  2. I never really backdashed with Makoto much to avoid stuff either, mainly because of how fast the move happens. Characters generally have really active hitboxes on a lot of their attacks and you'd need immaculate timing to actually avoid something. I can't imagine it being even worse... more frames to go through with no extra invuln.

  6. If that's really the reason why Makoto's in her current situation, then I wouldn't even know what to say. How's our OD looking after all this time?
  7. Say that to Rachel. But in all seriousness, it does kind of hurt since oki is pretty much a fraction of how Makoto plays. Dunno why they keep removing important elements to her playstyle, while other characters are capable of way more than what they are supposed to be. At least the oki is there, it's still better than what Ex Makoto had. Hopefully BBCPEX is better.
  8. I thought overall damage looked fine as well, but I'm really interested in what her current OD damage is. The j.B to D had me a bit worried with the hitstun nerf, but it looks like it connects fine, just super strict in terms of timing. However, we'll definitely lose some other combos. And I was finally looking forward to Makoto having some stability.
  9. Not an entirely useless change after all. I always felt that move should bounce an aired opponent from the beginning. How does overall OD damage look so far to you? I honestly can't judge it too well.
  10. So what exactly is the point to an air-bounce 6b? Has anyone found out if it can actually be legitimately followed up?
  11. It's mainly the fact we lost a bunch of stuff for that disappointing move, otherwise it would be semi-okay with me. I can't tell if they are making Makoto a joke character, or just a flat-out joke. Either way, I'm not laughing. I did laugh at "Limited Makoto's Defeat Acorn" though, lol.
  12. Yeah... Only change that's really noteworthy, and it's still negligible.
  13. Even excluding the 10% activation, it sounds like a totally different (and shittier ) move. It's a shame they didn't keep it exactly like the unlimited one, because that's the best attack in the game. Not in terms of practicality either.
  14. It's like the kick knocks them unconscious for a second or something, lol...So CH version is still good? I guess that's good. Btw, how many active hit frames does that little acorn have? I could have sworn Litchi had to block it when it actually hit the ground. Makes me wonder if it's exactly the same as UN Acorn, minus the tracking.

  16. ...Welp, acorn sucks. The j.B hitstun nerf is pretty apparent there too. I've haven't seen it until now, but that's a big difference.
  17. Mori has to be the one who gives the OK for that stuff to slide though. Or something along those lines... And if Makoto's OD is already pretty much average now, and that's the 1.0 damage... And with the eventual nerf coming along... Crap man. Arcsys lost it. They pretty much just said "Alright, f**k this character." Kind of glad I didn't get the game yet tbh, because it is starting to sound like Extend all over again.
  18. So what I'm seeing overall from what everyone says; a bit weaker, lost a couple good combo routes, nerfs to a few key moves, topped off with near-useless other tweaks. Wow... So are there any bright sides to these changes? ...And I mean real bright sides, no nonsense.
  19. Then what's this nerf everyone is talking about to it? Proration maybe? edit: oh, NORMAL PF is untouched. But the OD version's nerf is confirmed, correct? I probably wouldn't be surprised if this was true. I can understand some priorities, but come on... Put the attention where it really counts. You have fans of this character suffering here, Mori.

  22. Her overall oki is better than Ex, but still lost some options out of it? I'm curious, what changes affected that?
  23. How much damage did we potentially lose off OD?
  24. I'll stop complaining, but I still don't know why they'd do this for nearly 3 games to one specific character, who happens to be the one I actually like. It's hard to not be at least a bit aggravated. Is there news of any redeeming changes in the future? I am trying to find good things to look forward to, but they are becoming hard to come by.
  25. One player should not dictate an "at least" response. This still sucks for him and the other players, does it not? The only step they didn't take is remove her from the game. What are the positives here? No joke, I am pretty upset with all this.
