  1. Yeah, not all grapplers are bad, that's exactly why I said almost. And yeah, Makoto's moveset covers situations, but I won't say they do a fantastic job at it. :/ CU barely even works, and she has a lot of otherwise limited and wasted moves here and there.
  2. Our drive is not much more useful. It's just an extra attack that can actually backfire. Plus, Makoto's got literally no unique strengths now, Tager does.
  3. Tager at least didn't have his very playstyle crippled, and he was consistently fun to use, even when he was bottom. Makoto has it bad in way more ways than one. Besides, being bottom is a grappler's chronic weakness in almost every game just by the way they play, but Tager has something that other grappler's would find useful; MAGNETISM.
  4. It's hard to see when we've been "lulled to sleep". I still enjoy Makoto a ton more than most other characters too, she just needs definitive changes for once. Good to know some vids are popping up.
  5. I don't think Goro would quit playing Makoto that easily, but playing her as she is now is daunting for a lot of people. I find it funny that Kokonoe was the most broken character in BB's history and got the highest amount of flack in the shortest amount of time, and they let her pass for S tier a second time in a row. Yet they nerf someone who was consistently weak for three games. Weird. :/ I guess I am happy with the PF fix (if it is a "good" fix), now we just need BBS to get fixed too.
  6. Tsubaki's in a good spot right now though, right? Makoto's pretty much the most severe case of character neglect I've ever seen in a game. It's a shame they chose to do this with such a great character for no good reason three damn times, much less with my favorite. When are we going to write Arc some hate mail?
  7. Either way, we're scratching the bottom of the barrel for pretty much semi-viable strategies and we STILL can't keep up. I'm counting on Arc to remove these strategies gimmicks too eventually, to where Makoto is beyond bare bones as a fighter. *sigh* I'm sick of her being the Dan of BB already. I thought that role was for Amane. Makoto feels like she was meant to be a bad ass, not a training dummy.

  9. As a starter? I'd laugh at the guy unless he let it happen on purpose, lol... I hate going back to the acorn topic, but I might as well make the most out of it since it's the only change I... somewhat... like. :/ When it rolls on the ground, it definitely has a tiny bit more hitboxes towards the end of the move. Still not overly useful, but hey, it's something.
  10. I played on a friend's copy, and I'd gladly practice comboing into it. That is, if the move decides to come out. >.> Seriously, couldn't BB have forward taunts like Guilty Gear so we have immediate access to the acorn or something? 10% chance is stoopid.
  11. Oh damn... I was hoping Acorn combos were possible with regular Makoto too... I know they're possible in Unlimited. Too bad no combo ability carried over. Still would be hilarious to K.O. someone with it though; possibly better than any Astral just for the humiliation alone, lol. Last I checked on Extend, U. Makoto acorns did exactly 1 point of damage out of, say, Jin's 11,500. I swear this new acorn does at least 100. Still pretty damn weak, but noticeably stronger if you look reeeally close.
  12. Nailed it, that's exactly how I feel. I couldn't help but laugh when I was on tumblr, a certain something made my day. "what if god was one of us... just a squirrel like one of us." Just to keep it related to the topic, I want to know if someone found an acorn combo route yet, it's the only thing I haven't seen yet.

  15. Makoto's all about baiting now, so learning to do that greatly helps against mashers. Easier said than done though, her range makes even baiting difficult, unless you can react within a millionth of a second. Wait, what kind of crushes?
  16. It's been that way though ever since the end of CS2. But you're right, it's safe to say I quit BB after Arc pulled that move on Makoto a third time. 3 strikes is all I gave those motherfuckers.
  17. Nothing stops Makoto from the being the most adorable and bad ass fictional thing in existence. Even the human mind can't think of something better than what she is.

  20. Well, we got that Makoto-killing golden Tager glitch. It's game-breaking, though not necessarily something that makes us better. Omni, I'm curious, what happens if you accidentally discover a (serious) glitch new to everyone during the end of a tourney?
  21. Extend all over again. Only this time, we are forever alone. Not gonna say I didn't see it coming, but would it kill them to make Makoto AT LEAST mid-tier again?

  24. Holy crap. This would be the best thing ever. Although, if we're talking outfits, are we going with the shirt or without the shirt with just the straps? Imagine the latter in gameplay! <3
