Anyone know if there's a shortcut for getting Suzuran~412P to come out as quickly as possible? From the combos I've seen this used in, Baiken doesn't even go into her running animation for Suzuran before the 412p comes out.

I hope so. Hopefully I can play some people on my friends list today that have the jpn version so I can get better impressions than facing a bunch of 0 bars form Japan.
-
Nope. Like I said, the online mode was virtually untouched in terms of the things that people wanted improved most.
-
Messed around with it today, and the online seems exactly the same. Netcode feels the same, UI is the same.(except with a blue tint instead of a green one) Of course the pickings for who to face online was pretty slim dude to lack of people online and 100% of users being 0 bar connections, but the amount of lag in the games I played felt no different from when I first went online with GGAC in November. Pretty much all the problems noted with online for GGAC(netcode, lobbies, lack of connection indicator for ranked matches, etc.) are all still present in the +R update.

What can you followup with if the hit confirm is blocked?
-
Yes, sorry for the confusion
-
How exactly do you hit confirm Hakumens combos with only one starter that you need to cancel out of?
-
How do you ensure that you're close after the air tatami relaunch? I thought you pretty much have to immediately jump after the tatami And I've only practiced this combo on Ky. In fact I've only practiced all my Baiken combos on ky and no one else....
-
how do you pull off this combo? gatling -> tatami FRC>j.D>ad j.SD FRC j.tatami>j.SD>ad j.SD (medium/heavy include []) Practiced on Ky I can seem to get all the way to the last ad j.SD. Once I get to this point either S whiffs or S will connect, but the dummy will recover before D can even get off. I thought this might've been because I was using sj rather than just a regular jump after tatami because it seemed like sj'ing made it more likely that the first ad j.SD would connect and not whiff. I've tried doing it just with normal jumpting and it's the same deal. I've actually gotten it off once before, but the dummy was dizzied during the last ad j.SD so I assume it was because of that.(is there any way to turn off dizzy anyway?) Is there a video or something that demonstrates this combo?

Ah, I didn't know that. Thanks! In terms of Baiken's AA combos, what are her options after an AA 6P? The guide doesn't seem to mention AA combos at all.
-
Thanks for the advice. Are there any video's available of some top level baikens? It seems that the AC video thread has been replaced with the +R video thread.
-
this seems to solve it. doing the same gatling you mentioned without dash beforehand causes Baiken to be too far away fro sj.P to hit after. With the dash I can actually do the whole gatling I mentioned earlier(although it isn't as successful as just doing 2K > c.5S > 2D) So I guess if I'm not dashing in I'm stuck doing c.5S > 2D for a blockstring/hit confirm?
-
ah I was thinking that. I was wondering why the guide was talking about not having the tension to follow up with the tatami combo when using 5P>2K>5S>5HS. Is tatami safe? Because it doesn't seem like you can really hit confirm c. 5S > 2D, unless I'm mistaken.
-
I can't seem to pull this move off: gatling -> tatami>[sj]j.PD After the tatami, the dummy recovers before sj. p will hit them, sometimes it even seems like the dummy is too far for sj.p to even hit(I'm practicing this in the corner btw.) The gatling I'm doing is 5P>2K>5S>5HS. Will the combo work with this gatling? I've tried doing it with just gatling 5S>5HS and that seems to work, but adding any other gatling before just causes the dummy recover before sj.p hits.

With the j.D nerf, are all of Baikens combo's in +R based on FRC's or CH's now? Does the general gatling > tatami > sj.PSD still net a guaranteed knockdown? I'm asking this as a beginner Baiken player.
-
What makes some say that though? I hear her play style has completely changed.
-
Is it true that Baiken is one of the worst characters in the game in +R?
-
lol, no worries. Im just happy I finally found a way I can complete the damn thing. :D It's still gonna take me a while probably, because now I have to learn how to do 2C>sj.2A, which is awkward as fuck to do. Looking at the combos beyond the BnB's, it does seem like alot of Hakumens combos are based on him getting either a CH or an AA That's the Anti air one right?
-
Wow, thanks for the help guys. Things should be much easier now. All these months I've been trying to practice that combo with no success whatsoever, and I could've just taken out that j.B....The difficulty of that combo actually made me drop Hakumen for Valkenhayn, because I thought that Hakumen's execution requirements were though the roof based on me never being able to get that combo once.(testing on Jin) Are any of the other BnB's like that at all?
-
Thanks I also noticed that for the first BnB listed in the combo thread, it differs from the video and the notation given. [starter] > Renka (1) > Kishuu, 2C > j.B > j.2A, AD j.B > j.A, 2C > j.B > j.2A, AD j.2A, j.C is the one in the combo thread, while the accompanying video and notation is: [starter] > Renka(1 ) > Kishuu, 66 2c > j.B > j.2a, AD j.B > j.A, 2c > sj.2a, AD j.2a, j.C I've been practicing the combo thread notation for a very long time(Off and on for a few months) and could never get the 3rd j.B to connect. Should I try the video notation instead, as based on where the dummy ends up after AD j.B > j.A, 2C, it seems like it makes much more sense to super jump and 2a rather than a regular j.B again which always whiffs clean by a fairly wide margin.

Does Hakumen have any non AA or CH 5A/2A/5B combos that require 1 bar or less?
-
Nope, It gives you blonde slayer
-
He obviously meant online. And my Slayer colours are gone. No more Purple suit
-
Nope, nothing. It might have EX mode for Kliff/Justice, as I haven't checked that yet, but other than that, no.
-
I know that, but the marketing leading up to the games release stated otherwise. The trailer even said there would be online modes. I would have bought the game regardless, as its a good preview before the +R patch comes out, but it's the principle of the thing that angers me. Arcsys has been actively incompetent towards their releases and fan base for a while now and this just adds to it.
