever watch/play that. 214B > j.214A is like the most common mixup using the teleport. I might write a better explanation later, pretty tired from cleaning out my room all day x-x
  5. https://twitter.com/Al_Rikir/status/499262049969799169/photo/1 I couldnt figure out how to post a JPEG on DL X_X ANYWAY. Did a test for how positive you can get with a meaty 66C. Dont have any frame equipment so ghetto lab experiment away. ----------- Lab Report Start... Procedure: Recorded 10 trials of performing a 66C meaty after a 6C knockdown from CH 3C. Meaty is timed after "RECOVER" annotation appeared, 66C is performed at that time. After each trial a screen cap is taken and the distance between the white Seth's belt buckle and the black Seth's belt buckle is measured with a red line. Length of red line indicates how negative black Seth is.Two control points "Control Pointblank" and "Control Midscreen" are used to help comparison. "Control Pointblank" is a 66C done from the closest distance possible and "Control Midscreen" is done from the match start distance. As a scale, "CRTL P" is as negative as the move gets and "CTRL M" is roughly the most positive. Analysis: Trials 1, 2, 3, 5, 7, 8, 10 are all between the two controls. Trials 4 and 9 are below "CTRL M". Trial 6 is above "CTRL P" and is probably just an outlier (measured at wrong point of jump). Conclusion: TLDR If you time a 66C meaty right then you're more plus than if you just used it normally but overall still negative.

  7. Havent seen any.
  8. More Seth combo videos: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DXsGKPBiO6s Theyre just flying out of the press now!
  9. I was just about to post that lol. Anyway, these new combos are awesome! Ill look at them more in detail tomorrow. It was a mystery worth solving though. :>
  10. I really cant tell either, but my guess is thats its just the follow up.
  11. I uploaded a bunch of Seth matches ripped off the UNIEL Replay system: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m4r5ICZUbgo Rion makes a few appearances, I made some notes so give me some time to type them up. Added some random highlights/notes in description of video. Heres some stuff that I think might be worth your time though: Rion Matches: Penhouse635 (Gord) vs Luna7721 (aka RION Seth) 5:41 Luna7721 (RION Seth) vs nusaa6 (Eltnum) 23:01 6:19 Rion escapes EX Grim Reaper with a really nice 214C 6:40 Corner unblockable setup: 6C > 236A > Meaty Assault j.C > Rise j,A > 214B 10:22 Interesting meaty setup with 66C > 623A for frame trap 11:08 SAME SETUP with CS follow up (drops it though) >I think this is worth investigating since this Seth player uses it like three times in this match. The Gord didnt really expect him to 623A back to the other side. 21:00 Corner mixup: 6C > Orb > Assault > Fast Fall > 2A >Tricky stuff 24:25 Really cool backdash punish for forward teching. >That j.A hit super meaty. 24:50 Rion magically grabs Eltnums DP O_o 25:33 DOUBLE PERFECT WITH SETH VS WALD
  12. Kinda important I guess: Rion's twitter: https://twitter.com/Rion7721
  13. lol I just choose not to play anyone under 2 bars unless I know the connection is at least stable. Although I have gotten to the point where I can at least do his standard combo from 6C consistently. Everything else still needs work. gsdgsjg On a slightly unrelated note: Brett needs some lab assistants: https://twitter.com/kazmadan/status/498461282320650240 So I helped out! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=scgAfP3zwF8&feature=youtu.be
  14. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HsgEq56P35E&feature=youtu.be Seth Combo video by me. Yayyyyy. I investigated combos from his 6C because theres literally none anywhere. I also made sure most of the combos I used werent already in Rion's CMVs. Right some quick stuff to mention. Off of his overhead, you can only combo into 214A on: Gord Merk Hilda Carmine Wald
  15. Uhhh is it me, or on the same frame that EX orb fires, you cant throw out another orb?
  16. Sooo yeah you cant connect a 66C on Eltnum if you confirm from a long string starting from 2A.
  17. Did an investigation for his 623X series: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-0BvaqFz2XI&feature=youtu.be Ehhhhhh they're okay.
  18. New Seth main reporting in~ Ill try to get out some tech as fast as I can!
  19. Oh geez, really? I interpreted that as j.664a+b, this makes much more sense. Thank you!
  20. Looking at the combo list: 5a (air hit) > 6b > j.4a+b > j.6d > j.6d Is this combo even possible? The j.6D bug launches your opponent closer to you, so the only way I can see this hitting is if both j.6D bugs hit at the same time. I trust my execution, but maybe im just doing something wrong.
  21. mmmmm ive been itching for some japanese BBCP Noel play, but I don't know who to watch. Any suggestions?
  22. Kinda late, but heres my Catherine Combo Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZvYPTO4vrFY&feature=youtu.be
  23. Hello... *shy face*
  24. Finished the ground work for the Catherine wiki: http://wiki.mizuumi.net/w/Chaos_Code/Catherine I plan on adding the combo section later. Im planning on making a Catherine combo video so I want to do that first.
  25. Oh do you have a link to the JP wiki? I cant do any translating but I do wanna take a look.
