Persona 4: The Ultimax Ultra Suplex Hold Story Thread (spoilers)

Do we know this for a fact? I don't think there's ever been a confirmation, and Sho vs. SHO's win quote is: -

Yeah, that and he apparently knows more about what's going on than the Investigation Team do. -
Pff, hahaha.

Persona 4: The Ultimax Ultra Suplex Hold Story Thread (spoilers)

Man, I gotta replay through P4A's story mode again. There are probably so many hints to P4A2's that I didn't catch on the first time through. Watching through this Shadow Akihiko video, it's almost a certainty in my mind that SHO Minazuki is the one who assumes the guise of the cast's Shadows i.e. the Malevolent Entity. It also reasserts that this "mastermind" is responsible for kidnapping Labrys and throwing her inside of the television and he also calls Labrys his "puppet", just like SHO does in P4A2. The ME also states "This one's desire to make people suffer was perfectly suited for such a plan" in reference to the person in question's heart; their Persona. It's evident from that phrasing that the ME isn't talking about Akihiko, but talking about someone else. I think that someone else is Sho, perhaps implying that SHO is indeed taking control of Sho in order to facilitate the execution of SHO's plan to assemble an army of powerful Shadows. Nevermind, the striked out part was referring to Labrys. -

That actually might be where I got the information from and I'm misremembering. If that's true, then I guess we wouldn't really know the identity of "the kid." Edit: Wait, actually they had come from the same win quotes I think we're talking about that I had read before. They were written differently, though: "I just want to protect her. Heh, this has nothing to do with you, of course." and "I am going to protect her and kill anyone who gets in my way." I guess some assumed that the "her" in question was Aigis. They were posted on this page of this thread. -

In story synopsis articles that were initially put up for P4A2 (and there might be other sources, but I'm not sure), it was stated that Sho wants to "protect" Aigis no matter what. It might even be stated in some arcade mode stories. -

There might be a minor translation error there? Because that sounds like exactly what he's been saying about Aigis. Unless he also refers to her as "that kid." Or maybe it just might be something else that we're unaware of. -

Ah, that actually does make sense. Seems there's still no confirmation to Shadow Labrys having an arcade mode story or not, which I'll take to mean that she doesn't. Wonder if she'll have any play in the final story itself. -

Both versions have different sets of quotes? That's kinda weird, if that's what you implied. -

I'm pretty sure we don't actually know what Sho's goal is. I thought the conceit of the story is that the merging of the TV world and the real world already happened due to the red fog and perhaps other reasons, which is also why everyone has disappeared except for the Persona users. All we know about Sho's motivations is that he used Labrys as his puppet in P4A because she was "like him" and that he wants to "save" Aigis. What he actually does in the arcade mode ending cliffhangers that will "change the world", we don't know (unless it's like the merging of the entire world with the TV world and not just Inaba). -
She did a million damage when she did EX Air Rampage at lvl 3 power charge. Not the most exciting of updates, but bug fixes are bug fixes. Sounds like Junpei got a small Victory Cry status buff.

That's not what I'm talking about when I say "ridiculous." What I'm talking about is the nonsense speculation that some come up with like what you're saying as though Persona 4 or P4A2 will lead into Persona 5 or that Takaya will be involved. Now THAT is ridiculous. -

Wrapping everything up implies "everything", to me. This means the Malevolent Entity's identity will be known and his current story, closed. There are way too many questions out there to assume that anything will be swept under the rug. What will come of Elizabeth gaining the Fool arcana? Will we discover the identity of the girl the anti-Shadow weapons Labrys and Aigis are based on? There's the identity of who the "Eerie Voice" was, which is presumably Sho. Why is Adachi there? Why is Tartarus back? Why have members of the Shadow Operatives been crucified? etc. They don't want any loose ends, so I'm not expecting any dumb cliffhangers this time. They didn't explicitly, but you're insane if you think that P4U2 or even P4D will tie into Persona 5 in any meaningful way at all. -

This was Hashino's response to a P4A2 question in the Persona magazine: Interesting stuff. Sounds like everything left in the air from P4A is actually going to be wrapped up in its sequel and, if there's a P4A3, it indeed will have a distinctly different direction in terms of story. -
Damn, that's some intense pressure. Seems this Sho always saves his meter to use those EX cross-up moves (and EX whatever that overhead-looking sword attack is). Haven't looked up how exactly it all works, but it seems that those dodges lead to some cool mix-ups and cross-ups. Guess those might be more important to playing Sho than I had previously thought.

Depends on the kind of Silence, but sure.
-
Can someone elucidate me on the advantages normal Sho has compared to Persona SHO? It seems that all I see since he was made available is Persona Sho and no one's playing his normal variation. I guess not having to manage Persona cards could be one. Another would be that the Silence status doesn't matter. Those aren't great advantages, though. I don't know if his command dashes are that great, either.

I don't remember him mentioning that at all. The only thing he said in regards to motivation for throwing Labrys inside the television was: ""Heh Heh Heh… That is correct. I am just like you. That is why I chose you. But it seems you were nothing but a hindrance in the end. Of course, it does not matter… It is already too late."" -

We don't know, so the latter. It's not definite whether or not both Sho characters share the same physical body or not, either. -

The very fact that Arena is mentioned in the P4G epilogue makes it appear canon more than not. There's no indication whatsoever that the epilogue and P4D are not canon and, given the emphasis of the plot for the dancing game, I think it's safe to assume that that's canon as well. -

I think Yuichiro Tanaka's words from the P4A art book are important when he says: I also wasn't expecting a P4A2, but if I had seen that before Ultimax was announced, it would have been easy to predict a sequel to P4A. We'll have to see if that passion to make Persona a mainstay with the fighting game genre translates to any after P4A2. It's difficult to envision since P4A2 will supposedly wrap the story up, but who knows what an Arena 3 would turn out to be. -

Source for where the devs say that P4G's epilogue is not canon and neither is P4D? Or are you just making that up to suit your argument? -

You do realize that everyone's all happy and joyful at the end of P4G and in P4D, which takes place after P4A2?
