  1. I have a training shift at work almost every Thursday evening. Fridays and Saturdays are best, but I don't mind showing up late on Thursday either. Thanks for hosting in the first place
  2. I'm fairly certain that Yamashita placed S.Mitsuru and S.Chie on the tier list, instead of off to the side, because he feels that they are comparable in strength to their normal versions. S.Narukami for example would fit pretty high on any tier list just because he's "still narukami" but he isn't really comparable to his normal version, so he was left out. Any way I look at it, S.Mitsuru being where she is shows that Yamashita believes she's pretty viable. Like you said, Sphinx, she can pretty easily do 7k+ off any hit (even her full Dial A) so long as she builds 100 meter. Instead of dealing lots of damage over time, she's going to try to get 100 meter as fast as possible and land a decent hit. Once those conditions are met, she -should- win the round, but most people would probably choose to save their bursts just for that sort of thing. Lately I've seen several S.Mitsuru players show burst safe routes that prevent people from bursting after shadow berserk. It's not quite as simple/good as S.Chie just doing "God hand > OMC > charge- charge- charge- > God hand" but it definitely makes a difference. S.Mitsuru has her own set of strengths that differ from normal Mitsuru's. I pretty much only have theories right now, but I think we can discuss them in a few weeks, after we've had some experience with the game.
  3. JP version is finally confirmed region free https://twitter.com/hc0519/status/503845589553909760 DLC from the previous version carries over https://twitter.com/hc0519/status/503850075894730752 Although I'm not sure if DLC from the NA version of p4a will carry over to the JP version of p4u2.
  4. With how new the game is, I'm sure everyone is wrong about every matchup. We'll get there someday. also, p4u2 hype is real
  5. Was Kevin there? It sounds like Kevin was there.
  6. Room 201 in the main building (the one closest to baseline).
  7. I found out the speed increase already happened a few weeks ago, but it was only for download speeds, which doesn't exactly help with netplay.
  8. There was someone playing Carmine the last time I went to Tempered's place, but I'm terrible at remembering names. Apparently cox is doubling internet speeds in my area? Which is Ruben's and Kevin's area? A few people told me but I'm too lazy to look into it. Maybe cox wants to fix my 0 bar on Uniel.
  9. I'll be there next time. Gonna be busy this weekend.
  10. I've used phalanx (236B) midscreen to replace IAD combos, just to be lazy. Something like 3C > 22C > 5B > TCL > 236B > 22C > 5B > j.B > j.C > dj.D should work. In the corner you can use phalanx to pick the opponent up off the ground without needing to use 2C. Something like 5BB > 236B > 5B > TCL > 5B > 2C > 5B > aerial.
  11. Next time we do an online lobby I'll be practicing a sub, either merkava, carmine, or vatista. Online Hilda doesn't play correctly and doesn't let me practice the situations that I need to know how to deal with.
  12. I might duck out to go eat with some friends. If you guys are still going when I get back then I'll join.
  13. Warhound, I edited out some of the language from your post. Keep it PG. Also guys, please try to just ignore stupid ranting and maybe gamefaqs in general. It doesn't contribute anything so it's best to just leave it out of this thread.
  14. I've talked with the security guard several times since then and he's cool with us being there, even if Jimmy is really late (or maybe doesn't even make it). He's pretty relaxed about the whole thing, and really only cares that we eat our food in the hallway instead of the room itself. I'll be there closer to 2 with another setup for UNIEL, but I can switch my console over to whatever other games people want later on. edit: more setups the better. If you can bring one, please do.
  15. The throw OS is universal for all of the characters and is by far the most prevalent. Pretty much anything else you'll come across are for very specific situations, usually only working against one or two characters. Nothing worth mentioning comes to mind right now.
  16. I wonder how fast we can cancel into phalanx after absorbing something. Phalanx is ridiculously fast already, so if we can cancel immediately it would be possible to punish many projectiles. Can't wait to see this for myself.
  17. Sorry again for the wait. The first thing I'd suggest is that you try to optimize your confirms a little bit. Try to recognize when you can close out a round and don't be afraid to use some resources to do it. Here you landed a basic confirm in the corner where you could have easily won with a rapid cancel. Just make sure you don't spend meter when it wont kill or give you better positioning. Here you spent the meter for BHS but I feel it wasn't worth it. You could have just gone for dash sentinel oki after TCL, or gone for a Rapid combo for corner carry + a weakpoint. Azrael has a lot of potential for his confirms so it's best to use your meter wisely. Watching the winner's final video it seemed like your opponent was heavily relying on throws and being pretty obvious with them (running at you from a distance). terumi's high/low mixup isn't very strong, so if you picked up on his throw habits it would become very difficult for him to open you up. You should consider using a throw OS (option select) by pressing back + ABC. If he throws you you will tech it, and if he doesn't then you'll just get barrier. It isn't perfect and can get TRM'd (throw reject miss) but I doubt this particular player would do anything about it. Watching more of the video, I can't stress enough how important it is for you to practice confirming into combos. Turning stray hits into damage + a knockdown + a weakpoint would be a huge boost to your game. Occasionally you mash 2A , get a hit, but don't capitalize in any way. Common ways to pressure and confirm off 2A are 2A > 5A > stuff and 2A > 2B > stuff. In any situation where you are landing hits but not confirming into combos, look at the situation later and try to find an easy way to make it work. It takes a little practice but it isn't very hard once you get the hang of it. Counter Hit gustaf, like Here, can easily be confirmed into 5BB > TCL or 2B > TCL at longer range. Hope this helps a little bit. Good luck and keep practicing. Grats on winning your tournament
  18. Thanks for hosting Dippy and Tempered. Good to see Luke again. Hope you can make the trip down from Tucson occasionally. GGs. I think Ruben got the room from 1pm and onwards.
  19. At the end of the day, I'm mostly just glad that Azrael looks a little different. Finding new things is my favorite thing.
  20. Thanks for checking it out Kinkuli! https://twitter.com/hc0519/status/497219206400593920 https://twitter.com/hc0519/status/497219324109541376 Ho-Chan tweeting about the loketest: "Azrael - super close after 236A - rekka wall-stick - DP cancellable into projectile - DP is only proj invul - 2C has much longer recovery - JD, J2D on hit put opponent far away - 6B doesn’t put opponent into air"
  21. We literally know nothing more than "Leapard Launcher causes wallstick." Nothing more than that. It doesn't necessarily mean that something that works now wont work later, or that something similar or better wont be possible. Please don't jump to conclusions about a change-list that we don't know everything about and is most-definitely not finalized yet. Long story short, it's too early to freak out about nerfs/buffs/etc. I'm not seeing it yet, but if I end up noticing a bunch of people complaining about something as pointless as this, I wont feel bad about deleting some posts.
