  1. ASW already has a problem with people choosing not to buy their games because the updated version will come out eventually. I really don't think it's something they should continue doing, at least not without a DLC add-on option. Hell, for all we know, the dip in sales due to people being turned off by the multiple releases led to an English dub not being as viable an option.
  2. I wonder if it were made a paid DLC download, would people be accepting of it or would it only make things worse...?
  3. I got an e-mail back from support saying that they can't answer on the details of why English voices were not included. But, they will be sure to bring up to the appropriate staff in future meetings how much English voices are wanted. So...meh.
  4. I was trying to tell people that they shouldn't have been so complacent with Rev not getting a dub because that might bleed over into Blazblue. And, welp...here we go. I sent actual ASW an email in Japanese asking them to explain the situation regarding Rev not getting a dub. Let's see if they respond.
  5. Walls o' text going on here. lol I agree that Robo-Ky was a little WTF in this story and that Bedman probably should've tried a bit harder to attack Venom while he was charging his lazer. But, I don't really see any good reason why Ariels had to be a sympathetic villain. I think she works just fine as completely batshit. We got the backstory and her overall motivation. From there, the fun is yet to come with basically the entire world being turned on its head due to the world's religious leader actually being a murderous psycho. We don't need to feel sorry for her on top of that. And then a lot of characters working together just comes from people actually being human and knowing when to table bullshit. If anything, it would've been more stilted to have in-fighting for no real reason other than "drama" and preserving a character's pigeon-holed role/archetype. There's some other complaints I could pick apart, but then this would be a wall o' text, too. lol
  6. Yeah, the first three notes in the chorus of One Dawn are the same as Marionette (A-G-F, quarter-quarter-half). It's unfortunately glaring since it's right at the start, but nothing else in the chorus melody is the same. But, I like how...serene they made it. Like you're in a field with daisies and stuff. METAL DAISIES. There's a lot of major chords in there, when Awe of She was basically all sadness. And the strings are really prominent. I'd say this song really stands out among the others in the game.
  7. Pain biters? lol
  8. Yeah, it was pretty funny. "Next is BIRTHDAY TRAIN!" *Band starts playing Sky Should Be High* "Oh." It was still cool. I feel like they should've done more classic songs, but it was very well put together. They had 2 guitars, bass, and drums. The missing instruments were on a backing track, including a harmony guitar. It was kind of unfortunate that we didn't have the live keyboard and violin this time. Naoki Hashimoto seems like a really cool guy. There were several errors, but he still sold it really well. Dude cranked out 15 songs like a champ. The set list: Safe Intoxication Shotgun&Head Sky Should Be High -Vocal Version- Birthday Train Original Bet Juno Bao Babel Nose TSUKI NO SHIHAI Wanna Be Crazy Storyteller All I Can Do Marionette Holy Orders (Be Just or Be Dead) Still in the Dark Heavy Day Divide My Heart Ride the Fire! Icarus *encore* Six Black Heavens Guns *encore* Big Blast Sonic *encore* Lily Daisuke played on Still in the Dark and Heavy Day, though as far as I could tell, he was mirroring the rhythm guitar and not playing a separate part. It's kind of funny how shy of a person he actually is. As you can see, the only songs not from SIGN or REVELATOR were Holy Orders and Still in the Dark. And Naoki did wayyyyyyy more than I thought he would. Alas, maybe next time I'll finally get my Pride and Glory and Meet Again. lol Some cool things to take note of: They "let slip" that they were going into the recording studio next week for...something. You all can probably guess why. The rhythm guitarist in the concert, Norichika Sato (he's not on the concert site), was the one who composed the main menu music (Django Django), the online music (Ocean), and the practice music (High Voltage). A couple others as well. There will be a CD and DVD of the concert(s). They will feature selections from both concerts. Likely, they'll choose the best version of the songs from each. Pre-orders are up on Japanese Amazon and it's currently scheduled for Sept. 28th release. The CD/DVD combo is a one time printing limited edition. But, the CD will just be sold normally. The official REVELATOR soundtrack was sold at the concerts. The likelihood of it hitting the interwebs sometime soon is probably more than 0. But, if you can buy it legally...etc., etc. I'm pretty sure those are all the main takeaways from the concert.
  9. I think that the ending to The Tuner is pretty lame. Especially compared to the opening. The beginning is all mystical sounding and the ending is just...okay, we're done.
  10. Oh, don't worry. There's still time for them to decide to not do an English dub for Blazblue Central Fiction. lol
  11. You misunderstand. The North American publisher said that there wasn't going to be an English dub.
  12. Needs moar Suspicious Cook (Dr. Baldhead). That song was the jam. Are they still trying to pretend that Faust isn't Dr. Baldhead? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! THE RULES!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GET RID OF IT!!!!! lol
  13. Keep in mind that (if they don't sell out beforehand), tickets will be sold at the door if you get there early. If you reeeeeeeeeally want to be sure and buy the ticket beforehand, I can probably help you out in some way. Send me a private message if you're interested.
  14. They've revealed a small piece of the setlist for the concert on the site. #1 - Holy Orders (Be Just or Be Dead) [of course] #2 - Still in the Dark [of course] #9 - Marionette [yaaaaaaaay] #10 - Heavy Day [sure, okay] Do you have a friend in Japan that could maybe get a ticket for you?
  15. If anyone cares, Tsuki no Shihai means "The Moon's Domination". It sounds like Naoki sings it and not Junya. Maybe he got sick of doing it. He seemed to not really want to talk about his vocal stuff when he did the GGXrd art presentation. lol
  16. It's not just the "aru" at the end, though. Her sentence intonation and such are completely off. It's immediately apparent that she's "foreign" in Japanese. So, I anticipate the Chinese restaurant lady from Blazblue in terms of how it's handled in English VA.
  17. Dat Hibiki theme is FIYAH.
  18. Ky themes too stronk. Since when do people like Blue Water Blue Sky more than other songs? First I've heard of it. I really hope Keep the Flag Flying (Order Sol vs. Ky) makes it into the concert. I think that's a pretty underrated one.
  19. I think Walpurgisnacht ends too...abruptly. Like it seems like it should have a double chorus at the end at least. Right now, it's like, "Annnnnnnnd, we're done. Everybody go home."
  20. Hahaaaaa, Alice from Bloody Roar 4. It makes so much sense, now...
  21. I just kind of want them to use some character themes that they haven't done yet. The last concert had Jin, Tsubaki, Jin vs. Tsubaki, and Izayoi, and then Hazama, Terumi, and Boss Hazama. As well as some other songs that they've performed 2-3 times already. Like, they're going out of their way to not get some more variety going. Litchi? Arakune? Tager? Carl? These characters have been there from the start are not beyond live performances by any means.
  22. That did not stop some of the actors from using aliases. Karen Strassman was left out of the credits of MKX for some reason, yet she voices frickin' Kitana AND Mileena. So, you never know. If Calabrisi is just an alias, then that's just going to screw things up even more.
  23. If anyone needs to listen to Johnny's or Jack-O's themes specifically, they play back to back in this stream thanks to random practice mode dude. http://www.twitch.tv/joniosan/v/12644690?t=12m31s
  24. Well, it's not. It's similar, though.
  25. You can hear, like, 20 whole seconds of Johnny's theme in this vid from Famitsu. lol https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CCfsAMypHIA
