Kagura being BB Guile seems pretty interesting. His complexity comes from stance changes it seems. 5D, 4D, 6D, j.D, each with 3 follow ups definitely seems complex. I'm secretly hoping I can play him like normal Guile and still get somewhere in a match. :x -

Lander Blow is probably just a gimmick right now. Cosmic Ray is still used to close the distance sometimes but it doesn't seem to do much else outside of getting it to Fatal. Lightning Arrow does it better though since they fixed the Asteroid Vision paths. Edit: I have this sudden urge to see if I can parry Kokonut's Mecha-Tager beam. -

Goro was CS1 Lambchops God. He could perform surgery from full-screen with those swords. You can see footage of it in EX and CP when he dropped Makoto for a bit. He changed over in CS2. It looked a bit shaky at first but he started slaying people left and right soon enough since it wasn't exactly hard. He wasn't the best at the time, IMO. CS2 had Tsujikawa, Isa, and Ryota running things. He became Tail god in EX, if only because no one was playing her. Nothing has really changed in CP other than Matsu Bang dropping his title as Bang God to play Makoto. He's above-average IMO. He's way nuttier than Goro which gets him in trouble sometimes. He's reached 17th dan a few times but he loses it within a week. He's currently 15th dan after getting thrashed from 17th to 13th. There hasn't been much footage of him lately either. He's still playing her since his match numbers have gone up but he has been playing Bang on the side now. Eda held 17th for a while as well before he dropped to 13th. As of right now, Goro is on the short list of people at 18th Dan along with other character specialists like Ryo Relius and multiple Jins, Hazamas, Litchis and Taos. He's ranked 9th overall last I checked. -
Best all year IMO.

Gone are the days where I would practice those CS1 combos for days on end, just so I could hear my opponents run down the long list of ways to call Makoto a slut. My time with CS1 wasn't long but it was glorious. At least CS2 was awesome. Now she's just... fair... I was planning on not playing BB until CP since I last touched it back in August but everyone here is playing and shit. I guess I should shake off the rust in the last month of EX, especially for the possible squirrel summit at NEC. I can't expect to be decent with CP Mak in just a month of playing. >.> -

You do realize that your advice requires Carl to not do anything right? Eclipse turn has long recovery, not to mention you have to Asteroid vision first. Plus, Ada will destroy you if you just focus on Carl. It doesn't matter if his stuff is telegraphed, Ada is there to stop you from doing anything about it. They're a pair, you know. The key is obviously to separate them which is much harder to do than say. The times that you beat him are the times when you've caught him slipping (read: matchup sucks). Jabbing Ada out of her non-armored moves when you have the chance helps. If you have some breathing room, laying down a Comet Cannon gives you a bit more time since it can shield you from Ada's projectile and makes jump-ins a bit more difficult. Well-timed anti-airs help as long as Ada isn't in your face. Back off if you're in danger of being sandwiched. If you ever catch him alone or Ada is stunned, rush him down and do everything in your power to keep him pinned. If he gets away, you're in for more of the same shit. In general, the matchup is very turtley. Carl is in control for most of it. Against good Carls, you have to be a surgeon with your normals. -

Fenrich is a beast. And to think, we would never have seen his Azrael if his Jin wasn't 18th dan (the stream guys wanted the two players to be of similar dan). He has two characters in the top 30 and he's currently the #1 Azrael, who he's subbing. That's impressive.

If you compare the shoulder and toe angles to the numbers on a clock: left foot pointing at 1, right foot at 2, right shoulder pointing at 6. Normally, if you were facing forward at a slight angle Makoto is at, your shoulders would be at 10 and 4 respectively. Granted, the above is not exact but you can definitely imitate that angle. Makoto's CS portrait has quite a few problems but her spine isn't one of them. I tried applying the same thing to Noel's CS portrait but for some reason, I can't figure out what angle she's starting at so... whatever.

If you parry someone in OD, you can combo after the follow-up without meter. Granted, you have to be on the defensive while in OD so... -

Y'all complain too much and it's always the same thing. Here, have a combo video: http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm21654120 If for some reason, they tech after your OD Corona Upper, mash for some reason, then get hit with OD Meteor Dive... you can get a 10k combo after it with full OD and 100 meter. Yep, you heard right: 10k combo using 125 meter using an OD Meteor Dive starter. At least his other combos are sweet. Oh Kuroku, you so silly when you find time to get away from FF14. -
