  1. Thanks Verimeloni! I'm going to be MIA for a few weeks. I'll update some of the threads and quietly do the mod thing, I just wont be posting. See you guys later.
  2. I'm sorry but I didn't figure it out. I feel like I would learn more in 5 minutes of training mode than I did in a whole weekend of stopping by the atlus booth. edit: I'm going to be MIA for a few weeks. 3. Honestly, you just need to input it as fast as you can. I just input the dash and roll my stick almost 360 asap. As far as testing if it's fast enough to catch ID, you'll just need to test it in training mode with a recording. You can get used to how it feels execution wise when you are fast enough, or too slow.
  4. That's a possibility, but the time between B coup and SB coup was so little that it looked like a gatling or something. I'm so curious about this...
  5. Doesn't seem to work. In retrospect, it's probably a good thing. Otherwise, confirming A coup > OMC > dash 5A would be really finicky.
  6. My theory was that the input for droit changes in shadow berserk from charge [4]6a/b to no charge 46a/b. I'll be more than happy to test it out Friday at evo.
  7. More the merrier, please bring it if you don't mind.
  8. Brkrdave got thrown in my pool. Eh, I'll wait until pools are actually finalized to worry about it.
  9. Erik's pool got fixed. Jiyuna, ivysaur, and Xie all got moved out. Now it's just bken and.... Dora. Slightly better I suppose?
  10. Jimmy is in N-O's bracket http://evo2014.s3.amazonaws.com/brackets/bbcp_h1.html Erik has a death pool if I've ever seen one. Bken, Jiyuna, Ivysaur, and James Xie http://evo2014.s3.amazonaws.com/brackets/bbcp_h6.html Will and Kevin are in the same pool, along with Spark... http://evo2014.s3.amazonaws.com/brackets/bbcp_h9.html Justin is in a pool with Kirbster (Good Rachel Player?)... http://evo2014.s3.amazonaws.com/brackets/bbcp_i2.html I'm in Matoi's Pool, RIP http://evo2014.s3.amazonaws.com/brackets/bbcp_i6.html Lorenzo is in a pool with Jona (very strong Valk) and Ludwig (Naoto player, not sure how much he plays BB) http://evo2014.s3.amazonaws.com/brackets/bbcp_j1.html Marvin's Pool... Besides Vineeth (ApologyMan), I don't recognize anyone http://evo2014.s3.amazonaws.com/brackets/bbcp_j3.html
  11. Pretty much everything is in or around Tempe. Here's the tournament location: University of Advancing Technology 2625 W Baseline Rd, Tempe, AZ 85283 Room 201
  12. Oh my gosh it's cheesecake labrys We'll have one more BlazBlue tournament on Saturday the 5th in Tempe. I'm planning on playing some Persona when I'm there anyway to help get ready for Evo, so feel dree to stop by for that. I'll post the information later tonight. After evo, we will likely be setting up Monthly tournaments for BB (and P4U2 once it comes out).
  13. The main factor for getting j.D > RC j.C to work is height. You need to be a significant amount of space below the opponent. By delaying j.D after jump canceling the first j.C, you give the opponent more time to move up, while also allowing Azrael to stop moving upward. If the opponent is higher when you land your anti-air 5A/5B, things will work more consistently. If the are lower to the ground, either add an extra normal in your aerial, (5A/5B > j.A > j.B > j.C...) or don't bother with it at all. There is nothing about j.D that would ever cause the opponent to fall faster or slower by delaying it.
  14. There will be one more ranbat a week from Saturday. I'll set the Facebook page up when I get home from work tonight.
  15. In the corner: D bufu (3 hits) > 5AA > 5B > 2B > 2DD > [4B] > B coup > D bufula J.B or 2A > D bufu > sweep > B coup > 2A > 2B > C bufu > [5B] > sweep > B coup
  16. He has a great set of overheads (5D/6D), decent lows (2A/3C/3D, 3D kind of looks like 6D so it tricks people up). Falling mixup is fairly strong, using falling j.A > airdash j.A > j.B or falling j.A > (land) 2A. Throws are always an option. If you add crossups into the mix, I don't really see how you can think he doesn't have anything worth going for. His average reward is higher than most characters too. Sometimes, netplay is the best you can hope for until you get a chance to travel to a tournament. It's far from the best thing in the world, but at least it's something.
  17. The most consistent way I've found is to input 2362366A. Just input the double quarter circle forward like normal, and when it's time to press A, just press forward one more time.
  18. I liked yugioh before a few people described how easy it was to break the game. My old Dragon deck was pretty good for being made by a ten year old.
  19. Thanks for showing up, guys. It was fun, but pretty overwhelming for a while. Hopefully I can get some help running the brackets next time, just so I can feel ok playing some casuals here and there.
  20. Reminder that the second BB ranbat is today. I'll be there sometime between 1:00 and 2:00 to set up. It looks like we can run the tournament around 5:00 or 5:30, once everyone gets there.
  21. I'm pretty sure N-O and Dogura are gonna take a big slice of that. Tournament is sounding more exciting by the week. ajkgdkajbfgasgbaeshgjgaesbhjgbhjahgajkhbgjbahdsgvjhasgvuygbaw
  22. Tahichi was strong for a while, but he focuses on Persona now, so 1.1 footage of him is non-existent. Luckily there's PLENTY of Dogura footage, probably more than all the other notable footage combined (imo). If you're set on watching someone else, Ikamen is one of my favorites, although there is hardly any footage of him. Take a look at the most recent posts in the video thread and skim through some matches to see which players you like. I must warn you, though. There's a reason everyone suggests to watch Dogura. There is an enormous gap in skill and decision making between him and basically everyone else. He's definitely the best place to start.
  23. I think everyone did a pretty good job covering most of your concerns, so I'll avoid repeating the same things. 3) If you are having trouble getting in on Naoto players who are trying to zone you, I would suggest trying to do the same thing. Zoning in general is not meant to "open you up" or "mix you up". It's mostly meant to allow the player to play safe, as well as punish the other player for taking risks (usually revolving around trying to approach). Unless the opponent has a life lead, there isn't usually a compelling reason to risk trying to "get in". Besides, Mitsuru isn't a rushdown character in the first place. She has long, safe normals, which are usually best used to do the same thing that these Naoto players are attempting to do to you. When I think about it, it's sort of funny when I see people play characters in ways that contradict their strengths. Mitsuru is best at playing it safe, and she lacks a good mixup game (her only "real" overhead requires 50 meter to confirm). So when I see people trying to mix people up with her in risky fashion, I can't help but smile. I guess my TLDR point here is to be OK with taking things slow. While I wouldn't necessarily say Mitsuru is a fantastic zoning character, where she can't pressure the opponent at full-screen, I would argue that she has the one of the best Neutral games in persona right now. At the very least, it can't hurt to see how the naoto players change things up once they realize that you aren't going to kill yourself by trying to constantly advance.
