Please keep in mind that we haven't determined if this was intentional or an oversight as of yet, so let's try to keep our hats on and not blow our lids. Hopefully Aksys will get back to us with a response about this quickly, because, yeah, if this was intentional, that would be a /huge/ letdown.

^ what Fuji said.

I'm sure a few more of us will be back into netplaying for the US release -- it has been a bit dry as of late. Be sure to add me on PSN and we can play!

Yeah, I share Tigre's sentiment -- there is a lot more that goes into adding features to a game than "is this a good idea -- should we do it?". Although, I do agree, it would be great to have these features and reaching out and asking is definitely the right way to go, but I would not be surprised at all if their hands were tied, unfortunately.

Think I'm gonna pass on both Iora's and TSB this weekend -- wanna rest up for Summer Jam and I have some freelance work to do.
-
#RIPTSB?
-
I'm still up for Iora's! Jimmy, Setra, if you guys wanna carpool, I can drive up to one of your places after work and we can go? How does that sound? If you guys are not up for TSB/can't go to TSB, I'm fine with that. I'll just come back with you guys in that case. How does that sound?

So -- who's in for TSB this weekend?

ggs to everyone! Had a great time! Thank you for showing up!

Yuzu's lack of a DP really hurts her in some situations -- it means characters that have strong pressure/mix-up can bully Yuzuriha because her defensive options are limited. It's not to say that you can't learn how to deal with it, but it will be harder and it definitely requires more from the player. Also, re: 66C 236A 214B vs. 66[C] 236A 214A, I forgot to mention I used to have to do 66C 236A 6C 214B and it was really annoying! I've been using the 236A 214A version for awhile now and it's very stable, as long as you cancel into 236A pretty late from 66[C]. Unless someone tells me otherwise, I may just stick with that because of ease of use...
-
I feel like you need to delay the 214B heavily to get it to work consistently -- that's how I always got it, but now I use 66[C] 236A 214A 2C instead. Is there any benefit to using the 214B route?

On the topic of panicking, whenever you encounter a situation you are uncomfortable with or unfamiliar with, you always have a set reaction to it. Mashing is the most common response to an unfamiliar situation in fighting games, but experience remedies most of that. The other thing too is, you do need to have some anticipation of what your opponent is planning or thinking of doing, based on numerous factors: the character they are playing, any normals/specials they seem to use, their attention to spacing, et cetera. Again, this is all a matter of experience and then more experience you have, the more easily you will be able to make these assessments. The other thing too is, don't second guess yourself while playing. If you are going to commit to something, commit to it, and if it ended up being the wrong choice, you can take that information and learn from it and incorporate it into your evolving play. You don't want to be fighting your own judgement while you're trying to fight your opponent. Long story short, you need to play more to get more experience and feel more comfortable with your character, the game, and yourself.

I'm down!

I personally like 2C (delay) 4C to fish for people mashing there. 4C confirm is massive damage!
-
Oh, sure! Didn't mean to come off as abrasive -- I just hear people justify not doing something because everyone does it a lot, haha. It's good to point that sorta stuff out, of course.
-
Just because everyone uses it, doesn't make it any less useful. Thanks for the frame data, btw! It's very useful. I've been doing better as of late in terms of matches -- still a long way to go but incorporating battous is the way to go. Once I get more comfortable with her battous and stance stuff, I'm gonna have to learn the more advanced confirms and converts. OTL

Hey! I'm sure people are up for some matches, but we do have the online matchmaking thread, located here: http://www.dustloop.com/forums/index.php?/topic/8749-lm-online-matchmaking/ I'd try posting there first, just to keep things orderly. Since you're EC, I'm sure you'll find plenty of people that can play/wanna play! Feel free to add me on PSN (sugoinadakaineko) - I play AH3LM online regularly and I stream it Tues/Thurs. Gonna lock this thread.
-
I'm going to be streaming a bit of UNI going forward too! http://www.twitch.tv/nadakaineko

Wish I could ban everyone in this thread right now, omfg.

214B seems neutral on block -- I'll test out 214A.
