Anything going on socal this weekend (21,22)? I expect to be in the neighborhood.

I recommend a mailing list (Google Groups, perhaps), maybe two. For the LUG when I was at school, there were three distinct sublists: general (public, low/no access restrictions) announce (low-volume, "read-only") admin (staff, restricted subscription) Seems like suitable lists for now are: norcalinstall-staff (this stuff) norcalinstall-announce (event dates, organizational changes, commendations, etc.) (the equivalent of norcal-general would be here on DL...)

First of the vids uploaded. This is one from honnous's TV ("station 2") on day 2, the one in front of that one flatscreen. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uqD3dS3CheQ PMs or posts title & time segments for reuploads in HQ. As videos get uploaded, they'll be added to this playlist: http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLDC0B6193CB8661D9

Alright, let's do this. Tomorrow 3/23 at Gamecenter San Mateo.

Carl jet jump: 66~5D~629 or 66~5D~6629 If 6,5D,6 works, it has to be fast enough to register as a(nother) 656 (forward dash) -- I wasn't sure if I really got 65D6 or if I spazzed 5D66. The 2 is not necessary; superjump just gives him more hang time. The idea is to "stack" forward dashes such that his forward jump is backed by the speed of about 2x his dash speed - during 5D he slides at about dash speed, then the second forward dash "stacks" its speed onto it. Clears maybe 80% or so screen width in a single bound -- well over full-screen with double jump. I'll try to gets vid of it in a few days. It's startling to witness the first time.

Tager-only string (TG standing): 669j.B, j.2C, j.B, delayed j.C, dj, j.2C, j.B, j.C, \/ ground stuff. Funny crossup against most talls, standing: 669j.B, j.2C, j.A (whiff), j.B (crossup). The whiff j.A seems necessary. The gap from j.2C directly to crossup j.B is longer than j.2C, j.A whiff, j.B (i.e .whiffing j.A improves the string). Carl throw range longer than his 5B?: 66~5D, 6B~C.

The dash-activation, 66~5D, loops into itself and is functionally a wavedash, complete with waving. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IekZmwiIb7Y&t=1m0s Other silly stuff is possible off 66~5D, such as forward dash to backdash (66~5D, 44) and dashing super jump (66~5D, 29). Dash-activation jump into Distortion endows Carl with strange momentum during super flash, not sure if a glitch.

GG at GC this Friday night. I'll be there.

OK, so apparently it's more of an Employee's Day thing than Night, so I can make it to Gamecenter (probably by 7p). I'll be bringing a PS2 (console only), recording equipment, and one ps2 stick. The more sticks and consoles, the better.

My employer has a Employees' Night thing going on this Friday; can anyone else take lead Fri nite?

2012 Jan 7 videos of Guilty Gear casuals, divided into 1-hour segments: http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL14140770A4576C54 Extremely low-quality. Post or PM requests (url & time ranges) for high-quality reposts. Also, kind of old, but 2011 Dec 10 (last month) videos of NCI Guilty Gear tournament (training mode and long menu pauses clipped out): http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLEE9A618A2BD885BD Would appreciate if people could identify which portions are tournament and who the competitors are. Edit: Also, somehow I wound up with captures of CvS2 and Hyper SF2 AE.

Never mind. I pulled this off last night (CSX), I suspect either hitbox in j.2C was tweaked, or I was just preoccupied with other CA changes this last time.
