  1. GG's. So much salt. 6C is netplay un-blockable, accept it. 5K meter-less's everywhere.

  3. Are you sure that Schwarz start's up in 15 frames now? That seems to be pretty damn fast, I figured that it would be around the 17-20 frame mark. In Extend, Schwarz had 22 frames of start-up while Weiss had 15 frames. Odd. Fantastic.
  4. Oh, sweet. Nothing too surprising there. That 6C buff is odd though, I'm very surprised that they would give him that. 6B is still +8 on block, right? If so, then that's great. Keep me posted, hah.
  5. Is this some sort of April Fool's joke? +5? LOL. If this is true, I am going to mash the shit out of 6C in CP (even more then I already do). w[5C] being -9 isn't too much of a surprise. But, nothing was really changed? How peculiar. Do you know what the start-up frames are for w[j.C], w[5C], and Schwarz Jagd?
  6. I'm in the EST/EDT timezone, by the way. Sadly I cannot play from 12-1 a.m tonight since I need to wake up early at around 6:00 a.m. Ah well. I may be able to play at the aforementioned time sometime this week, and if not Thursday currently sounds fine. Sure.
  7. Character specific frame data is supposedly being released/translated from the mook. How fun.
  8. Jager being cancellable into Weiss is hilariously awesome. Let the games begin.
  9. Oh, how welcoming. However, I must assure you; no other Valkenhayn player can surpass my terribleness. I am the pinnacle of abhorrent Valkenhayn's. Ah well.
  10. I used to play Doctor Strange before he was cool. Then Yipes won a major with him. Which was hilarious at the time, since it meant that Doctor Strange (a character that was widely regarded as mid-lowish tier aside from Strange mains such as myself who heavily believed in him) had won more major's then Zero (who is considered to be a top 3 character overall, arguably best character in the game). Hah, funny times. Then again, why am I posting in the the UK GB thread? How odd, I'm going to withdraw for now. Ah well.
  11. If I recall correctly, all versions of Morrigan's soul fists have 5 low priority durability points. There is no "Un-fly Glitch". The character was intentionally designed that way. People have known about Morrigan's fly/un-fly soul fist zoning since Vanilla Marvel. It started becoming a problem in the competitive scene when Chris G added Doom's missiles to the mix and began popularizing the duo. The guy became a monster, while consistently winning with his his initial Morrigan/Doom/Akuma team (later evolved into Morrigan/Vergil/Doom) at places such as The Break and Big Two. UMvC3 is game that develops over a long period of time, and new tech is constantly being discovered on a daily basis. Constantly dishing out patches costs a lot of money. Not to mention the fact that the dev team that was working on UMvC3 has allegedly split up and moved onto other projects. Pumping out 1 giant patch later down the line that covers all the broken shit that the game entails is most likely going to be what's settled upon (this is just an educated guess, of course). However, if I were to nerf MorriDoom in it's current state; I'd personally do these two things: -Morrigan does not gain any meter during astral vision. -Doom's missiles disappear when he is hit. This seems like a justifiable nerf since hidden missiles is considered to be a top assist by many (including myself) alongside vajra, jam session, sentinel drones, etc. Eh? Morrigan hasn't ever been in Marvel EVO GF's (2011/2012). She has been in top 8, though.
  12. Okay, sir. I'm not flattering anyone. Let's not pretend like netplay ranking indefinitely equates to skill level. Yeah, it's fine (contrary to popular belief, evidently). For instance, Hi_Pikachu and I regularly share a 3 bar connection with each other; he lives in New Jersey while I live in Ontario. The problem is, a good portion of the already small online BlazBlue community consists of Japanese, Korean, and Chinese players (I'm not quite sure if this is a universal trait among the consoles as well). As long as you have a solid internet connection and play with people you know/people near you, you should be fine. Also, some people are utterly clueless and have like 18 family members mutually connected to their internet while downloading random nonsense. The only thing that I don't particularly like about the Vita version is the fact that I'm being forced to use the d-pad/analog instead of a fightstick (which is why I've been considering heading out and just picking up a Ps3 for CP, this may be a poor decision since it is reaching the end of it's life-cycle). Plus, I do really enjoy the portable aspect of the Vita; it lets me spend more time in the lab while being able to focus on other things. So, yeah.
  13. Oh, you needn't apologize; I had no specific time-frame in mind. I guess I'll just send you a message on PSN via my main account and we'll set-up a time that directly correlates with our individual availability. I'm pretty casual/lenient, so we can play whenever.
  14. This may or may not be relevant, but here is a quick demo of CP unlimited Valkenhayn. The only thing that really caught my eye was this new distortion drive. Other then that, we have weird float properties, we retained our two other unlimited exclusive distortions, nacht jager has new properties, w[214A/B] still ground bounces, more wolf meter, start with none, rasen is faster, 6C still works in the air, etc. All in all, unlimited Valkenhayn looks much faster this time around. Yet, he still starts with no wolf meter and builds it up slowly; which is what I've always disliked about his unlimited mode. Ah well. 15. 3G is generally a pretty terrible idea anyways in terms of good connectivity. Wireless is pretty much all we got. My net is pretty good and I'm only a few feet away from my modem. I guess it couldn't hurt to test it out? If you'd like, of course; I've never really played against a competent Rachel player before. That sounds like a hilarious strategy. Erm, mindgames? But, I suck. Plus, Valkenhayn does like no damage.
  16. Anyone got the Vita version of the game that wants to play against a terrible Valkenhayn player?
  17. That's nearly the same amount of damage that we're currently getting off of a cornered 6B FC confirm. Something is amiss. I do fancy that 4 beast cannon variation, so I'll list it. It seems to be better for damage and possibly meter gain (though, beast cannon's don't give us much meter anymore so who knows). It's definitely worse for wolf meter conservation though. And yeah, he definitely could have used the w[3D > j.C > dj.D] > j.C > (j.C) ender. Thanks Kiba.
  18. But what does it all mean?
  19. I may quite possibly be the only one thinking this, but Azrael's maniacal laugh is absolutely astounding. I've noticed that he only ever does it during his aerial back-dash (or at least, that's what I've witnessed from watching Azrael vs Valkenhayn footage). Such an interesting character.
  20. That first guy plays just like Drops especially with those silly rapid cancel's during wolf strings that nobody else does. Also, he attempted a few of those w[j.A x N > j.B > 3D] > 5D > 5B, etc conversions that he likes to do. The second and third parts looked like Uma No Hone. He's the only one that I've seen in CP thus far actively using the wolf break j.A IOH regularly and those are the combo's that he uses with the standard j.B > dj.B > j.C and tk.214B > 6C > 3C > 236B enders. Additionally, Uma has been using the Slayer color palette for quite a while now and you'd be hard-pressed to find him using anything else. 22. Hima's Valkenhayn is the equivalent of poetry in motion. His play just feels so polished and refined, it's unreal. I forgot to mention the range on w[5C]! That was one of the first things that I was excited about regarding the move. The w[j.236B > 2D > 5D] > 2C, etc stuff is okay for Back to Corner combo's, but for anything else it just feels redundant (especially in corner combo's). Something such as this: j.A > 5C > 6D > j.A > j.C > j.236B > 2D > j.B > 5C > 6D > j.A > 5B > IAD > j.A > j.B [2062 DMG, 15 HG] while interesting just seems like a blatant waste of wolf meter for a sub-par IAD ender and a mere 2k of damage. On the other hand, something like this: 5C > 6D > j.A > 5B > j.C > j.236B > 2D > j.D > h[2C > 6C > 236A > 5B > 2C > j.A > j.B > dj.B > j.C] [3135 DMG, 23 HG] is pretty decent for wolf regen time and damage. Overall, however; this is by far my favorite Back to Corner combo as of now: 5B > 5C > 6D > j.A > 5C > 236A > 6D > 5D > h[2C > 6B > 2C > tk.214B > IAD] > j.D > j.A > j.A > 5B > j.A > j.C > dj.D > h[j.C] [3307 DMG, 24 HG] Speaking of new wolf normal CH exceptions, we actually do get more damage from a w[5C] CH. w[5C CH > 6D > 5D > 2C, etc]. Ah I see, well, Zekuso is very good. So he's definitely someone worth watching consistently. Oh, and one more thing. I've been wondering as to why I've only really seen Hima doing the w[3D > j.C] > dj.D > j.C > (j.C) ender in a good portion of his combo's? It seems to be working quite well for him and I don't understand what reasoning others have behind not using it as well? I've seen Nao do it on a few rares occasions, I saw Drops do it once, and I've seen a few other random's do it rarely as well. Other then that, it's mainly Hima's thing right now. And considering the fact that he is a well known/respected Valkenhayn player that others would seemingly attempt to assimilate, it just doesn't make much sense.
