Yeah, he really didn't held back against her. I was so confused by that palette before the first OD combo. Seriously, who thought that was a good idea? Jokes aside, these combos are pretty legit, can easily see some of them being used in real matches, nice find.

Central Fiction Arcade Plot Discussion (spoilers)

Holy Zen! Actually, that was just GG's way to give a middle finger to Mori. Zedar pretty much explained how a Life Link works. If X or Y are alive, both are alive. Why? Plot shenanigans! Now the Kotowari Black Beast is a lot more interesting. I thought the Black Beast couldn't be killed because people couldn't eliminate the seithr with standard weapons, so it either just shrugged it off or regenerated after being hit. I mean, I thought only things like Chrono Phantasmas and other things that resisted the Embryo mind wipe were things outside of the world's logic. (Except for Jin and his Power of Jank Order) -

I don't think I've noticed the same effect during cutscenes, so Lambda's Aura is probably a gameplay exclusive thing... We're so close and yet so far to Act II that's getting hard to discuss things... So let's try one of our resident logic bombs. Life-link. How come Rachel and Naoto have one before meeting each other for the first time? Did someone ever managed to explain that jank in the first place? What do we need to know about Bloodedge Experience before Ragna croaks for like, 5 minutes and shenanigans happen? Just throwing some bait here so people don't derail the thread (Myself obviously included and on top of the list), it's not like we'll discuss this after Act II drops anyway... -

She's trying to catch up with Litchi and Bullet. I think the bigger question is how long will it take for whoever illustrates them to follow suit. -

It's even worse. When Izayoi finds Jin inside of the embryo, She says that thanks to the Zero-Weave Izayoi she managed to avoid being affected by the embryo. Tsubaki's fight with Nine can't possibly be canon. I think she actually activated the Izayoi after the fight with Kagura when she noticed something was off with her memories, but I might be missing something since I haven't seen Tsubaki's Act I Arcade Mode. (Or the end of Izayoi's.) -

Wait. I don't remember that. I really don't want to replay CP all over again until CPEX arrives on Steam, what part was it? -

And that's the kind of thing that pops up After we got a translated library mode in CPEX. Y'know, that one made to solve this kinds of questions and provide consistency about the technical terms of the series. 10/10. I thought Mind Eater is a weaker variant of Ruby: Mind Eater, with Ruby not only controlling the victim but overwriting their will. Are there other differences? -

I dunno, Observers are still a thing. But well, Mori is pretty much assuring us Ragna will die before the end of the series... But no one stays dead in this series... I need a drink. -

Come to think of it, The main reason Jin, Hakumen and Izayoi pack torches and pitchforks whenever they get near Ragna is because of the Beast. Sure, Jin has a bad case of whatever he has with Ragna, but the Power of Order pretty much ensures he'll go rabid near Ragna anyway. Hakumen actually has more beef with Nu since she killed Tsubaki, but having to deal with another beast and having Ragna exist to make sure someone will pop a Murakumo to try and awaken his beast aren't cool in the book of justice. Aka his diary. Izayoi is pretty much, like "He beat the s*** out of Jin and made everything bad. Imma stab him." So again, beast shenanigans. Funny part is that Ragna didn't do anything personally to get any of those three people obsessed with killing him. Perhaps a Beastless Ragna will have less people trying to kill him so we can get a somewhat happier ending to this game? -

Actually, she's still packing that Nox that can make things out of thin air. Things like a body to eject Izanami from Saya. On the other hand, the plot is getting more and more serious. There is a pretty high chance of her getting the Tao treatment. She can even literally vanish since her own existence is unstable in the first place. I'd still place my bets on Muchourin pulling them back to the plot though. No one stays dead in this series. -

Pretty much. She wants Ragna to get the killing blow. If the rest goes up as cannon fodder or manage to at least weaken Izanami.. She's not evil, she's a pokémon trainer! Where's Tagerchu? But yeah, wanting to destroy the world, observing and manipulating everyone, pretty much sending people on a suicide mission (Including her sister)... She's acting so much like Relius (and Terumi to a lesser extent) that's actually eerie. Or maybe she doesn't really have much of a choice. After all, why would she be mad at Amaterasu right before sending Celica to punch Izanami in the face? -

Nine be like "ho ho ho. Kill that b**** and I'll make ALL of your dreams come true!" On a less comedic note, I really like the Tao and Ragna dynamic. His CS story gave him so much depth character -wise because of that. Not to mention that while Ragna basically dine n' dashes from every restaurant when he's with Tao, compared to the usual stuff he gets, bankruptcy isn't that bad, right? -

After re-hearing it a bunch of times I think it's Kokonoe too. Voice is different from Nine's and has that distinct "thing that I don't know how to translate related to voice tone". Like she haven't drink a glass of water in the whole day or something. Nine doesn't have it. Koko does. I don't even know if I'm making sense right now. Feels like I'm playin' CP story mode or something. Also, Tao feels as relevant as always lol. -
The struggle is real. Tip: Don't main Murakumos if they're not mu-12. You'll always have to spend a year learning them and then having to do it all over again in the next patch. 1.1 Terumi was cool. Can't really say much after that because it's the only version I played, but with 236D being pretty much junk in CF, doesn't really seem I'll have a great time playing him there. Unless I manage to land The OverHEAD. That move is sick.

Well, CPs arcade ending was extremely upbeat. We all know how well the game ended. Maybe this time we're in for a happy ending? Do we have any "Training Mode" heroes posting videos with the new BBCF themes like we had back in CP? Y' know, those matches when dudes barely do anything and mostly just test normals and stuff and because of that we can basically hear the full theme on the background? (I remember some videos with people just going on vs and holding down for the entire match lol.)

That is one mean mix-up. Their voices are similar and it was just on Nine's picture. 0/10, makes Terumi jealous. Thanks for the heads-up though. -

I thought that vs. intro was introduced in the Nine Patch, seems I was wrong then. I've seen the Ragna x Naoto one. Looks like Ky vs. Sol in AC. Shippers must've got crazy because of that one lol. Yeah, looks like waiting for the end of January is the only option. Bleep. -

Yeah, Nine pretty much said she's motivated by what she found out after she got dunked in the Boundary. We don't know jack about how she got resurrected in the first place, Ragna's evil is probably related to why Nine decided to sic the Mad Dog at him, we pretty much got that covered. Amaterasu is a huge, huge can of worms that is probably going to be opened in Act 3 and drive us insane for good. Oh, I remember that Arakune quote. Pretty much foreshadowing that Amaterasu was in fact observing everything to see if she got what she wanted. Takamagahara was a thing back then too. Could be something else too, sure, but a single quote from Calamity Retconned can only foreshadow so much. By the way, "We're all being watched." Brb, gotta make more coffee. The chain stuff could be a flashback from Nine's awakening before Phantom Irony Shenanigans. The Boundary is easily the greatest mystery right now. Everything is converging to Amaterasu being the big deal of Story Mode. Any other special intro differences aside from Azrael's Guard Disrespect? Those could be the greatest clues that we'll get until Act II. Unless someone subs Bururaji and they drop a plot bomb just to keep the hype going. -

Totally wasted the chance of using Valiant Hype Train kicks to guard break so we could all make some jokes. Oh well, at least we got more plot in the arcade release to discuss. Genius. Speaking of which, some of the arcade endings have a close-up of Nine smiling. Like, red and gold eyes and full psycho smile. Sleep 4 What? The bad part of Act 2 will be the generalized reaction of mostly everyone when they realize what's going on. At least one scene rightfully wasted for half of the cast. Don't like, want moar plotz. Still, "Just what is the source of the unending tragedy's repetition? A shocking truth will become known." that sounds kinda interesting. Plot Twist or did our theories untwisted it already? Edit: Wait, hold up. I didn't notice a small detail in the Act 2 trailer. Probably since it came right after Azrael crushed a shard of the Azure and showing every kid out there what happens if they brush their teeth. Nine was bound. By black chains. Just like Rachel in CS. As in, the same type of chains she used to bound her. She's also asking "Then why did our Mother?" (Thanks Abelcru) What the? Mooooorrrrrriiiiiiiiiiii!!!!!!! -

Volt replied to Chaoschao222's topic in Zepp Museum
When we pay attention to this game's plot, no matter why or when there's always a moment when everyone stops, breathes and says: "I have no idea about what's going on." The only (temporary?) answer is to scream while looking skyward: "Moooooorrrrrrriiiiiiii!!!!!!" Ok, seriously, maybe Relius had a bit of an influence on Nine. Some of her actions look like pure "What if? styled Science". Some are somewhat understandable, like sending Azrael to force Ragna to go all out and wind up having to deal with the elephant in the room that we call "Rags' Black Beast". Obviously we can't have an encore of what happened at the end of CP if Ragna is going to body Izanami. Amane knows too much and does too little, so he needed a push. Like Link. Carl somewhat reached his endgoal. Bring Ada to her body, kill Relius. Not really helpful to the plot, especially since Relius is well... Relius. If someone can pull some crazy plot devices like sealing Izanami to a puppy and kicking it, that's either him or Terumi. Nine doesn't exactly dig the second option. Have no idea about Litchi though. Less drama, blobs and I dunno, get her to stick to a side I guess. I don't really know, it doesn't look like she's pulling the strings alone on this one, so maybe she's either following orders that doesn't make much sense now or she's just trying to do a quick patch on people so they can focus on hatin' Izanami. -

Tager surrounded by bodies explanation: Kagura commented on Bullet's Hot Pants and she flipped out. On a much more serious note, dat plot. Thanks for translating the summaries of the arcade endings Zedar. So, we know a lot about the arcade act I right now... Dammit Mori, how are you supposed to end this thing if everytime you answer a question you put 3 in its place? Act II looks like we predicted though, Nine sics everyone but Azrael at Nine during act I, but it appears she's handing out shards of the Azure to everyone in the prologue of Act II, or else Azrael' picture will make even less sense. (I mean, fine you can rip a dimensional prison and get back to a world mostly nuked by seithr and get inside of the embryo and still wreck everyone with your bare hands, but crushing that plot device? Really?) Question is: We don't know what snapped Nine out of Mind Eater. For all intents and purposes, if that azure orb of flames is a fragment of the azure and arakune didn't play dumb in the trailer, shouldn't Amaterasu be packing that blue heat? Btw, poor Amane. Dude be like: "I just want to watch" and then Nine fights him and says "Nope, now you're involved. Now go fulfill your duties in the plot, such as making Ragna miserable (like everyone else lol.) and drill the **** out of Izanami. Mori loves you, have fun." -
Ok, even if Ragna's death manages to stick this time, (CPEX feels like a regret-based retcon.) I don't think the current cast can take the protagonist's mantle. (Or blood soaked coat) With a few exceptions. Naoto - Duh. Naoto looks like a Ragna replacement no matter how you slice it. Unfortunately due to Arcsys "No export for you" policy, I have no idea of who he is and how Bloodedge Experience popped in the continuity like that. The fact that absolutely no one ever mentioned that Rachel apparently has a sister that don't dig clothes is lulzy, even though I can imagine why Rachel wouldn't commentate about her. But then again, I don't even know squat about BE. Kagura - Gag reels aside, Kagura was one of the main forces in CP and he managed to do some impressive stuff like gathering half of the cast to help him (including containing Jin, Noel, Ragna and Tsubaki in the same room without copious amounts of bloodshed.) The way he managed to get his primary objective done and still get played by the main antagonist of the game leading into a bittersweet ending felt really familiar too. Noel - I can easily see her getting to be Rachel's new favorite pawn. Well, unless Tsubaki stabs her like she asked. Celica - Might suffer a case of too little, too dead, but she does have a tendency to suddenly pop in and steal the spotlight. Ragna revival plots anyone? Which leads us to... Ragna - Rebel 2! Action! It's not like Mori never lied before. Isn't that how we got playable Celica in the first place? Jin - Oddly enough, the last option. Will most likely go crazy and hunt down whoever the antagonist is because it messed with Nii-san and Tsubaki. Decent room for character development though, so it's not unfeasible.

Maining Lambda, maybe Nu if she gets Spike Chaser back, Naoto unless I manage to screw his combos too often (I know that'll happen.) Subbing Terumi, Azrael, probably Mu, maybe Hibiki, Hakumen, Ragna, Izayoi... I dunno. The random select button tend to be my most common sub sometimes, or at least it used to be until CP went crazy and decided to drop hitstun so I drop all my combos.

I really liked CT Nu. I got so hyped for CP1 Nu that I actually bought a PS3 to play CP, but even Dia forma didn't really felt even close to the original. Maybe she was broken, maybe it was the easy special buttons... (I'm still waiting for their glorious return.) I dunno. I just liked it. CSE Lambda is pretty cool too, but no 5DD > 4DD just makes ground-zoning weird. Same issue I have with CP 1.1 Luna forma.
