No one talks about it. This is why we need the group back so we can all talk bullshit again. I mean, we can talk up a storm in chat and Zepp, but it'd feel like we just invaded since anything goes. I'd hate for us to be hogging it up. edit: also I don't count on Mori doing shit really, unless something weird happens, like they spontaneously fire a lot of people at Arc and bring in people who know what they're doing. -

@Omega You've been doing your homework, hehe. I couldn't have worded that better myself even if I tried. As for Makoto as a world leader/ambassador, sign me up too! I hope all of this makes it to the next game. Obligatory Makoto changes and improvements better be included in terms of gameplay. if not, I'm done with this series. I don't play for Mori's main peeps like Ragna, Noel, and Hazama. I'm in this for Makoto all the way. And yeah, story discussion and wishlisting here is depressing, it just goes to show you how bad the situation is; the changes didn't do dog shit for us, so there's not much to talk about really. Zepp doesn't want to hear Makoto stuff either. When are groups coming back? -

In other words, she's not Tao! But that's probably another thing I like about her; she's one of the few positive characters in a world where easy going people are hard to come by. -

I wish they'd put more time in some other characters, Makoto especially, it also wouldn't hurt to give others like Arakune a solid purpose again. And yeah, BB's world is interesting, as screwed up as it is. At least there's a lot of Makoto in story mode screentime-wise, though most of it is comedic. -

That's why I played a friend's copy first. Lack of changes to my character combined with little to no good updates in the patch were a recipe for disaster. No money from me this thime Arcsys. :P Definitely not worth the $70+ to me. Tiers wouldn't matter to me as long as there were bigger differences to Makoto to play around with, but other than being slightly more solid, she's mostly the same.Not much fun to be had once you have OD figured out. :/ It's a shame I don't have BBCS2 anymore though. -

Bullet doesn't compare to Makoto either, heck, barely even Litchi. They both may have bigger boobies, but they don't have that awesome tail or personality trait. And CS1 Makoto is hands down the funnest character I've played so far. I have yet to seriously try Bullet, and Litchi strikes me as "eh... alright I guess." As characters, neither of them strike me as truly deep or interesting. Neither did Makoto to a certain degree for a while if we aren't including initial personality, until Extend happened (more backstory, good end, bad end, joke end, etc), that's when I noticed a lot of potential in her as a character. Untapped potential I might add. -

Either the move was precisely centered, or you got crossed up at a split second, lol. though I think those are technically the same thing. :/ And never avoid Makoto's butt. That would be foolish. -

I can make sense out of it, because Litchi wants to give Arakune those boobies. ...Still Like Makoto's boobies better though. Could the old 3C do that? I can't remember, lol... But I can see why they got rid of the invuln, the move was pretty stupid in it's own way, especially the CS1 version someone mentioned. But I still think the move needs a tweak. If 3C had an extra attack at the beginning like Guile's in Streetfighter, I think that alone would fix the move. As for j.2C, it does need the blockstun back. And maybe reduce the hitbox to just Makoto, since the tail is not hittable during anything else like running and standing. At least I think j.2C's tail is hittable... what does the hitbox look like? -

I just want Makoto to be fun to use again. She used to have one of the most interesting playstyles back then, because she had so many options in her combos. But now she became so limited, combined with being unreasonably weaker. They keep removing the fun stuff. Even if Makoto did CS2 damage, I don't think it would make her any more fun than what she is right now.A huge damage buff would just make her artificially good, I wouldn't mind a tiny damage buff but I'd want the main improvements in the other areas like her normals and specials. ...and Litchi doesn't compare to Makoto. I'd rather quit the game before switching to her. -

I can see why. j.2C out of the blue basically screams "HIT ME", at least 3C hits low. Btw, what does it low profile now without the projectile invuln? Hopefully this is the last time Makoto gets nerfed, but take everyone's word for it when they say Makoto is way better than Extend. I barely played her on a friend's copy and felt the main difference immediately. Seeing her get a couple nerfs in the update still pissed everyone off though, me included. >.> But with her being bad 3 games in a row, it's hard to not be a little bit agitated. -

3C I think is arguably the most useless move in the game now. Even when it had the invuln, it was mainly situational for projectiles and only really useful for baiting bursts. If 2C's speed was quicker, it'd be a much better low than what it is. But nope- even Tager's lows are faster, and have better reach. So that's two slow lows for her. What are they going to screw up next in CPEX? It's anyone's guess, because things aren't looking up. -

Don't give them any ideas, because they JUST MIGHT do it. ...I'm kind of surprised no one is fighting back or defending Makoto with the grimness going on, because she's easily one of the most tormented fighters I've ever seen when it comes to changing their gameplay with little to no thought, or even borderline hatred. -

You mean the fact that it's mainly a free counterhit for the opponent, and has only a 30% chance of actually working and hard as hell to follow up, even with resources? It's more like a really ghetto reversal. An actual parry would be far more useful. -

That's actually right. Makoto's a tricky character to actually buff. One wrong buff, and she'd wind up broken again, or overly reliant one one fool-proof strategy like in CS2. But she doesn't need nerfs either; they just need to fix up a few of her existing moves slightly without going overboard, and she'd be considerably better. And do the small things like a hitbos tweak for CU and do... something with 3C, and she'd be totally perfect. Although, if we could get Makoto back in CS1 form with a damage nerf and a few move fixes, I'd settle for it, that would be the shits, hehe. :D -

I guess I understand that... But they still gave nerfs to an already bad character, but characters who were just as bad got huge improvements. Makoto being well-rounded didn't need as many buffs for sure, but she sure didn't need more nerfs, that's my point. -

I know that's right. I wish more players would see this instead of assuming Makoto is okay and actually report in some of this data to Arc. But it seems they balance her based on the performance of freakishly good players like someone said about Goro; they want her nerfed until she's unplayable even to him. Anyone ever feel like this is what's happening? -

I just don't see how she's the same; the nerf to j.B and buff to 6B isn't equivalent, it's still out of our favor. Yet the other characters who were considered bad got some hefty upgrades as needed. What exactly did Makoto do to deserve this that isn't unlike the other previous OP chars had? ...I'll have to embrace it either way. I'm going to pick up this game eventually, especially when the price drops. _| ̄|○ I just hope Makoto is fun. -

I don't like the "recycle" style changes she's getting. She's mainly losing important tools, then getting them back, but usually at the cost of another major tool, with a few negligible things thrown in to make it look like they artificially did something with her. At this point, I kind of want her removed from the game just to avoid anymore torment. ...it sucks that we're letting this go on for so long, but there's honestly nothing better to note about these changes. -

I will still play her as well, it's not like I'm going to tourneys, but holy crap, they are removing the fun from her. I'd take the nerfs if they didn't directly affect how she plays, that crap hurts. I could only imagine what would happen if they did this for this long with another character; there'd be an outrage. -

She's too weak, I'd be surprised if she does anything this installment. The next person saying "she's fine" or "she's totally viable" should get a reality check (the whole BB community). She's damn near Jagi status in Fist of the North Star if I had to take a guess at it.
