I'm going to kind of test the waters tech-wise tonight at around 11 central time; once I get it up and running if anyone wants to stick around I'll be up for a while.

The bi-weekly ranbat for BB/P4/GG is tomorrow (Saturday) at 2:00, you're more than welcome to come play casuals or enter the tournament, the atmosphere is pretty laid back. So depending on my work schedule this weekend (or possibly next weekend) I want to try hosting like an English Naoto Symposium stream where people can converse and throw out ideas and possibly come up with some new stuff and discuss leveling up our gameplay. Or alternatively we can all get drunk and complain about almost getting out of pools at EVO. Decide the destiny. Anyone down?

They're cheap enough that you don't have to be that guy. 2) The community has been kind enough to haul their stuff out so they can practice and play their matches. Please don't take up the limited table space we're given with games that aren't related to the ranbat or the scene. Melty Blood/Doujin games are fine, but if you want to play street fighter, smash, marvel, etc. there are meet-ups and events for those that I'm sure would provide you with better (but less kawaii) competition. 3) If you come just to play casuals, I still have to collect the $3 venue fee to compensate the owners for the use of their space. As for adding games, I think it would fit relatively comfortably time-wise and possibly increase turnout considering the two games people expressed interest in (Yatagarasu and E's Laf) are both PC only and the brackets would inevitably be smaller. I might try running the main tournaments differently this time to cut down on empty set-ups or have the side tournaments as single elim or teams or something. The only issue would be space, but if we can get a small table with a notebook on either side, we should only need one set-up for each game. If anyone has other suggestions for games they'd like to see go ahead and throw them out before this weekend so we can gauge interest if there's a meetup.

Naoto cosplayers are good people.

You just have to play her differently. Air turn mix-up is strong, traps are your best way of creating real mix-up, and the fact that she gets like 5k or 8 fate counters off a throw from anywhere on screen once she has meter means tick throw is more important for her than it is for other characters.

The crouching note is that Teddie doesn't get hit by the C trap in the SB if he's crouching, so it's not possible against teddie.

A heads up for the next ranbat, it will be at the same location on the fifteenth. 1) Now that we have the rhythm down somewhat, the schedule and format from here on out will be as follows: If you're bringing a set up and/or want to play casuals, you can show up as early as 1:15 (please do) and I or someone else with banchou powers will be there. 2) I'd like to see everyone get warm and play their best, so provided we get five setups again, starting at 2:30 three setups will be used to run the tournament games in succession.
